  3. that's good advise geezy. what's weird is that i tend to gravitate towards a 20 hour fast. but eating 2 meals within 4 hours seems a little strange. i don't know why, but it's hard for me to push beyond 4 hours.

  6. yes paul i'm trying to narrow my window to maybe 4 hours. OMAD is too stressful still. 16:8 makes me feel sluggish all day. i hate being at work after eating anything. i really like fasting all day. i run into trouble, though, when i eat a large meal first, then i don't feel to eat again later in the evening, making me break my fast earlier the next day. thus repeating the cycle.

  9. i've been fasting for years now, even before carnivore. skipping breakfast is pretty easy. i can sometimes skip lunch but i think my body is too stressed to do 20 hour fasts. today i tried and i actually suffered SI so i broke my fast at 18 hours. that might be the new sweet spot for me.

  13. that's very interesting. it doesn't look like i can do carnivore indefinitely. i just keep reaching for sugar and alcohol. although i did recently procure some magic mushrooms. if i can successfully microdose that, then i might not need to reach for sugar and booze in the evenings. my goal is just to feel good. not great but good enough that i don't need beer to forget about all of my problems. we will see i guess.

  16. Yes indeed. OMAD would be the most convenient but it’s hard to pull off. Eating twice a day seems the best for my rhythm.

  19. thanks scott. at my best i was able to do carnivore plus fasting for 5 or 6 days in a row and i felt pretty good. but by the weekend i'd always want to celebrate with sugar and alcohol. not sure why, other than the fact that both carnivore and fasting create a lot of stress on my body.
  20. yeah geezy i feel pretty worthless after doing omad. i'm gonna try 2mad and see how i fair. although i really don't like eating meat more than once a day but i can try eggs for my second meal. i do ok with eggs and maybe a small amount of cheese on top.
  21. geezy that's very good to hear! i have a long ways to go i guess.
  22. so i feel pretty lousy after i eat. i do eat a big carnivore meal, with one piece of fruit (under 50 grams of carbs). so my insulin is ok. but the post food coma is too much. this causes me to drink alcohol, as i have a difficult time sitting with discomfort.

  26. hi there. i started carnivore 5 years ago. i made a lot of progress. i was with doctor shawn baker's community, meat rx. we had zoom calls every day. i made a lot of progress. i crashed and burned after 16 months, when i contracted long covid. i resumed 2 months ago and have made some progress. my meat selection is tastier so that i don't develop meat aversion. i'm also fasting every day. can anyone tell me how long it takes to acheive carnivore clarity? or keto bliss? i need to start feeling better soon, otherwise i will not be motivated to avoid drinking booze. i really need to feel good. this is my only goal in life. to feel well. i'm really hoping carnivore can do this for me, since there is nothing else that can reverse my biplolar disorder.
