Let's say that you normally ate 2500 calories a day, amd then all of a sudden you cut that down to 1500 calories a day. You see the weight just coming right off when you do that, but all of a sudden the weight loss stops and now you hit a plateau. You're not losing any weight but you're still eating 1500 calories a day. This is because your body went into conservation mode when it caught on to what you are doing. So what you can do is gradually increase your calories again. The next day eat 1550, then 1600, then 1650, then 1700, and so on until you work your way back up to 2000. Then stay there for a few days, and then take it back down to 1500 again. Now your body thinks there is more resources coming in. We talked about the carnivore lifestyle, or carnivore way of eating. I try to be careful how I use the word diet, because I don't like the word. I don't want to infer that this is something that we are just going to do temporarily. I constantly call it a lifestyle. Yes, it's a diet in that it is a way of eating, but it's a permanent diet.
