  1. I still don't have what I call regular BMs. I generally tend to go as often as I eat now, although sometimes I get loose stools and have to go 3-5 times in quick succession. I'm not concerned though.
  2. Priming can help in this regard. If you are deficient in nutrients it can lead to cravings. Avoid trigger foods. Sweet or artificially sweet foods and dairy (butter excepted) can often trigger someone to over-consume. Myself I cannot buy dairy because I can't just have a glass of milk, a piece of cheese or a portion of yoghurt. I will consume the whole package. I've never actually primed myself, aside from some boredom binges. However I've been carnivore long enough that I doubt I am deficient in any nutrients. I am able to do OMAD and even extended 48-90 hour fasts and not feel hungry, even with the crazy amount of walking that I am currently doing. Do not be discouraged. Fasting becomes easier.
  3. I occasionally enjoy hotdogs, either alone fried or cut up as part of a chili or soup. I try to buy all beef hot dogs from Costco.
  4. I still occasionally enjoy mustard, especially coarse old fashioned mustards. Of all the condiments out there, mustard is one of the best for staying keto as well as having a worthwhile flavor as compared to the tomato flavored syrup that is ketchup. I also occasionally enjoy horseradish. Just always be careful and read the ingredients and check the nutritional information before buying anything.
  5. Mr. Banting was quite thorough with that letter. It is impressive. He even features a weight to height chart on page 36 which is surprisingly close to what I see on much more recent charts.
  6. I hope you can kick your sweetener and dairy addictions. I quit all sweeteners for 6 weeks and that managed to put a stop to a 20 year Diet Pepsi addiction I had. What used to be an irresistibly delicious beverage for me turned into a disgusting chemical cocktail. Now I don't crave sweet drinks and enjoy unsweetened, naturally flavored sparkling water. Excellent blood pressure! I am still struggling to get mine down.
  7. Last night I had a treat of bison pepperoni, bison jerky and elk jerky. It was superb. Today and tomorrow I will eat nothing.
  8. I never buy pork or poultry from the supermarket because you never know what those animals are fed and they are monogastric so can't filter out the garbage like ruminant animals do. I also very rarely eat bacon. I do plan on very occasionally buying pork and poultry from local farms where I know what they are generally feeding the animals. Meat from animals fed a proper diet should be fine. Ruminant meat is still king. That and eggs is 95% of what I eat.
  9. Where does the Half & Half come in? Is it added to the mixture before chilling or poured over after?
  10. Greetings everyone! I've been carnivore since June 1, 2023 and during 2023 I managed to lose 100 lbs. I know right?!? But I still have probably 80 more to lose unless I add on a lot of muscle. During 2024 I've found myself stuck on a plateau, still obese. I am just now starting to break this plateau by maintaining a more strict ketovore diet. I eat one meal a day on days that I do eat and that meal usually consists of 5 eggs and 1 lb of ruminant meat. I still enjoy chili so sometimes that meat is done up chili style with appropriate spices, garlic, onion and some tomato paste and I also drink a lot of unsweetened naturally flavored sparkling water so that's why I say my diet is more ketovore. Keep an eye out for my chili recipe! I also practice alternate day fasting and currently my eating pattern is usually 47/1 or 71/1. The waist size is finally starting to decline. For exercise I walk. A lot. I usually go for 2 walks a day and cover over 10 km distance minimum. For example yesterday I walked 23 km. I need to get back into resistance training. I follow all the good doctors on Youtube: Baker, Bikman, Chaffee, Cywes, Kiltz , Mason and Westman to name a few. I hope to see you all more on the path to better health!
