Yep,especially after finding out about benefits in your own health... I for one don't want to get back to carb-o-land.
20+ years ago I was just curious. And I enjoyed the ketosis feel. Now it's about health too. Stent and heart failure and afib to name a few.
I rarely need spray nitro any more. My gout is gone, I'm off allopurinol for half a year and eat anchovies, chicken wings, mushrooms, nothing triggers gout any more.
I've been off statins for a year. Lost 28 kilos, normal bmi now. I can squat and get up again... just so much healthier all in all.
Christmas hi carb diet week experiment did not matter. I'm back on track.

    Here is one more:
Many think of "diets" as some kind of magic temporary quick fixes, often for weight loss.
They have read "I lost 100 pounds in three weeks!" -interviews and get frustrated quickly because that did not happen.
Patience is a rare virtue in Today's World.

    Welcome Mary.
I’ve been seeing many of those click bait posts on Utube here lately but it’s just that…click bait. Many people don’t really understand carnivore. Carnivore is not a true zero carb diet. There is no such thing as even eating all fat and protein you will still get some carbs. Even if you intentionally eat a few carby items now and then it doesn’t mean you aren’t carnivore. Even the lion and the wolf will eat grass occasionally.
Carnivore is about providing your body with the optimal food to get the optimal nutrition that it runs best on and that’s animal fats and proteins. If one is eating a diet that consists primarily of those two items I think they could still be considered carnivore. Some purists might disagree and that’s their prerogative to do so but that wouldn’t make them right, only dogmatic.

Yeah, flexibility really comes back. Part of it may be increased activity because of weight loss. Excercise is easier. And less joint strain from all that mass, too.
A year ago I noticed it was hard to squat and especially get back up. This summer all that trouble was gone, I am riding fast sportsbikes @ 62 years. I have lost almost 30 kg in a year , I fit in my 90's leathers -and I'm staying here without dietary worries, all this is automatic by now.

I'm not full carni though, 10 g carbs max per day keeps my keto going good.

That is sort of how it works. It takes time and then it feels "all of a sudden".
Congrats. I'm in the same boat. I can't see eating another way after all the positives I have had since going carnivore.
I guess my biggest fear is with my luck I will choose the very thing that caused me issues in the past. My luck ruins like that. LOL
I'm pretty much going with the 'not going to rock the boat' approach to my current eating plan.

At about 3 months on carnivore I really noticed circulation and body weakness on my left side and as the weight came off a number of health issues I had before that were hidden. I'mnow around 7 months pretty strict carnivore. Today I was out walking and noticed a significant return of strength on my left side (just about perfectly matching my right side) and only a twinge of pain in my hip at one point. I experienced much quicker recovery on my right side, so discovery is very encouraging. Not going back.

The newest improvements Ive just noted is the ability easily bend over and pick stuff up, squat down and easily get up, and to balance on one leg. Balance is not 100% quite yet but huge improvements when I think back to January of this year.

Excellent. I love hearing about carnivore successes, even the seemingly small ones that actually really really matter as they continue to add up. Keep doing what you are doing!

I met a cardiologist the other day. Ultrasonic inspection. He was nice and polite -but everything was about cholesterol and cholesterol medication. Diet was never mentioned, he did not comment my weight loss in any way either. 67 lbs gone in eight months.
Cholesterol number is the Gospel. I did not comment much at all.
Good new is that my heart has not gotten any worse.

Here in Finland we have a company that makes good keto ice cream. 2,9g carbs, 20 g fat. Erythritol does not bother me.
I had some canned herring last month, a few herring lunches with eggs. Hot days in the garden, nice.
But I noticed my BP got much higher for two weeks, only then I realised that there is lots of sugar hidden in all canned herring! My one and only sugar accident this year.
Blood ketones dropped for a while too.
I can not have any sugar, bread etc. I start slipping little by little, a croissant next week, then chocolate, french fries the following week... sugar is a drug for me.
I don't drink alcohol either because I get nothing out of a glass of wine or one beer. A case of beer is much better, or three bottles of red wine for cooking and dinner...

I can't decide if it sparked a sugar craving and I replaced it with steak or whether it simply made my hungry. Not sure.
Regardless, it sparked appetite and I have not had that in a while.
I never had like sugar cravings or withdrawals or any issue starting carnivore 'cold turkey' off the other foods. I guess looking back I didn't give sugar its just due. It is indeed a powerful substance.

