  1. Smoked venison and cheese wraps. Sent from my iPhone using Tapatalk
  2. Sugar is the biggest and worse addiction in America. It’s so bad because most people don’t even know they are addicted. I drink only water and bone broth and I don’t miss any of those other drinks. Sent from my iPhone using Tapatalk
  3. The “ick” phase also known as the keto flu. Lasted in different degrees for me for about 30 days. It’s pretty normal to stop feeling hungry as we progress in this way of eating because what we eat is so satiating. Just make sure you are eating plenty of fat to keep that energy level up. 4. When preparing a piece of meat I like to salt it and then let it dry brine in the fridge overnight. It really helps the meat to absorb the salt. Sent from my iPhone using Tapatalk
  5. When I went OMAD it wasn’t a conscious decision it just came natural. A couple of months into my new lifestyle I realized that I was eating by the clock but I wasn’t hungry when I ate. The seemed silly to me so I figured that eating when I was hungry made more sense. That ended up being just once a day. The time that I would eat verified. On the average I would get hungry between 11:00 am and 1:00 pm. Sometimes it may be around 3:00 pm or even 6:00 pm. The key was just to eat when I was truly hungry. One thing I noticed that there were times when I would get hungry but I’d be too busy to eat but it was easy to ignore and just wait until later when it was more convenient to eat. There have even been times when I just forgot to eat and ended up going on a long term fast. Now with all of that being said I must say that I’m retired so I have more flexibility that most. If I was still working and only OMAD I believe I would just eat when I got home in the evening. Sent from my iPhone using Tapatalk
  6. I make my own using venison and I coat it in panko pork rinds for a breading and fry it in tallow. I also make a gravy that is 99% carnivore that goes well with it. Sent from my iPhone using Tapatalk
  7. Very well said. [emoji106] Sent from my iPhone using Tapatalk
  8. Welcome Steve. You are definitely on the right track to improve your health. You have the right perspective coming into this to heal. I have been carnivore for over 510 days now and in that time my blood pressure has normalized and my cardiologist has taken me off all of my medications. I am pill free for the first time in 6 years. I hope you experience the same results I have. Good luck. Sent from my iPhone using Tapatalk
  9. Yes this was heartbreaking to see. Jeff fought so hard yet gave back so much. He is truly an inspiration to me and many others. He is a very courageous man who never gave up and showed the medical community what one can accomplish when they take charge of their own health. May God bless Jeff and welcome him to the Lords table. Sent from my iPhone using Tapatalk

  11. Three smoked venison burgers today. I’ve got a lamb quarter thawing as we speak. I’ll be smoking that in the near future. Sent from my iPhone using Tapatalk

  13. Drive out those evil spirits and bless the entryway with blood to keep them away. Sent from my iPhone using Tapatalk
  14. I completely agree. We were half owners of a small herd of bison several years ago. We kept our freezers full for awhile. Never got tired of it. We’ve been thinking of buying a couple to raise for slaughter again. Sent from my iPhone using Tapatalk
  15. Finished off the pork butt I smoked a couple of days ago. Sent from my iPhone using Tapatalk
  16. Yes sir it catches up with all of us in time. That why we see more older people eating carnivore to heal all of the years of abuse. It’s done some miraculous things for me. When I started 511 days ago I was a 66 year old man who felt 86 but now I’m 68 and feel like I’m 48. I knew I’d get old someday but I thought it would take longer. Sent from my iPhone using Tapatalk
  17. Glad you could join us. Welcome. It doesn’t matter how long you’ve been carnivorous you will always be learning if you wish to grow. I am now at 510 days and I study nutrition every day and learn something new just about every day. It’s a great journey. Sent from my iPhone using Tapatalk
  18. I was just watching an interview with Dr. Shawn Baker yesterday and he was asked the question about grass finished vs grain finished and he said that yes, in analyzing the meats there is a nutritional difference but it is slight but when analyzing the people side by side who ate the different beef they could find no nutritional difference in the health of the subjects. Something I’d like to emphasize is that too many people say “grain fed” and that’s not an accurate term to use. All cattle are raised on pasture or silage. It is only the last three months or so that they may be put on a grain diet. Sent from my iPhone using Tapatalk

  20. I don’t drink milk but just because I don’t see the need to but I do make yogurt and ice cream. If I come across some raw milk I’d like to try making some yogurt out of it. I did no strength training when I was losing weight and I lost no muscle that I could measure or feel. I lost 60 pounds in one year. I did walk for exercise in the beginning when I was able to walk again but during the winter I stopped. I did use some resistance bands on occasion but in reality I did very little exercise but then again, exercise doesn’t provide weight loss. Sent from my iPhone using Tapatalk
  21. I am taking a D-3 with MK-7. 5000 IU/180 mcg. I’ll be having my biannual physical soon so I’ll be looking to see if that high a dose has been doing anything detrimental. Sent from my iPhone using Tapatalk
  22. I started the day with a couple of “sizzle steaks”? My wife picked these up in at the store. They are very thin sliced sirloin. I just pan fried them in some bacon grease and let me tell you what, they are now my new favorite breakfast with eggs. I liked them better than I do bacon. Later on I smoked a chuck roast but forgot a picture of it but I did get a picture of the ribeyes and venison burgers I smoked. That’s the first time I tried smoking venison burgers and I thought they came out very good. Really retained some moisture. Sent from my iPhone using Tapatalk
  23. While most of us are very familiar with what’s being presented here it should be required watching for those just thinking about carnivore or just beginning. Sent from my iPhone using Tapatalk
