About Me

Have struggled with sugar addiction my entire life and have quit it many times. And I have relapsed every single time. When I began the Carnivore diet for my second try recently I decided to seek a support system (Hence joining this forum), and to not daily  "romance" the foods I missed, as I had always done, but to pay attention to how I was feeling without those "treats;" and to focus on how much better I would be feeling. Following this bout of sugar withdrawal (six full days), I am now well again and feeling so much better. I am a good cook and have decided to actively have as much variety in my meals as eating carnivore will allow.

On a personal level, I just turned 80 (still 30 in my head), have four grown children (an urban planner, an airline pilot, a contractor specializing in high end renovations, and an artist), have nine grandchildren, am a retired investigative reporter, author of several books, have animal companions, and I enjoy my garden, reading, writing, and online conversations with friends all over the world.
