Last night we had our families Christmas dinner and gift exchange. (work schedules). For the last ten years or so we do a 4-6lb prime rib roast. This year my sone knocked it out of the park with the roast. I'm not sure where the notion struck but I ate a small helping of green beans (my all time favorite food) and maybe a spoonful of creamed potatoes. I think it was more of a shocker for the family than for me. It was not like a craving or anything I put any thought into (other than thinking about a sweet potato once per week prior to a heavier/longer workout at the gym). I hadn't made any plans to eat anything other than meat but it sort of just happened. The green beans tasted just like I remember (really awesome) and the cream potatoes were pretty good too. I am not sure if I didn't eat enough or I didn't work out hard enough/long enough but I don't think I really seen any difference with my energy level during this morning's workout. I will see how the rest of the day goes but I got thru a longer leg workout without any lack of energy and didn't really feel any out of the ordinary burst. Unless something else drastically changes today I am not seeing the benefit of the carbs in regards to lifting. Again, maybe I didn't eat enough or go hard enough, but today was like any other day while eating carnivore. I had gone from May 8th, 2024, til last night without a vegetable or fruit or anything along those lines and I guess that streak/stretch is over. I don't this gets me kicked out of the club, maybe some probation or something, but I still think I'm on the carnivore path. Scott
