  2. Uh oh. I used stevia in my tea each morning. Never caused me any issues. I've tried switching to allulose, but I end up having explosive diarrhea about an hour later.
  3. At someone's wedding reception I might have some fruit but still won't violate my vows to never eat grains or refined sugar (which translates into nothing from the sweets table). The one exception is my anniversary. We usually splurge at an expensive restaurant, and at those prices you better believe I am eating the whole meal, lol.
  4. My fridge doors still have all that crap because of the other family members. Many of them is some sauce they bought to "try" and after using it once it just sits in there until we take note that it is well past it's expiration date, lol.
  5. That's a pretty neat useful tool.

  9. Here's mine showing off her impressive mental state, lol...
  10. This is accurate. "Avidin blocks the digestion of biotin, one of the B vitamins. The trypsin inhibitors make digestion of the protein in the egg white more difficult. Both of these anti-nutrients are neutralized by cooking." The Healthy Home EconomistAre Raw Egg Whites Healthy and Safe to Eat?Why eating raw egg whites is not a healthy practice even if from fertilized eggs although fresh yolks are safe and digestible to consume.
  11. I still drink artificially sweetened beverages also. They don't have any impact on me. I do see it as a crutch in that I would ideally like to get off them, but at the same time I enjoy them.
  12. The reason Saladino "asks for" the Bart Kay treatment is because he maintains that carbs are essential and even recommends a rather high amount of carbohydrates now. Bart Kay will never cease reminding people that "the exact requirement for carbohydrate in a human diet is not one gram, ever!". We know Bart is correct, and have plenty of examples to prove it (Mikhaila Peterson, Rick in Miami, Maggie in Canada, and the myriads of people eating an exclusive carnivore diet for XXXX days in a row, etc, and they are doing just fine). If Paul would acknowledge that, he would get a lot less flack from the carnivore community. Most of anything else he says is correct.
  13. I ordered allulose from Amazon and tried putting it my morning tea and it sends me running for the toilet about an hour later. But then I've used it on my homemade ice cream and seemed just fine. Very strange. I used to be a pot per day drinker, but quit in 2019. It turns out that coffee was the reason I suffered from ulcerative colitis for over 10 years. When I got off the bean my symptoms vanished and I no longer needed prescription drugs to manage them.
  14. Paul got unfair treatment. That grey haired woman was an obnoxious pig. Very rude.
  15. I need to amp up my exercise and movement routines. I think I want to buy a weighted vest or ruck sack. This way I can put the 60 pounds I lost back on and walk with it again.
  16. Welcome aboard Dan! We're here to help. You can go back to keto and then transition gradually to carnivore from there. Or you can jump in head first. There may be some jiggery-pokery with the adaptation symptoms for the first few weeks but they shall pass. Basically, eat fatty red meat (with low carb veg if you choose keto) until you are comfortably full. Enjoy 3 meals a day (or 2 larger meals a day) and avoid snacking. Don't restrict calories. Aim for 1g of fat (or more) for every 1g of protein. If you opt for keto, don't fall for Big Food's fake keto products. There are no such things as keto bread, keto tortillas, keto cookies, keto protein bars, etc. If a package at the store says "keto" on it, it's probably not really keto, lol. Avoid grains, refined sugars, and seed oils - the unholy trinity ;)
  17. I think I've seen this before, under the pretense of "I asked ChatGPT if you were the devil and wanted to keep an entire nation sick, what would you do?" and everything that follows is the response from the AI. @Geezy won't mind you sharing it.
  18. Yes, if a person is sensitive to eggs, it is usually the whites they are sensitive to. We will recommend they try seperating the yolks from the whites and try eating just the yolks. Sometimes the sensitivity is to what the chickens are fed (soy, grain, etc), and you could try pasture raised eggs that are locally sourced, like from your neighbor across town.
  19. Yesterday we threw a graduation party for my son, and we had about 100 people in attendance whom we fed. We had a meat and cheese tray. ✔️ We had baked chicken ✔️ We had an italian baked chicken (it was lemon and herb and absolutely delicious) ✔️ We had a fruit tray. (passable) We also had a salad bowl. (less passable due to ranch dressing). I partook of the above. We also served... Mac n Cheese. 👎 Rigatoni. 👎 Pizza. 👎 Cupcakes, cookies, and a cake. 👎 I did not partake of those.
  20. Welcome aboard @JDM :) Could you clarify that statement for me. I am not sure which way I should read it. Do you mean... 1) "I'm aiming for 30% protein and finding it difficult to consume more protein"? 2) "I'm finding that I am eating around 30% protein, but I would like to get that back down to 20% protein"? If you are trying to increase protein, then you can strategically add in leaner meats, such as chicken and seafood, and/or reduce the fat you cook or garnish with. If you are trying to decrease protein, and in turn increase fat, then you can rely more on fatty cuts of meat and make generous use of animal fats (or alternatively olive oil, avocado oil, and coconut oil which are not seed oils). Basically, you will want to gradually be filling your plate with more fatty meat and less low carb veggies until you are 100% carnivore. But remember that ketovore and keto are also on the proper human diet spectrum. Unless you are intentionally wanting to do carnivore as an elimination diet to try and determine if a certain plant or family of plants is causing you health issues, there is no harm in "cheating" with keto here and there when you feel like it.

  24. Welcome aboard @Laurie Scharfenkamp and thank you for your kind words of encouragement for @1ino ❤️
  25. You've only been carnivore for 9 months. The factors that led to your heart attack have been accumulating over a lifetime. Your recent switch to a carnivore diet simply cannot take the blame here. There is some connection between saturated fat intake and LDL. You could make use of olive oil and avocado oil. While not technically "carnivore", these oils are not seed oils and are generally accepted by the keto-carnivore community.
