90 days today!
Terry replied to Outdoorstom's topic in Carnivore, Ketovore, Keto, & Low-Carb Support
While digging in the freezer today I found a bag of frozen veggies from many years ago. Those are now at the bottom of our compost pit -
poll What is your favorite way to eat/prepare eggs?
Terry replied to Bob's topic in Carnivore, Ketovore, Keto, & Low-Carb Support
My mom would make those for me as a kid. She called them "eggs in a frame". This was in the 1960's and the bread was some type of Wonder bread or something equally as bad. -

When making scrambled eggs I like to prepare them "Gordan Ramsey" style. I don't care for the person but I do like the way he make his scrambled eggs . I didn't see pickled eggs on the choices. I do like to make those also and I usually keep a jar of those in the fridge. Very handy to have on hand for a quick meal. -

What Did You Eat Today?
Terry replied to Geezy's topic in Carnivore, Ketovore, Keto, & Low-Carb Support
I've been drinking decaf coffee for years already. To me it was something I just enjoyed consuming. I quit it because of what it does to my bladder reactions. Can't even go for a walk unless I know where all the bushes are to pee behind . When I don't have it, then things are just fine. My wife still is drinking it, so I can still enjoy the smell of it in the morning.- 1,637 replies

Congratulations on the weight loss so far. Carnivore gets easier as you go, at least that is what I found. I still have the rare keto treat, but not very often and never anything worse than a keto level. -

Roast beef, salt and water for my OMAD. I'm going to start doing more "lion diet" days, starting today! Also calling it quits on coffee starting today. Such big changes, I know- 1,637 replies

What Did You Eat Today?
Terry replied to Geezy's topic in Carnivore, Ketovore, Keto, & Low-Carb Support
Today I tossed another chuck roast in the slow cooker. Italian style this time around. We had bacon and summer sausage for our early nutrition this morning. Split the last piece of Niesha's cornbread with the wife. I also ate a tangerine, But don't hold that against me, Thanks . If I get time I want to make a batch of ghee yet today also. Our local Walmart had a pack of thin ribeyes on clearance and I made this using them. I didn't even pound them thinner. Just fried it up in some bacon grease. Wonderful taste and there were no leftovers.

anyone ever eat a "raw" egg shell?
Terry replied to ketomonster's topic in Keto, Carnivore, & Animal-Based Recipes
Our dog gets a big dose of ground up eggshells in every batch of her homemade food. I found I can't grind them fine enough for human consumption even using a Vitamix. I added some to a bowl of ground beef once and it was TOO crunchy while eating -
started another fast today
Terry replied to Scott F.'s topic in General Health and Wellness Discussion
Congratulations Peter, You found the magic answer to most of life's health problems. I bet your energy level was good during the fast also? I'm fasting every week now from 24 -72 hours or more. It helps the food and toilet paper bills also -

You won't hurt yourself with fasting. When you are truly hungry, you will eat again. I just ended a 60 hour this morning, only because i had meat and sausage in the fridge that was at its expo date. I was feeling great and could have went 2 more days for sure. I'm doing extended fasts every week now, Meatless Monday kind of thing or whenever I feel like it. After eggs, bacon and sausage this morning went for a walk with our dog and my energy was way above my normal level. -
I really enjoy this way of eating and have no plans of changing. I wish more people would use it for the benefits it gives, but then our stores may run out of meat . I hope your friend can give it a go. It sure helps me. Nothing so far will cure the MS, but then you have to do whatever you can to feel your best. Good luck to him!

Just a thought, Before you go to the "Meatfest" party you may want to have something light like a hard boiled egg to get your guts primed and ready to go back into action -

I like when the wife and I go food shopping now and we read labels on all the crap we used to buy. I check carbs first and then ingredients. Just about EVERYTHING seems to have canola oil listed in the first few ingredients. When I purged our kitchen of all the bad stuff I used our old canola oil to light our fire pit -

Sounds like it's going good so far for you. You'll know when it time to call it quits with fasting. When i first started Carnivore I was so pumped up that I was telling everyone they should try it and QUICKLY learned that people don't give a s##t about their own health and it's not my job to take care of them, so I just say nothing now. It's very hard sometimes when you know someone who you know could benefit form Carni but they don't want to hear it. We were at a family event recently and I was shocked at all the people there that are on statins and they were discussing HDL, LDL and things with their health, all with incorrect info. I just said there and said nothing. My tongue was ready to jump out of my mouth, LOL. If you would mention fasting they just look at you like you are crazy, so I now just keep that as MY secret weapon for health. -

I drink water, Black decaf coffee (trying to quit all coffee), Herbal teas and maybe a flavored seltzer if we have any in the house. I will sometimes add a powdered collagen supp to the coffee. -
I saw it at our local library and I always check the publish date trying to get the latest info. This one is pretty much "spot on" as to our lifestyle.

I worked in a silk screen printing plant for 30 years and was around a LOT of nasty chemicals everyday. That may be what gave me the bladder cancer. Who knows. As far as the MS, thats the biggest mystery in my life. I'd love to know the source of causing it. Well either way I got it and Carnivore helps it for sure. Nothing provable but you just know when you know.

I always say fasting is like magic. I normally sleep 8-9 hours but when in a fasted state 6 hours sleep is about all I need and then it's time to wakey-wakey. I would agree on the mental clarity also. if let's say I lose 5 lbs on a fast I will put back on 3 maybe 4 lbs over the next several days, But that is still a win. On the one I just ended I'm going to try for a bigger gain this time by really watching food intake. It would be so cool to lose 5 or 6 lbs and then keep that off forever -
Cast Iron Pan VS Stainless Steel Pan
Terry replied to Bob's topic in Everyday Chit Chat & Off-topic Discussion
I'd get the dehydrator first. Homemade jerky is fantastic, and then you know what's in it also. if your oven goes low enough you can make jerky in that also. Sous Vide is fun but a bit of prep work and then the waiting for it to "cook". The newest Ninja cooker does sous vide and airfry Frm what I've seen. No idea what is costs though.- 36 replies

That is a great movie. I've seen it many times. Wish they made movies like that yet.

Why Keto & Carnivore?
