  1. I have been lifting weights 4 times a week, treadmill (walk nowadays, used to run) 6-7 days a week for 40+ years. I have added restorative yoga once a week for a couple of years. I run three or four 5Ks a year since 1999. The 50-59 female age group is pretty small, so I usually come in first. Exercise has never made the slightest impact on my weight, I do it to stay healthy and mobile as I age.
  2. What do you guys think about using (clean, grassfed) whey protein powder occasionally for those who cannot eat enough protein for whatever reason? Also; for those having trouble getting enough fat, or on the verge of giving up because they're desperate for something other than meat, utilizing a serving KetoChow to stay technically Carnivore?
  3. Hadn't thought of that! I'll post it in a few days. 😊
  4. I'm not a big fan of eggs. To lesson the taste and boost my nutrition; I mix 2 scoops of unflavored collagen into two eggs and cook in either bacon fat, or a lot of butter. It gets really fluffy and kind of crunchy.
  5. I've only been Carnivore 3 weeks and it's just finally started to become "normal". Currently I'm about 55% fat. If I go higher (right now) it's like brown water. Electrolytes and dialing in your personal fat tolerance seems to be key. It can take a long time. Remember, your body is busy healing years to decades of damage.
  6. I want to say Streetcar named Desire?
  7. How long have you been Carnivore, what was your diet before, and are you getting enough fat? The transition period can have some weird side effects.
  8. Any pictures? Here are my furbabies: Gryffin (3), Berrin (12) & Rowan (12)
  9. I used to give blood and they would always have a hissy fit over my cholesterol (around 500). My triglycerides were low, even when I was eating my worst, and my ratio was always great. Now I'm eating the Proper Human Diet. I can't do any better than that. It will be what my genes determine it should be. I have zero heart disease in my family anyway.
  10. Once we move, I may get a yogurt maker. Although I have to see if we can get raw milk where we end up. It's easy to get here.
  11. I don't have an instantpot. I may buy one after we move.
  12. Hi Geoff & Laura! Thanks for the encouragement😊
  13. Hi Scott! You'll be shouting from the rooftops soon enough!
  14. Here's the link, Miranda : https://youtube.com/@susyn_c137?si=R452-Ivdxo72fJQC You will be disappointed 😆
  15. Hi Miranda! I just have shorts on my channel so far, my longest is just over a minute. It's public. @Susyn_C137. I have a whole 6 followers 😆 I'm a homemaker as well; no kids, just dogs. I was the one reluctant to go Carnivore, my husband has been Carnivore for about a year (minus my bad influence a few times). He's an OTR flatbed driver, so he's gone 320+ days a year. Nice to "meat" you!
  16. The cleanest one I could find around here is Simple Truth Organic Greek Whole Milk plain. No added sugar, no stabilizers, 7g carbs per 2/3 cup serving.

  18. Whole milk yogurt with collagen and iodine drops, bacon, steak and a tiny bit of raw cheddar. Black iced tea to wean off oxylates. Pretty much the same thing every day.
  19. Hi everyone. My name is Susyn, I'm 55, and I'm hoping this group is my new home? I have tried many other groups, but I never felt like I belonged. I just started a tiny youtube channel just to keep me motivated. My journey is a little different, I'm not on any medications, I'm only about 15 pounds overweight, and I have no real health issues. I just want to stay that way, and hopefully improve my minor issues as I age. I'm very boring, I don't drink alcohol (or coffee), do any drugs, or smoke. I've never been interested in any of those things. I've been working out since I was 12, only taking time off when I was injured, or after a surgery. I was anorexic as a teen, and became a compulsive eater after my mom died when I was 21. I've gained and lost the same 40 pounds multiple times over the years. Been on every diet from Cambridge liquid diet in the 80s, calorie restriction, phen-fen, etc. I don't want to diet anymore. I just want to be healthy. My issue is that I dislike meat, always have. (It was easy for me to be vegan 20 years ago-that lasted 2 years) I've been Carnivore since July 8th. So far my eyesight (far and near) has improved, my panic attacks have gone, my skin is better, my occasional ocular migraines have ceased, and my tinnitus has all but disappeared. I see the benefits, but I still struggle. Sorry for the length of this, I didn't know what to leave out. Have a great day!
