  1. really, I always thought blood pressure was like body temperature, like humans don't get to determine what normal is the way they do with cholesterol.
  2. I got three paragraphs in and could not finish...I guess if your LDL is 0 because you are a corpse: you cant get a heart attack that way.
  3. It's academia, they have trained all the professionals to view us a widgets.
  4. Now of course I cant remember what I was searching for...HA HA HA!
  5. Thanks for your suggestions! I seem to have found the solution in the bulleted dots on the far right that indicate more stuff, I was able to adjust the activity to the last 365 days instead of the last 5 days.
  6. Is there a setting to be able to continue to scroll topics. I am trying to find a recent topic that I created to add to it but am having troubles finding it as the timeline seems to be limited.
  7. I want to 2nd the idea of getting rid of the sweet. If you are drinking it in-between meals it is triggering cephalic phases insulin response (Cpir). So it's going to mess with satiety hormones as well as keep your insulin elevated making weight loss a struggle. I would also encourage you to define your "why" for eating this way beyond just weight loss. Otherwise it will be hard to stick to it after you lose the weight.
  8. I use a milk frother, I got it at TJ maxx for $10
  9. Lunch was cold lol leftover ribeye and chicken liver again. Dinner was braised stew meat with sour cream.
  10. @Geezydairy is my last addiction next to YouTube carnivore videos. I think I will nix the dairy when this container of light cream is gone .
  11. I haven't finished this one yet, but I am curious if I know your thoughts on his dental and physical hygiene. https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=C3OGCnsMXtQ
  12. Not sure about science books, but Courtney Luna has a carnivore recipe book coming out. She has a YouTube channel. The carnivore revolution channel puts out a lot of recipe content.
  13. I am feeling a bit sluggish today. Yawning a lot, I feel like I'd like to go take a nap. It could be that I woke up with an alarm today as I was on school break last week and woke up naturally each day, but I the tired feeling hit me as I was drinking my decaf with light cream. Why light cream? because it is next to impossible to find HWC that does not contain sludge. Does dairy make you sleepy? What nasty side effects do you notice with dairy?
  14. I only have liver occasionally. I like to think of a whole tribe sharing an animal. How much liver would each person actually get compared to other meats.
  15. B:shrimp and bacon omelette L: cold chicken liver, cold ribeye leftover. Smoked kippers D:burger patties pickles and coffee Jello
  16. Exactly, and binging on "health" foods like chickpeas is no better than binging on ice cream. It's just plain disordered eating.
  17. That's my mom. She smoked from 9 ish to 21- thank God she quit. My Dad was a closet smoker. I was a closet smoker after my daughter was born. I started in early 1990's and quit in 2008. I also prefer boards/forums to the scrolling type media. This type is based on interaction and scrolling media is really just for transmitting/bragging.
  18. B/L: chicken livers, smoked herring and decaf d: ribeye.
  19. Hi I'm a bit late to this party, but was wondering how you are doing with you carnivore journey?
  20. I tried wfpb in 2017 but was never really happy with the food. My search for answers to vegan problems led me to the anti-vegan algorithms and then into fasting and carnivore. I have been watching from the sidelines and dabbling since 2020. I thought fasting was going to be my answer, but the eat whatever you want in a 5 hour window just wasn't working for me. I began to develop hormonal symptoms and carnivore has alleviated some and reversed some. Also I just feel overall happier.
  21. Hello and welcome to the community! I have attempted carnivore off and on since 2020. This past February I restarted and did as Bart Kay recommends to gradually reduce the SAD foods rather than cold turkey and this time I seem to have hit a good stride. I haven't lost any weight other than post winter holidays fluff, but I feel very encouraged by other things like energy and reduced joint and muscle pain. I am also less bothered by what others think about my plate than I have been in the past. I used let that uncomfortable feeling control my choices. I just love how happy carnivores tend to be and want more of it.
  22. My husband randomly stopped by his parents house and found this exact situation. Mil was cooking sausage in oil
  23. B:Braised Chuck steak. Bacon. L:Short ribs. D:Burger Patty with chicken liver and pickles.
  24. I was at a small luncheon yesterday. I brought my own food. This is my first experience at gathering of this type where I didn't cave into eating "normally." The hostess had put out fixings for sandwiches. I had assembled my double burger patty pickle & bacon sandwich, with hardboiled egg on the side. Hostess asked me if I was sure I didn't want any bread. Yes, but that wasn't enough, she asked if it was the gluten. No. She persisted to peck. So I just blurted out that I was avoiding sugar. I feel like Baby in Dirty Dancing. "I carried a watermelon." She continued a bit more and I just explained that sugar gives me the blues. I did say something about alcoholics not drinking mocktails: seemed to shut her up for a bit, but she did find two more times in the afternoon to sprinkle me with sweet ridicule. It is clear my abstinence made her feel uncomfortable. In retrospect, I regret mildly, not spreading the carnivore good news, but I felt put on the spot and uncomfortable. I just wanted the attention off me in the moment. I just wanted to eat in peace and enjoy conversation that was not centered on my plate. I have had better luck fasting during these things. I think people feel less offended if you just abstain from eating altogether rather than rejecting their food for something else. Have you had any digs a dinner party's? How have you reacted? I know there will be much more of this coming up in the cook out season ahead, this was just a little practice run. Any advice would be appreciated.
  25. I wanted to melt some cheese on some pork rinds. I don't have a functional microwave. I put the pork rinds on a pampered chef stone and placed them under the broiler. They caught fire!
