What Did You Eat Today?
ol_hilly replied to Geezy's topic in Carnivore, Meat-based Keto, & Ketovore Support
Oh yeah, I had a sausage patty and two eggs for a late lunch today. Then was over at neighbors to furnish a till or their garden plot and they fixed burgers and brats on his pellet grill. And they tried cooking eggs in the shell on the smoker. He succeeded. Tasted like a hard boiled egg but alil smokey.- 1,369 replies

I dunno. I like reading about when different foods first became known about. I've never had watercress, but would suspect it would taste about the same.- 1,369 replies

🤔 What Are Your Thoughts On Grounding? 🤔
ol_hilly replied to Carnivore Club's topic in General Health and Wellness Discussion
My young neighbors asked me to help them with their garden this year. I told em up front I ain't doin no weeding. Just plan on mulching around everything. I didn't care i they mowed between the rows. But I ain't weeding. And from the looks of their past garden plots, neither did they. -

I guess I'm a Ketovore today. Cousin went with me to the doctor's office and on our way back he decided he would fix hamburger. So we stopped by the butcher shop a got a couple pounds. His wife knows (sorta) that I've on some sorta diet. Fixed a salad. So I had some lettuce and bouta half dozen green olives. Told her I hadn't had a salad this year and I couldn't remember when the last time was. So I had 3 burgers with some blue cheese. I don't feel like I did too bad. Had an egg with butter when I got home to up my fat intake. Tomorrow, I'l be back to being a carnivore.- 1,369 replies

🤔 What Are Your Thoughts On Grounding? 🤔
ol_hilly replied to Carnivore Club's topic in General Health and Wellness Discussion
Geezy, I'm sure you've heard as well as I from folks that garden. How much better they feel when they get some "dirt time" in. They all perty much say they feel so much better after sinking their hands and/or feet in the dirt. I spect it's kinda the same deal . On a side note. The Earth is electric. And all them Coronal mass ejections we been getting from the sun are charged particles. I spose it's gotta go somewhere. -

had a pound of ground and four eggs. And since I was thinking about paffles, I just happened to have some smushed pork rinds from another project some time ago. So I added some to the eggs and beat it. Then added some more as it was cooking to soak up the grease. Not bad... I may havta try a paffle pancake one of these days. Gotta try this Pork Panco sometime.- 1,369 replies

Carnivore For Life, Despite Complications [Video/Podcast]
ol_hilly replied to Bob's topic in Articles & Resources
Here in the rural areas, fast talkers are usually salesmen or someone from not around here. I think you did just fine. But that's just me. You do whatever you want. I sometimes think the faster pace on youtube comes from lots of editing. Either to cut out the mistakes and/or to make it fit a certain timeline.- 15 replies

What Did You Eat Today?
ol_hilly replied to Geezy's topic in Carnivore, Meat-based Keto, & Ketovore Support
Yesterday I had about a small half pound ribeye and three eggs for lunch at work. wasn't hungry for supper. Tonight I had a 12 oz strip and four eggs. Work seems to think I need to eat lunch or I will surely starve to death. Tomorrow I plan on taking my lunch by going to the second hand store and shopping for some 36 inch waist pants. I think I'm about ready to downsize again. And maybe find a long lost chaffle maker...- 1,369 replies

I looked up Wally world online and saw they had one in stock at the store I'm closest to. And found one of them double irons. Put both on my wish lists. My local Wally world is 20ish miles away. I've been there three times this year. I don't venture out as far as I used to. But may make a trip soon as I heal up a bit. I watched vids last night on paffles and chaffles and such. ... I'll be getting one of them soon.- 1,369 replies

Just some musings I had today.
ol_hilly replied to Geezy's topic in Everyday Chit Chat & Off-topic Discussion
I gave up cigars about twelve years ago. My cat thought I was purring at night and I had to stop to catch my breath just walking up the boat ramp. Still to this day I get the urge every time I watch an old Clint Eastwood western. I do dip some. A can lasts a week, I spect. I buy the tubs and it's sposta be equal to twelve cans. Lasts me a good three months. I had a cold/flu/etc back about seven weeks ago. I went caffeine and nicotine free for about a week. I'm still caffeine free. Which kinda sucks cause I got about two pounds of coffee beans. I figure I'll give up the dip one of these days, when the time seems right. -

Pulled pork with butter. Again. At work there was a glitch of sorts with the smoked meats. I got to bring home four pans of pulled pork. Think I'm gonna freeze the last pan, cuz I'm missing beef.- 1,369 replies

What's fer supper!
ol_hilly replied to ol_hilly's topic in Everyday Chit Chat & Off-topic Discussion
At the time I didn't know we had any here in Mo either. Till this gal came on board. Seems camels have quite a bit of history here in the states. I bet Geezy has camels in Texas. -

Did you know there's such a thing as a camel dairy? Used to be a gal on my forum that owned one and listed all the things it was good for. I came across it the other night and had forgot about it. -
