  4. Tnx again all. Geezy, how long have you been on carnivore? How long have you had ibd? How long after starting carnivore till you found remission? I got banned form most all of the ibd forums because I post positive about carnivore and they claim im a fraud and nothing "cures" ibd, even though I never claim im "cured", just that im in remission. They all seem to have such closed minds to anything that is not Big Pharma related (I failed 3 biologics), and have been brainwashed to believe drugs and the medical community have all the answers. Of course none of them have ever even tried the carnivore diet, yet they have no issues recommending every other elimination diet. I was so desperate to find relief and so glad I have found it with this diet. Thanks again and best wishes

  11. Thanks for the replies. I take a vitamin because I still suffer from malabsorption due to my crohns/colitis dx. At my lowest point of my disease i was at 114lbs, down from 160 (m/65, 68" tall). I would eat 5k calories a day and lose weight. Im now up to 145lbs but still feel like a have a malabsorption issue. So even though im not sure the supps are helping, I just take them hoping my progress continues. Im so fearful of falling back into flaring im afraid to change anything. All I know is this is what's working for me and I've tried damn near every other diet, med, supp, medical recommendation, surgeries, treatments, etc., and nothing worked till I went carnivore. When you're as sick as I was and have now found remission, I cant take the risk of changing. I know in reality I probably dont need supps, but mentally, im stuck. Thanks for much for the feedback, its nice to be able to share opinions without pushback like on so many other sites. Oh, krill oil seems to have a soothing effect on my scared colon. Fish oil also helps, but gives me upset stomach for some reason. Glad my labs seem in line with a carnivore diet. Thanks again

  13. Hi all Im new here, been on carnivore for the last 19 months. Very successful at putting my crohns into remission. No flares since starting, feel best I have in years. Had my first labs since starting and wondering if my numbers are somewhat normal for a carnivore diet. I eat mostly red meats, eggs, and butter (no other dairy) along with some chicken and fish occasionally. Only water. I take a few supps like a good daily vitamin, steer organ supp, cal/mag supp, & krill oil. Lots of pink Himalayan salt. My dr knows im carnivore and even though he knows im feeling the best in like 10 years, thinks my lipids are to high. Any feedback would be appreciated.
