  1. I haven't used my treadmill yet. I think I need to. I was running with my dog at the park and my legs just felt super heavy. Hopefully I am just out of practice. I don't run much these days.
  2. 1) White bread? 2) Chocolate? 3) EGGS! I had eggs this morning for breakfast. Beef bologna with pepper jack cheese in an Egg Life wrap for lunch, and probably 20oz of NY Strip for dinner. I might comment on my lack of variety once in a while, but truthfully I am quote content eating eggs and beef 95% of the time.
  3. Carnivore is a fanatical right-wing, male diet, right? The media shoehorns carnivore into a culture-war narrative, far from the truth. NINA TEICHOLZ MAY 17, 2024 To read the stories on carnivore is to learn that the diet is the domain of toxic right-wing, muscle-obsessed men, aligned with “hustle and gym bro culture.” A typical introduction to meat-eating in these articles might be an image of a cowboy or grill-happy dude in a red state where “[S]erving beef at your cookout is as a patriotic as buying a gun” (New Yorker, 2019). Carnivores who eat mostly meat, we’re told, come “tauntingly close to…toxic, alpha-male culture (Bon Appetit); they’re “stoking a rising wave of toxic masculinity online” (Rolling Stone) and represent a “stomach-churning embrace of [the] hypermasculine” (The New Republic). Veins bulging out of their oversized arms, carnivore men who would have previously been “outcast[s], living on the fringes of society” can now use social media to inflict themselves on our attention, causing us to be “pulveris[z]ed by the worst cunts alive” (Vice). This florid, dehumanizing language is, shockingly, the norm. Journalists have worked themselves into a frenzy of hyperbolic descriptions, which is alarming given that—can we agree?—discussions on food and health should not, as a starting point, be heavily politicized. People select what they eat often for health reasons, and as we’ll see, the choice of meat is no different. {MORE} --------------------------- The above is just a snippet. 4. In the elementary years, I think it's good to expose children to the various arts. This way we can see if any of them might resonate with students. I personally loved my art and music classes and elected to take them in later years. Mandatory? Like you need so many art credits in order to graduate? No, this should not be the case.
  5. Sorry it took so long to approve this post. I was at work today, and then afterwards I was recording and editing in a video. When you say bloating, are you talking about gas, or a swollen stomach? Your diet should not be producing any gas. You could try eliminating the eggs. They can be a food sensitivity for certain individuals. It's rare, but you can acquire sensitivities later in life. You might want to make an appointment with a doctor to check for any possible medical condition. Constipation, irritable syndrome, heart failure and kidney issues, as well as fluctuating hormones during menstruation can cause bloating.
  6. If it's histamine intolerance, that combination should bring notable improvements. In the meantime, you can focus on... Fresh meat (cooled, frozen, or fresh) Chicken (cooled, frozen, or fresh) Bison Beef (only if unaged and not ground) Chicken breast, boneless Duck Eggs Goose Lamb Ostrich Pork (only if unaged and not ground) Alligator
  7. Sausage and eggs this morning. I've prepared and frozen two more batches of ice cream to use in my Ninja Creami later today.
  8. It's slightly more nutritious but since you eat some liver on the side it's a non-issue for you. Those multi-chamber ruminant stomachs prevent toxins from the grains from getting into their flesh. I don't go out of my way to get grass fed, although Sam's Club sells 85/15 grass fed burger at a reasonable price so I do get those to eat a few days a week.
  9. I haven't in my case. I am not an avid exerciser and I still take blood pressure meds. What is your current resting heart rate? Is it still under 100? I've heard that a heart beats better when burning ketones vs glucose. A lot of people will lay down to go to sleep and hear their heart beat and get worried. My heartbeat is definitely more noticeable when lying down to go to sleep than it was previously, but it's nothing of any concern.
  10. That's awesome. I too have (or had) ulcerative colitis and am also medication free at the moment. Sounds like you have the "keto rash", For many people, they hang in there and it will go away. It could be happening for various reasons, and we just have to narrow down the cause. 1) Histamine intolerance -> You may have trouble breaking down histamines. This can be a problem with aged beef. Those with a histamine intolerance need to purchase the freshest meat possible. Like, get to know your local butcher/rancher and get your meat from something just slaughtered. Much of the meat we get from the store has already aged several weeks. You could also try a variety by adding eggs, chicken, pork, seafood, etc to your diet. 2) Nutrional deficiencies -> not very likely with ribeyes and livers, however, you could round it out with some other animals like mentioned above, or with eggs, etc. 3) Detox/Oxalate Dumping -> If you previously has an oxylate rich diet, you may be dumping oxylate crystals that you were previously hoarding. I think if it was histamine intolerance, you would have had this issue early on. Regarding the loose stools, the general guideline is to back off the fat. If you eat too much fat and your gall bladder doesn't have enough bile on hand to help digest it, the excess will pass through you. But, from personal experience, when I added back cheese things thickened up for me, which actually runs counter to that advice. There seems to be a balance between too much and too little fat. Let us know how it goes. Welcome aboard!
  11. This is true. Organ meats are nutritional powerhouses. Liver is often cited as being "natures multivitamin". I've heard you can overdo it. For example, too much liver can result in vitamin A toxicity or copper toxicity, but I think you have to be eating a lot of it all the time. And it depends on what animal also. Beef and chicken livers are fine in moderation, but a Polar Bear liver could kill you with just one meal. But I am glad to hear that you are doing so well with your carnivore eating choices.
  12. So this was actually a fantastic listen. Yes indeed, Big Food and Big Pharma are looking out for their interests, not yours.
  13. Eggs and precooked Jimmy Dean sausage patties for breakfast. They're just so tasty and convenient, lol. For dinner I had a "pizza bowl" from a local pizza place. The wife didn't want ground beef again and she was buying, lol. It was all meat and cheese besides the pizza sauce.
  14. I haven't seen the movie. But, we still have a complete set of non-stick cookware (from Ninja) that we use on the daily. Lately though, I have been thinking about my cookware more than ever before.
  15. I'll have to give this one a listen while I am on the road today.
  16. I will say you are eating more raw meat and organs than anyone I know, I think. Is this common in your culture? Or does this just happen to be what you personally find enjoyable?
  17. That is awesome! I'm hoping for the same this summer from my gastroenterologist. He said he will declare me "cured" if things are still looking good. I'm 5 years no meds.
  18. I had to go scrounging through my wife's and my brother's Facebook accounts. I don't take many photos of myself because I am the one behind the camera taking the pictures. I had to use the S Pen on my Galaxy Phone to take the recent pics of myself. Thank you for your kind review and for subscribing I fixed it. For some reason all your text was a hyperlink back to this site.
  19. Thanks Geoff. You know what's funny, is that I have my main account subscribed to my Carnivore Talk channel. I was watching YouTube on the livingroom television the other day, scrolling through my recommendations, and suddenly one of my thumbnails was on the screen and my kids are like "You're doing videos again?" lol
  20. I got a Ninja Creami Deluxe a few days ago and gave it a test run. I used heavy cream, egg yolks, and a little raw honey. I didn't have any allulose or anything artificial to use. I use vanilla extract in one batch and strawberry extract in the other. The vanilla batch turned out fine. The strawberry batch didn't taste like strawberry, but rather like honey, which is not a great ice cream flavor, lol. But the family seemed to like it because they had most of it, lol.
