I went to Costco tonight and picked up a 24 lb chuck roll at $4.97 a lb. This is my 4th one since January 1st….love these things. It’s almost exclusively cooked in the crockpot overnight and the house smells so good when I wake up.

I’m flying into Plattsburgh on the 19th, so I won’t be going through. Another time perhaps! -

Thanks for the response. I’ve actually changed my mind on going Ketovore for the time being. Last night I was given what I believe was some solid advice on sticking with carnivore until my weight goals are met. I’m pretty close. -

Likewise Geoff! (I go by “Tom”) -
I’m so happy I started this journey! I have been on beef, bacon, butter, and eggs, with occasional chicken or pork. I started at 209 lbs and weighed 175 today. I’m continuing, but going to Ketovore for a little variety. I don’t post a lot on here, but I do read a fair amount. I’d like to thank you guys for the encouragement along the way. It’s going to be fun to go back to NY (in fl for the winter) since I haven’t told anyone there what I’ve been doing

Irregular heartbeat and palpitations

Good timing for this post. I’ve been on metropolol for about 5 months now. I bought an Apple Watch a couple months ago and I’ve discovered my heart rate has been getting very low, sometimes into the upper 30’s. I don’t have a cardiologist here in Florida so I asked for a telemedicine appointment with my doc in Ny. I was told I have to be in NY to get a telemedicine appointment. I cut my dosage in half (it was 25mg) and still had the issue. Yesterday I stopped taking it altogether. I’ll be home on the 19th of April and will go in then. I was put on the med due to my heart rate being over 100, 12% of the time when I wore a Holter for 3 days. -
I’m fortunate to spend my winters in sw Florida. I work as a starter 2 days a week at a private golf club. This entails walking up and down the range, sending people to the tee box when it’s their time. I usually get at least 15,000 steps a day doing that. The other five days I hit the gym. I started carnivore Jan 1st and still going strong. Down 29 pounds. I go for blood work in April and I’m sure my dr will flip out when she hears I stopped my statin. I’ve been researching on what my response will be. My CAC is 412. An angiogram showed only 25% stenosis of two coronary arteries.

Do you have an accountability partner?
Outdoorstom replied to Heatman's topic in General Health and Wellness Discussion
Nope, solo here. My wife supports me, but is not on the diet. I don’t need to be held accountable….I’ve got an all or nothing personality and 6 weeks in I can honestly say I haven’t cheated once. Down 23 pounds. -

That looks amazing! -
I’m very generous in the use of my Himalayan salt, and I add electrolytes to my water, which I’m drinking lots of. I cut back a little on the fat after eating too much and dealing with diarrhea a few days ago. I still believe I’m getting plenty of it though.

Thanks for taking the time share your journey and encourage me on mine. I read all the time people saying they don’t feel hungry. I’m feeling hunger pains 5 or 6 hours after eating and I don’t know why. It may be habit as you mentioned. I drink extra water when they hit and that helps for a while. My energy level isn’t where I think it should be yet though.

Nearly finished with my first month. Can honestly say I have not cheated once! I’m down 14 pounds. Today was my second OMAD and I have to say, I get pretty hungry before the 24 hours is up. I’ve been hitting the gym daily.

I started January 1st on the BBBE diet and so far, so good. I was 209 when I started and I had my annual physical today and I was 205. I told my doctor about my diet and she said I shouldn’t do it longer than 2 months. She wants me back for cholesterol bloodwork in 3 months. I’m doing it for 90 days, or more than likely longer. I’m expecting my numbers to be good, except for LDL which is already high and I’m on a statin.

Thanks you for the welcome and advice. It’s 9:45 pm and I just saw this now. Too late….I jumped right in. At 8:30 this morning I had ground beef and two eggs. I enjoyed it so much I made the same meal tonight at 7:00, plus added bacon. That really is my personality type though….all or nothing. I guess we’ll see how it goes! Thanks again….sincerely.
