  1. Under the Proper Human Diet bell curve i am out on the tail of very zero carb. 33 plus years of diabetes, but my metabolic health is better than it has been in a long time. So many 'health issues' so well resolved. I thank all of those in the carnivore community. From the kind, the helpful, and even the rude. I have learned from all. I see myself most likely forever ZERO Carb. I feel renewed with fresh strength and courage yo continue my health journey. I am trying a few different/ new things (no, I not adding a single Carb). It is a n=1, but i not discussing it until I can quantify the results. I have discussed some aspects of what I am doing with a few individuals. Their input was some positive, and so negative. No problem. I just dug deeper and gained more knowledge. However, my Continuous Glucose Monitor (CGM) is providing positive insights. So to all the people out there on the Proper Human Diet, be well, enjoy the Season, and prosper on your journey. In Latin, Salvaterra comes from SALVAtion and TERRA. Meaning Save the Land. In the Carnivore Lifestyle it means: sabe you metabolic health. Welcome to my story and be well.
  2. Beef is NoT expensive at all. Is not the price per pound. Many kinds of beef are about the cost of many cereals. Say 6 dollars a pound. STOP. Consider the nutrition in the beef. You can not buy enough cereal. To match it. 11 large eggs, about $ 2.75 = 1 pound of 85/15 ground beef pretty close in nutrition, it double the nutritional value of beef on a per dollar basis. You have to think about it properly,!
  3. Yes. Another zero carb day in the book. 7 day BGL is 113 mg/dL. Lantus insulin dose @ 46 units. No fast acting insulin used in llast 24 hours.
  4. Quit? Who? Not me said Paul, Bob, tom ,dick, Harry tim, jum. Da l e, Roger, Mark, Peter, Tony, Steve, Preston. Robert Joe, Bill. Guy, dominick, Lewis, Matt, bret. Dave, z sorry finhrr is tired noe
  5. I continue, trying to maintain and improve my important metabolic markers. I continue a close to Zero carb carnivore diet. No one is going to influence me to consume any carbs. I now ignore those carb pushers as they say they feel better. I really do not care how many carbs they are eating or how often. Like who eats one fowe French fry? Often I see an influencers dedicated supporters defending them. Sorry, I understand different people have different carb tolerances. As a diabetic mine is as close to zero as I can make it. Enough said. My future is a ZERO carb carnivore life. Just is where I am.
  6. Is cranking out Glucose, so my CGM tells me. Wish I had a dial to turn it down. I could let it go but so wand my Blood Glucose Level to stay in range. So maybe a few units of fast a acting insulin. Or, some exogenous ketones? I not like either. Going to try exercise, got to get my living quarters set up so I can exercise indoors. Just trying.
  7. Need a new phone, and i use a CGM. To avoid any issues i think I will get new phone when current sensor expires. Just to be safe. Not sure about doing it in the middle of a sensors life. Anyhow, it is time.
  8. So currently having more days with no need for any fast acting insulin ! Nice. So still eating as close as one can to zero carbs. I plan for 2026 to be a year of daily eating zero carbbs. Targeting my blood glucose between 70 tp 130 mg/dL. Hoping to average at 100. Going to take some doing but I am ready. I not sure what is fully ahead for me in 2026, but this plan comes first. So looki out to anyone in the medical community, do not mess with me. I fully understand, I may never be fully off the need for some insulin, but let's see how far 1 year of zero carb eattinh and increased exercise might reduce the need for insulin.
  9. Been on a journey to better health for 4 1/2 years. Much has changed. Finally I am consistent in my eating. Many issues are gone. My diet is mostly BBBE. Like 95+ percent. I do need to loose 25 pounds of fat. So that is an issue. And I need to maintain my Blood Glucose Level (BGL) between 70 - 130 mh/dL, with the BBBE diet and insulin. Unfortunately, when using insulin the weight control becomes a challenge. So I am increasing exercise. Not many other options. I appear to be be more T1D than T2DM. Soon will check C-peptide and some enzymes to better define my diabetes. My focus for 2026 is along those lines. I eat once a day. Going to be a ling slow year in 2026. I have tried many things to get to where I am at. I know there is no magic. My mind is open.
  10. Being carnivore for 4+ years, as I read i could hear the other side using thus to point out the dangers of a carnivore diet. Oh well. I remember raising my kids, a family that was in our church was vegan. They talked about it at every opportunity and to me seemed to enjoy the attention. The whole family was pencil, stick thin. Many thought they were so 'healthy'. Any how, I know this my kids and now my grandkids, all do not float in water (pool) which means they atr on the lean side, muscle and bones. My grandkids are very active, athletic and fit. They are rather serious about Traditional Irish Dance, in competition they medal regularly. They have lots of human powered wheeled things like skates, scooters, and bikes. Where they live the recreation department holds running races by age group every other Sunday afternoon. They mostly win. My daughter restricts excessive carbs.
  11. I understand, only fasting (water only) is truely Zero carb. Eating BBBE and coffee is generally referred to as Zero carb. Is how i eat 98% of the time. When it comes to dairy, only butter for me. Just about everything else shiw a blood Glucose rise on my CGM. And yes I do respond in many ways as a T1D. To me butter is a cooking fat. Just have I w it is for me.
  12. Got that, done it much if my life.
  13. Got an eye exam, ordered glasses. Total bill was like $ 1100. I paid about 250. Insurance covered far more than I expected. So 10 to 14 days and I hope to see better.
  14. Like it or not each of us for the most part are on our own. Our health journey is self directed. No government, no doctor, no anything. I personally sort through you tube and Google. Sorting out what I need the best I can. My objectives in the first quarter of 2026 are: 1. Continue to eat as low carb as possible. 2. Increase my exercise level. 3. Test my C-peptide and enzyme level to. see where my T2DM is at. 4. Somehow trim 1 pound a week off. 5. Continue to improve my metabolic health. Not sure exactly here. I am not in a bad place, just need to be more optimal.
  15. I can not verify this, but I am suspicious in how the algorithm handles the data in deciding wgat data to ignore
  16. Abbott laboratories make the Libre 2 and 3 CGM's. The recorded the blood glucose level every 5 minutes. On September 30th they were discontinued, replaced by the 2 Plus and 3 Plus. These newer models record the blood glucose level every 60 seconds. The reading is sent via blue tooth to my phone app. Sometimes my display graph of my blood Glucose Level looks like a zig zag sewing machine stitch. The app 'smooths' out the graph. But it makes me wonder a bit.
  17. I can't help here. I do recall , I think, dr berry has discussed this in a short video. Search utube , dr berry uric acid
  18. Ty for posting this. I watched some of it. It not making a lot of sense. But again ty
  19. Looks to me like a real profit center. PCSK9 drugs are considered to be a boozooka in the battle against heart disease. In discussions I have looked at Statins are a pea shooter by comparison. In my opinion the studies are as convoluted as any statin study. I am somewhat surprised the side effects are similar to that of statins. This class of drugs are injections. My PCP has already dropped hints this is for me. It seems to be more about we must fear LDL. When I get this recommended it will just be no. I am, thank God, allergic to statins. I figure be similar for this. Eric westman has a video coming on December 3 covering this. Seems to be a good video. Not me says Paul.
  20. It is satisfying, keeps me out of carbs trouble
  21. Ty for reply. Yeah old data not mean much. But my new data is somehow accessing the old for some reports. Any how is fine. I know I eating extremely low carb. Eventually Abbott will improve the CGM consistency. It is just a guide right now
