  1. Those are carb withdrawals, and the fact you are not fat adapted, being it, you're only a day in, a release of ghrelin hormone is sending you a message that your usual carb intake was not there. Obviously, when you know you just ate, you are not starving. In addition, you need more fuel in fat with pork chops. Add some butter and you'll see those pangs will decrease. It will take from 2 to 4 weeks. After over a year I still sometimes get that pang, because I have always finished a meal with a desert, or something sweet. Fat is fuel now. Good luck.
  2. Saladino is irrelevant to the keto/carnivore space. Unless you like watermelon and honey, then he is the expert you wanna listen to. You can be carnivore and eat a pot of honey without the guilt.
  3. I prefer to live in a vast cloud of bliss and yes, do prepare my bacon in a pan, cluelessly so. A hill I am prepared to die on lol.
  4. You may be on to something here.
  5. Because without it, we die.
  6. Caffeine is one of my last vices. I'll admit.
  7. I haven't used shampoo in years! Of course, because it's no longer needed Deodorant is a sometimes for me. And I concur, on carnivore, your teeth are in a much better shape.
  8. It's not a big deal to use spices. Unless you're really sensitive to carbs, oxalates, phytotoxins, etc.
  9. You are correct, sir. About $12 a tube. But definitely a more natural tooth paste than anything with fluoride. Listerine is not as good as many think it is. Killing ALL bacteria in your mouth is just not a good idea. It disrupts the oral microbiome tremendously. Also some mouth washes are acidic enough to increase the chance of cavities. Again, mouth health is directly connected to gut health. I've stopped using it all together. And I've used Listerine for 3 decades. Boca may be expensive, but the crown I had placed could've bought me a lifetime of tooth paste. We always need to ask, compared to what? Remember that nano-hydroxyapatite can be found normally in the mouth, fluoride however, is not. So I consider a toothpaste like Boca a holistic approach -compared to- other toothpastes. Belongs in the trash in my humble opinion. Again, stuff I used for decades.
  10. A ribeye would definitely be easier lol
  11. Definitely more normal as eating all that sugar.
  12. I saw this. Glad I only drink water or coffee. I do like his channel.
  13. Absolutely, because it's the most toxic. It's a triple edged sword when it comes to bringing chaos to one body.
  14. I wish I had the patience to conjure up such a majestic dinner. I say that as I am eating fried spam, feeling so much less sophisticated lol.
  15. I am but a simpleton who buys the enchilada powder (has a few carbs) and throw it unceremoniously into by ground beef. Then I eat it without much fanfare. It's why I will and never have been, a "foodie". But that's not a flex, it's my admission of jealousy. I just hate every minute of cooking, a blessing and a curse.
  16. Both very tricky for the mouth micro-biome. Abrasive for teeth (oversimplified, I know). What's bad for the mouth is bad for the stomach. So I'd drink little bits of it and as quick as possible. A straw would help as well.
  17. A toothpaste without the harmful effects of fluoride. My teeth feel much better, smoother. nano-hydroxyapatite is the way to go.
  18. It can even be both.
  19. Exactly. I think it is fine for him to eat what he wants, but he wants to keep his brand as well. Can't have the cake and eat it right? Oh, wait, for him it actually seems to work. I am saying all this not out of hate. I just know that my wife eats like that and she is far from being carnivore, keto, or even low carb. I stress, she is a long distance athlete and has a very fit body and lifestyle. In one of Saladino's videos I saw him put an entire watermelon in the blender and drink it. Made me think of vegans, they seem to use watermelons to remain satiated during the day, and that even there's such thing as "watermelon belly". Saladino may be great for those who are not interested in keto, low-carb, or carnivore. But in my view, he's just rationalizing his addiction. I am aware he gets flack from the zealots out there, and maybe rightfully so, but that ain't my fight. I just like honesty, don't piss on my leg and tell me it rains. Don't tell me your animal based while blending a watermelon. It's just so insincere. Coming from a guy who ate 2 cookies yesterday and call myself carnivore! I fell off in a weak moment lol. Back on track.
  20. Up to a 180 grams of carbs is in my opinion, no longer, an animal based diet. It's not even a low carb diet. Paleo would be a lot closer to what he eats, sort of. It's no longer someone who's in the Keto realm, far removed from what the keto/carnivore space. And all of that is fine. Then why not just say, "I quit the diet and now eat whole foods again". And again, you know I am far from a purist, but advocating high fat, and then those amounts of carbs, is irresponsible. It just Randles me, I mean, rattles me lol.
  21. He always provides a very balanced view. No rhetoric, no dogma, just offers great advice and has tons of clinical experience. He also emphasizes fat intake. Laslty, he acknowledges that carnivore or keto may not be for some, instead a low carb (sub 100gr) approach may be the answer.
  22. I've never considered Saladino an authority on the subject. I do prefer Eric Westman, when it comes to keto/Adkins approach outside of the carnivore spectrum. Also, a "small pre-surf meal" is also a meal. There's insulin response, a degree of inflammatory response. There's no such thing as a snack. So that statement is already a bit disingenuous. It's like when people say; I am doing a avocado fast, or whatever, you're not fasting! You are eating avocado's! lol. Lastly, 180gr of carbs is crazy. That is not even a discussion for me. And then the overconsumption of organ meat... That's just me personally. Carbs are carbs are carbs.
