qassembbh got a reaction from Orweller in Mouth sore and sensitive
Hi Shane, welcome! It's not uncommon for people starting the carnivore diet to experience some sensitivity, especially early on. The increased sensitivity to smells and soreness in the mouth could be related to your body adjusting to the diet and detoxifying. Some people report changes in taste and mouth sensitivity as their bodies adapt to a high-protein, low-carb regimen.
As for the toothpaste irritation, it's possible that the ingredients in certain brands can be harsher on a more sensitive mouth. You could try a gentler toothpaste, or one that's free of irritants like fluoride or SLS (sodium lauryl sulfate), which some people find aggravates their gums or tongue.
Have you noticed any other changes since starting the carnivore diet?

🤣 I see you've found the trout treasure! 🐟 Maybe you’re just a fish whisperer – it was probably begging you, "Please, eat me!" Salmon may have its charm, but it sounds like trout really hooked you in! Maybe next time you’ll even trout your way to a 5-pound feast! 😜

Those are the main two things right now. I would also say that the hunger that I used to experience has all but gone away. I get hungry, but I only feeling it once maybe twice a day now. When I eat, I feel full for along time.