If I have a little refined sugar, I find myself wanting to look for ways to slip in a little more here and a little more there. I definitely think there is an addictive aspect to it.
This is in particular with glucose, as it goes straight to the cells. Something that's mostly fructose, like many fruits, do not trigger these impulses in me.

I was talking to a retired doctor at the gym on Sunday. I am a big fan of experience and knowledge and those being based on time.
We were talking kids and doctors and prescriptions and the internet and some of everything. One of the older guys mentioned that doctors were once held in a much higher regard. And another mentioned pills seem to be the answer for everything.
The retired doctor chimed in and I thought what he said was sort of enlightening. I was the youngest in the group at 56 so he was talking to my age group and older.
In so many words.....there is only one generation that has been born in the internet age with any and all information at their finger tips. For the most part, anyone 30 and under was born with the same access to medical information as their doctors. We never had that. In the 70's and 80's we had a set of the 1978 World Book Encyclopedias, the school library and the public library. Our medicinal knowledge was limited to those resources. The person that went off to medical school had accesses we did not have and thus were on another level. When someone knows something you don't, and uses that knowledge to help you, especially in a time of need, they get to another level really quickly. Once the doctor gets to that next level his word is not only golden but it becomes the gospel. Then overtime Big Pharma and Big Insurance starts their version of "practicing medicine" and that money started to dictate patient care. When their world is the gospel and the newer method is to prescribe pills the unknowing went with what they have trusted. To refer to those people as 'sheep' is really an unfair criticism.
Fast forward to the groups (around age 40's and up) who have internet access for a large portion of their lives there is the movements away from the norm (carnivore being one).
Doctors in turn trained new doctors, kids trusted their parents/grandparents and in most cases learned to trust the people (doctors) that their parents trusted.
It was almost the perfect storm. As the internet becomes more and more of a factor in everyday life there is a break from the norms and people are challenging doctors and medicine because they now have access to the very same information as everyone else. Taht has not always been the case. The playing field is more level now than ever and people can now arm themselves with knowledge and information that actually rivals that of their doctors.
It was an interesting conversation. Sort of a new perspective.

This is good: Mix approx. equal amounts of cottage cheese and eggs (I put 300 g cheese and three eggs) , spread on paper and bake in medium oven for 15-20 minutes.
    Cut in slices.
This stays good in the fridge for a long time, good with Bulletproof coffee. Just spread on some butter and whatever you fancy.
Can be used as wraps for Tortillas, too.

If you were the devil and wanted to keep an entire nation sick, what would you do?
That’s a powerful thought experiment — often used to explore systemic issues through a provocative lens. If you were "the devil" and wanted to keep an entire nation sick (physically, mentally, or spiritually), you'd likely focus on slow, seductive strategies that undermine well-being while appearing convenient or even desirable.
    Here’s how that might look:
    1. Corrupt the Food Supply
    Normalize ultra-processed, addictive, nutrient-poor foods.
Make unhealthy food cheaper, more accessible, and more heavily advertised than whole foods.
Subsidize ingredients like corn syrup, soy oil, and refined grains.
    2. Undermine Preventive Health
Promote a reactive health system that treats symptoms with drugs but rarely addresses root causes.
Discourage movement, sleep, and stress reduction — make them feel like luxuries instead of necessities.
    3. Weaponize Misinformation
Flood the public with conflicting health advice, creating confusion and apathy.
Elevate fad diets, miracle pills, and pseudoscience to distract from sustainable, evidence-based habits.
    4. Promote Chronic Stress and Isolation
Encourage a culture of overwork, comparison, and consumerism.
Undermine community, family, and spiritual life — replacing connection with screens and shallow interactions.
    5. Make Sickness Profitable
Turn healthcare into big business, where keeping people chronically ill generates ongoing revenue.
Incentivize treatments over cures, and diagnostics over prevention.
    6. Shape Minds Early
Condition children with junk food marketing, sedentary entertainment, and overstimulation.
Undervalue physical education, outdoor play, and critical thinking in schools.
    7. Distract and Divide
Keep people distracted by drama, outrage, and endless scrolling.
Pit groups against each other so they’re too divided to demand systemic change.
This kind of mental exercise can be helpful for uncovering structural problems that contribute to poor health. It's a wake-up call to recognize harmful patterns—and to reclaim personal and collective agency in the face of them.
    LOOK FAMILIAR?
