U.S. medical "anything" is very poor! I'm glad I don't use it but once a year or so for a free check-up, else I wouldn't go at all. Once again this year all my blood and urine tests came back great. Doctor said "whatever you are doing, keep it up". I just laugh to myself and say "I will". Right after the exam I went to Walmart and bought some ribeyes. It's a shame we can't have something better for our health care in our country. In December I start Medicare, which will cost 4 X what I pay now, and get even less for my money. I'll use that till the money runs out and then use the free clinic in our town.

Pretty cool you and your wife can do it together. Almost like 'in-house support'.
I'm a big fan. I have yet to nail down the ending of the fasting, but I guess I will eventually get there.
I'm about 27-28 hours deep. At this point it is sort of like a normal day. I do feel a tad bit hungry, but I think it may be mental. If I did not say I was 'fasting' out loud I would eat about every 24 hours anyway and not be hungry at all. Not sure.
Good luck with the Wednesdays. I'm sure it will be just as effective.

We won't know the truth ever about this matter as they (government) will tell us what they think we should hear.
Regardless do your research, live life to the fullest and enjoy life.

If is sentence was life in solitary confinement with Charlie Kirk videos on endless repeat until the day he died, I wouldn't be against that, lol. He can grow old listening to Charlie Kirk non-stop, with Charlie Kirk's voice being the last thing he hears as he passes away. Maybe he will realize he was wrong, and that Charlie never uttered so-called "hate speech", and that he was neither a racist, homophone, white supremacist, or any of the other host of lies people say about him.
I'll admit that I have some inner conflict when it comes to news like this. On the one hand, the killer should be punished to the furthest extent of the law, whatever that may be. At the same time, I mirror the creator's feelings in that God ".... does not desire anyone to be destroyed but desires all to attain to repentance." (2 Peter 3:9)
I supposed both outcomes are not necessarily exclusive of the other.

I agree with "to attain repentance" but the darker side of me in these situations has no problem setting up the appointment.
But, for him to have to listen to Charlie Kirk 24/7/365 would be fitting. LOL

Even his own parents recognized him from the surveillance pictures. When you know someone as intimately as a family member does you can recognize them from just how they walk, stand and move. You don’t even need to see their face.
There are so many people coming up with all of the conspiracy theories that are just stupid. People talking crap about stuff they don’t have a clue about. They just want to get recognized for saying something and then when they are shown up for the fools they are you don’t hear a peep out of them retracting what they said.
The first one was the “It was a ‘Professional’ hit”. I know a little something about shooting, sniping and killing and I knew immediately that all of the idiots coming out in the beginning talking that nonsense we’re full of bovine excrement.

I loved and respected Charlie Kirk as a Christian, as a conservative and as a communicator. He is a man who can never be replaced and I will miss him but I don’t grieve his death as I know he has his reward in heaven and I celebrate his eternal life serving Christ. I grieve for his family and for the millions that he influenced. Other than Jesus himself I know of no other man who influenced so many at such a young age. He was an inspiration and mentor to many.

Much respect for your opinion and your approach. I'm not very political and maybe not as religious as I should be.
I come here for the 'meat talk' as well but I do enjoy/participate when the subjects get away from carnivore-when they interest me. I guess I am a big fan of communication.
For me, the Charlie Kirk post is no different than a post about fasting or electrolytes, working/working a rotating shift schedule, or Super Bowl commercials.
I can be somewhat hypocritical, I enjoy my privacy but am genuinely interested in how/what other people think. Sometimes the topics or the subject matter is just the means to the communication.
Again, much respect for your opinion.
LOL-Your post way back about finding a new pharmacy and then posting a pic of a meat store is probably my favorite since being on the board. I don't think that way but enjoyed the fact you did. I get there was some 'meat reference' there but for me the pharmacy thought process came from left field.
    I enjoy that.

An Insta-pot can work wonders on a tough cut. 3# @ high pressure for about 90 minutes.
I'll sometimes take a thick chuck roast and cut it in half, then salt the heck out of it for several hours, then smoke for a few hours, then flash grill it. Done this several times with only a few duds. I think its the salt and slow smoking that does the trick. I always look for a nicely marbled piece when buying.
Chuck can make good jerky if nothing else

I say that exact thing to my wife every time we leave their parking lot. The U.S. is supposedly one of the highest standards of health care in the world? I cannot agree with that statement. Just look around anytime you are out in the public. We are a country of very sick and unhealthy people. Health care is unaffordable to most of the population here.
Any countries main job should be to protect and care for their population. We do NOT do that in the U.S. at all. We do buy lots of military weapons and of course we have to go back to the frick'n Moon and then on to Mars for some idiotic reason instead of spending some of that money to "protect and care for" our population.
I'm glad I'm as old as I am. Less years left to go than what I've already burnt up.
This week is starting off poorly for myself. Hoping some ribeye later on will brighten up my attitude a little.

FYI: Venting mode ahead. Not in a good mood this morning.
I'm currently in a short fast for a blood draw this afternoon. I've got a yearly health exam today which is a JOKE these days! $500+ for what? A little thumping, a little listening and a few questions from the doc and then you are out the door. What happened in the U.S. to a full physical exam? If these health checks weren't free I wouldn't even waist my time with them.
Where did all the good doctors go?? My neurologist has retired and I'm thinking I may not even search for a new one at this time. My MS is currently pretty stable and advancing very slowly. Her yearly exam charge was over $750 and all she does is have me walk a short distance, touch my finger to my nose and then she pokes me with a sharp stick (which she always calls Mr. Pokey, like I'm a damn 5 year old) to see if I can feel that, BUT she always had some new drug to try if I wanted to, to which I always have said "No Thanks". I don't want cancer (again) or PML.
    U.S. health care is a frick'n joke!
After all that BS I'll be having a big ribeye. Beef is your best medicine!
"Eat your meat and live a long life" is what I say

Yesterday was leftover a left over T-Bone and eggs, four scrambled.
OMAD and the satiety of red meat can be crazy at times. I walked yesterday morning just shy of 3.5 miles with some pushups along the way.
I showered and went to the shop working on two old truck projects (needed them like I needed another hole in my head). I worked pretty much all day between the two and then came in around 6PM. I logged on to the internet, let the TV play and looked for more parts for my two trucks.
At bedtime around 9PM eating had not crossed my mind since earlier that morning. It is 4AM, on the way to the gym and the morning walk, and not the least bit hungry.
20-ish some hours without eating and I'm not hungry, nor have the wheels fell off.
    Crazy.

Actually yes, at the buffet they did have raw oysters. They were just "okay" compared to the oysters I get up here in Ohio at my favorite seafood boil place. The ones at the buffett had the same size shells but much tinier specimens inside them. I just had to compensate by eating more, lol.

I tried "Saving" family and friends from the SAD diet, but no one wanted my help, so now only my wife and I (and our dog) get to reap the benefits of a carnivore diet. Everyone else will need to do their own thing in their own life. The information desk is now closed! If ANYONE would ask for help I would direct them to a few Dr Berry videos and leave it at that.

I went to an all you can eat seafood buffet last night.

I tried to get my money's worth out of them by hitting up the crab legs, shrimps, and ribeyes. I behaved for the most part, but certainly overate, lol.
