  1. The thing I noticed about adding regular coffee is that my muscles in my thighs ache. They feel tight and sore for no reason. I used to be oversensitive to light pressure and would perceive it as painful, but that has gone away for me since switching to decaf.
  2. One 1/4# burger patty. Some American cheese. Plus two breakfast sausage pucks. That was lunch. Dinner was 3 1/4 pounders with American cheese, Dill pickle relish, stone ground Dijon. Garden cukes. And because I was dishing it out...
  3. Hey we are similar, I had been dabbling mostly just consuming the carnivore content on YouTube since about 2018. But I finally got my act together in February this past year. My wagon has been a bit bumpy this past month, but I am doing my best to hold on and not fall off entirely.
  4. Honestly, it tastes better without the stevia. That stuff makes me twitch.
  5. Hey, Jarrod, sorry to hear you are having a rough go at it. Have you considered transitioning slowly like Professor Bart Kay recommends? I am wondering if soaking the feet in Epsom salts in the evening would help. What do you eat in a day currently? What does your sleep hygiene currently look like?
  6. I understood the Molon labe, but didn't know about the TX flag. I like it. I was in TX for 50seconds in 1992 when my brother got married. He married a military brat and that is where they were all living at the time.
  7. I hate to admit, because I love my dairy, but when I did eliminate it for a few weeks, I felt much better mentally, with both clarity and zest for life. I should consider discontinuing it again.
  8. Such refreshing news. I wonder what it would be like to do a hike like that fasting. It certainly would be liberating to not have to worry about the food.
  9. Your story is similar to Eddie Geoke. Kerry from homestead how just interviewed him and he has a book out.
  10. So true, Dr Cywes talks about "bridge" drinks or activities to fill the moments that you would have previously filled with carbs trying to search for dopamine hit.

  12. Today I fasted until 3pm. I had a chomp and some bite sized chuck browned in butter. Bacon and more pan seared chuck for dinner. Decaf with half& half. I may have dipped the bacon in some sour cream & onion dip.
  13. One scoop of unflavored Re-lyte in hot water. Black coffee/decaf or plain tea. "Clean fasting" is easier. Cephalic phase insulin response can drop your blood sugar and make you feel ravenous.
  14. Scrambled eggs are quick, melt butter, pour in beaten eggs on medium heat, done. I buy Jones precooked sausage patties, they are thin and heat up on skillet quickly. Lately I have been buying chuck roasts and disecting them like Laura Spath showed in a video. I get two chuck eyes out of it and I chunk up the rest and brown in butter. It doesn't take long if you cut it in bite size pieces. So when I get hungry I just melt butter in cast iron and throw the chunks in to brown the outside. I just got some chomp beef sticks at Wally world today. They taste like slim Jim's did back in the eighties. Minus the spiciness.
  15. 1 mile on the track. 1 100m sprint 1 lawn mowed At the track there was someone receiving some personal type of training. The trainer was in terrible shape. I wondered if he is eating a lot of plants and avoiding red meat to try to maintain his figure. The dude had a huge belly and cankles. I don't mean to sound rude, but I wanted ask him where he gets off trying to instruct physical fitness given his current state. The client probably just liked being told what to do so he didn't have to think about it, I get that, but I have a problem paying for services when the provider clearly doesn't have their $#;! together. I would feel like I was getting ripped.
  16. Yes you will benefit just from removing plants especially the plant fats/oils. Each level of change will create a greater benefit. But like Dr Ken Berry often says, eat the meat you can afford.
  17. I have tried most at the grocery store. Most have a negligible amount of sugar. I prefer the North country smokehouse bacon. But the market basket generic is a close second.
  18. I just received one for my birthday, but am scared to use it. Something about leaving a roast in the water for 18 hours. I should try a steak, but so far the 2 hours for that doesn't line up with my work schedule. It's method of cooking meat sealed in a bag in a bath of water at lower temp. You are supposed to sear the meat when it is done. It can be done in a crock pot or instant pot or you can buy a souvide appliance, that is looks like a stick blender, but it just a heat element with temp and timer control.
