3rd day Carnivore

I just heard about Carnivore 4 days ago. I have macular degeneration and a friend sent me videos by Dr. Ken Berry and Dr. Chris Knobbe, who say that the Carnivore diet can help and even cure people with early MD. I'm hoping to learn more about eating this diet. I have learned I need to stick to meat and lots of fat, and to stay away from Sugar, White flour, Vegetable oils, and trans fats.

Welcome to Carnivore Talk Wendyand.

To get a full understanding of what it is to eat a carnivore lifestyle I would suggest you get the book by Dr. Shawn Baker “The Carnivore Diet”. It will tell you all you need to know to get started. It’s really a very simple way of eating that has some tremendous healing abilities. You just eat fatty meat, preferably ruminate meats, eggs if you tolerate them and drink water. Everything else is eliminated.

Some of us jump right in a deal with a few side effects and others transition slowly.

If you have any questions don’t hesitate to ask. We are here to help and support you.

I liked Dr. Baker's book.

YouTube can be an excellent source as well.

Dr. Chaffee. Dr. Berry. Dr. Hampton. Dr. Baker. All have great content and offer up advice on just about any carnivore scenario.

Over time you can take all their advice, make some slight changes here and there and dial it to what works best for you.

It is well worth the efforts.

Thanks I'll look at Dr. Baker's book - although I'm trying not to buy any books because I have so many and not enough room to keep them. Does he have a website?

Check his videos out on youtube. Just about anything you want to know about eating carnivore can be found there.

The first real impact I had was I didn't realize how much salt I was eating prior to the switch and when I switched, I didn't replace the salts I was no longer consuming. It took me a couple aha! aha! moments to figure it out.

After a few weeks of eating this way I started doing some research and pretty much what I did was go to youtube and enter Carnivore+________________ (and you can fill in the blank about whatever subject you'd like and just about every time there is already a video out there.

Look at the side of this page. Bob and Geezy do a Monday night round table discussion. This past Monday was about 'advice to people new to carnivore' not the exact title but similar.

Good luck.

Scott
