Trust me the more adapted you are to carnivore the less adapted you will be to “non-optimal” foods. Just like alcohol you develop a tolerance. My tolerance to heavy carb foods is over. I’d have to build it up gradually if I wanted to and I don’t. The benefit of the pain I felt is it will be a strong reminder to stay strict carnivore. I feel better the longer I do it. Temptation goes into remission but it doesn’t seem to die.

Yes, that sounds familiar. The first time it happened to me was a few months ago. After being strict for many months and then all of a sudden eating loads of carb one day because the attic and me somehow took over. It was very painful, but the pain went away within an hour. Today the pain was so intense and lasted throughout the day. By the evening time, the pain was manageable. Hopefully by tomorrow morning, I feel fine.

I only have 11 months in and have only cheated once or twice, once with a rack of ribs with BBQ sauce and once accidentally picking up a vanilla milk drink. Yes bubble guts. My pain is very similar to gas bloating pain. But it is very sharp and only on one side. I’m wondering if it’s my liver being stressed or injured from too many carbs all at once and not being used to it.

Hello everyone, I’ve been eating carnivore for eight years. I have occasional cheats with fruit and mostly in the summer and very small amount. Most of the year I don’t eat any carbs I have a question every once in a while I eat something very terrible. For me terrible is milkshake and a burger with a bun. I got extreme pain last time I did it. On the left side of my lower abdomen. Has anyone had severe pain on their lower abdomen from consuming too many carbs all at once after not having consumed any for many months? Just wondering if anyone else has this issue and how they dealt with the pain. Thank you.
