  1. I do believe I misunderstood. I honestly wouldn't be too overly concerned about only eating OMAD most days. You might find adding a snack of just pure fat will help increase calories without the stimulus from the carbohydrate. What you're experiencing does make sense and seems to be a good hack for someone that have difficulty with food volume. I too share that experience and have a high fat coffee in the morning with a beef isolate to help me. Liquid meals are digested so much faster, so it's easier to add volume that way.
  2. Meat is definitely more satiating than carbohydrates, especially if its nutrient-dense and higher in fat. I believe you're experiencing a few things... protein shakes are fist of all liquid (obviously), so you're not chewing. Digestion starts in the mouth, so it's being digested a lot faster because it's liquid (same with the wine you mentioned). Protein shakes are also very lean protein sources that will leave your body seeking more fat, and by extension, more food. It hijacks your body's satiety signal. Same can be said for the aforementioned potato and dessert... the body is looking for nutrients that you're not giving it... it will ask for more. But a big fatty steak is just what it wants almost exclusively... so when you eat that only, the body responds and turns off the hunger signal. My advice? If your goal is the be able to gain weight, dairy is a great way to do that. Protein shakes might be okay, but I would stay away from what you're using now and use a high-quality grass-fed whey or beef isolate (Equip). I had weight loss surgery and when I get to the point I can't get any more nutrition in, but need more for a specific goal, I will leverage the protein powder. Honestly though, just add more fat to your diet and that will give you more caloric-value from your food. Hope this all made sense!

  5. I appreciate the information. I do drink Zevia periodically, but that's the only stevia I consume. I only use monk fruit and allulose and actively avoid erythritol when I can. I've never had any issues with any of the NNS (natural or otherwise). Sent from my SM-S928U using Tapatalk

  12. I ride a 2015 Can-Am Spyder F3-S (white). I've owned 5 Spyders since 2008 (first year). I love them! Lost my original 2008 last year to fire (blue). The red one is my husband's. I did learn to ride on two-wheelers and had a couple of cruisers and a Ninja 250. Sent from my SM-S928U using Tapatalk

  16. Scott, yeah... I use mine when I make my chuck roasts to add a little extra in when I eat it. Don't even really notice it.
  17. I also did make the LMNT DIY recipe and not a huge fan either. I've been on carnivore for over 6 months now, and I've been able to back off a lot on the electrolytes. I now only have about 1.5 servings per day and use magnesium lotion on my legs at night. Seems to be working well. I hope to be able to back off more eventually. Sent from my SM-S928U using Tapatalk
  18. It's tricky for sure! I get the pan nice and hot and spread the whites thin. That usually works.
  19. Over-medium crispy whites and runny yolks. Cooked in tallow or bacon fat. Sent from my SM-S928U using Tapatalk

  22. Medium rare leaning towards rare usually. Depends on the cut, though. Sent from my SM-S928U using Tapatalk
  23. Yum!! I need to find that.
  24. No, no issues with that.
  25. This way of life feels like a fountain of youth! I sometimes have more energy than I know what to do with. My strength in powerlifting has dropped off a bit, but I attributed that to less frequency of training and possibly a small amount of muscle loss.
  26. I love using allulose. It works for me too.
  27. I wish I could say yes. I call myself a drink whore. That means I want to have a beverage most of the day. Morning starts as coffee, then sparkling water and electrolytes during the day, and the occasional Zevia soda or Vitamin Water Zero (both stevia/monk fruit sweetened). None of these drinks bother me, so I've kept them in. I don't deal with any sugar cravings either, but it's easy for me since I have up sugar many many years ago and know it will kill me (almost quite lierally). I don't drink alcohol, but don't rule out never having any every again. Sent from my SM-S928U using Tapatalk
