  4. ^ yep they are convinced doctors know best and are not to be questioned! My friend says his blindness has nothing to do with his diabetes, wonder who told him that?
  5. Yesterday at church a friend of mine who is blind, diabetic and on GLP1 said "life wouldn't be worth living if he couldn't eat the foods he likes"

  10. I'd say don't worry about a maximum or minimum amount of beef to eat, just eat when you can for starters. there are plenty of support groups in addition to this forum.
  11. I remember when I was where you are now I was not eating nearly enough to maintain my health. My weight lose had stalled and I responded by eating less and less, not the right move. you can take mag and potassium pills, easier than making your own. hang in there. tell us about yourself, why you're here etc.

  13. If I had to draw a comparison between carnivore and the Bible it would be like the lifting of a veil. Once we were blind-but now we see. Who it is that actually does the lifting I'll leave for another forum 🙂 Good post Geezy!
  14. We know where the 12 lbs came from, it ain't muscle. reading your post one would have no idea what your goal/goals are. What is your goal?? You're not gonna build any muscle fasting and under eating. And your not gonna loose much weight lifting. Sounds like you're fasting one minute trying to build muscle the next. and gaining 12 pounds of fat in doing so. Max German (spelling?) on youtube details a proper carnivore way to get to a goal whatever that may be. keep working at it, I applaud your diligence.
  15. I think I only sleep like 5 or 6 hours a night. while most say that is terrible, I'm not sleepy during the day so I figure if my body needs more it will find a way to get more. Your parents/inlaws were just like mine. Talking to them is like talking to a stone wall, I call it doctor worship. I figure since they trust the medical establishment, they should count on them for their end of life care as well. Heck, they'll love all the orange juice, cookies and oatmeal in the nursing home. I'll visit when I can.

  17. I 've watched all 37,527 no carb life interviews and some people say they struggled for awhile. It seems pretty common for those with health problems to take longer to feel better. Low energy.. don't feel like beef? eat butter! We know here carnivore is cheaper than SAD. I can say you're on the right track, don't doubt your decision. Muscle through the discomfort you'll thank yourself later.
  18. dunno, I don't use premixed protein drinks there's probably to much sugar etc. in them. I get some non flavored powder measure out the amount of protein I want and mix it in a bowl with a raw egg or a little water into a soupy consistency like oatmeal.
  19. not sure of your current weight, but I go with 1 gram per pound per day of IDEAL WEIGHT. meaning what would my body weigh if I was 20 years old again, in top condition weighing in for a ufc/wrestling match. true nutrition out of vista CA. has low sweetened powder. I'd encourage anyone to loose the last 20 lbs. After all, we are walking billboards for this diet/lifestyle. It's hard enough to get people to think as is. keep working at it.
