  1. Being in Wisconsin puts a crimp on outside stuff for me until about this time of year. The daily walks of a few miles have started up again and now we are just waiting for the heat of summer to arrive. My wife and I both love the heat, which is about a 3 month period between Memorial day and Labor day, LOL. I always sit for several hours directly in the morning sun and being a carnivore I do NOT sunburn at all. I just get a nice tan. It amazing because on a SAD diet I would burn within an hour in the direct sun.
  2. Sous vide is a great way to a perfect steak. I use an old cooler and a hot water recirculatory that came out of a laboratory setting. I vacuum seal the steak along with some salt, butter and bacon grease and then let them go for 8-24 hours at 120'F, after that I put them on a super hot grill for just a few minutes per side. sometimes I even hit them with the propane torch just to char up the fat a little. Cooking this way is a bit of extra work but the results are great tasting.
  3. Hello to all my fellow carnivores out there. Yesterday I saw Geezy on Dave Mac's YouTube channel and when he mentioned this group I knew I had to join up and so I did. I've been carnivore for almost 4 years now. My wife followed me on this journey a few months after I started. We both find carnivore to be a GREAT way of getting our nutrition. I will eat this way for the rest of my life. So many benefits that after this long I forgot some of them. I actually made up a list yesterday and as I remember old aches and pains that are pretty much gone now I then put them on the list of benefits. I'm 64 and I have MS (DX in 2017) and have had 2 rounds of kidney stones (PAINFUL), one stone had to be surgically removed and while they were doing the procedure they found a grade 1 bladder cancer which they scraped out. After all that I knew I had to find a diet for all the things I had going on in my life. I tried several different MS diets which did not seem to help. Then one day I ran across Dr Berry on YouTube and I jumped right in cold turkey and have not looked back and never will. I recently had my 5 year bladder scan and no reoccurrence of the bladder cancer was seen and the doctor said no more bladder scans are needed for me. My MS symptoms are greatly reduced. I usually eat OMAD but a few days a month I do 2 meals per day in a 4 or 5 hour window. I also do extended fasting of 36-72 hours. There again I go by how I feel. Extended fasting for me is kind of magical. The energy I get on days 2 and 3 are crazy high. just recently I made the commitment to do extended fasting once per week. We will see how that goes. I usually start my fasts on Sundays after a 5pm meal, and then just go as long as I can.
  4. Right now I'm at hour 52 on my current fast. I'm trying for 72 hours, which will be no problem. I really tested myself today by cooking bacon for my wife and I smoked and then slow cooked a corned beef. I had no sample of either. I love day 2 because of all the energy I have.
