What Did You Eat Today?
I don't know if I'd eat suet in the raw state but, I started off with 6+ lbs of suet and slowly cooked it down over several hours. I poured the liquid tallow into a silicone cupcake pan and then froze it solid. I ended up with lots of tallow "hockey pucks" which I use for pan frying of eggs and other items. I also cut off chunks and just eat that in the morning while I'm feeding the dog. She gets a good sized chunk of tallow in her homemade food also. Sometimes saved bacon grease replaces the tallow. It is an acquired texture to eat but I now like it. I eat it for a little extra energy to start the day. The dog will pull those chunks out first before anything else in her bowl. What was left in the kettle after rendering was connective tissue and collagen. I continued cooking that down slowly until it browned up nicely and then poured it all out on a piece of parchment paper and then placed that in the freezer to solidify. What I got was some crunchy chunks kind of like a snack cracker along with what I would call chunky dust that I saved to sprinkle on eggs or to use as a healthy zero carb breading or something like that. The whole experiment was a huge success with no waste and very affordable besides. The price of commercially made Tallow in the store is INSANE. Next trip to the meat market I'm picking up a load of beef bones for homemade bone broth. That's also a big win price and taste wise. Being a carny has really opened my mind and taste buds to things I never thought I would consume. I think eating tallow is slightly better for the body than eating some butter, But what do I know. I'm not a doctor - Oh wait, my doctor doesn't know ANYTHING about nutrition! 🤣

Leftover ribeye from yesterday's grill session. We both ate early, around 10:30 am, so OMAD may not happen today. I'll be consuming a 1/2 cup L-reuteri yogurt for sure. I was reading some pubmed pages last night about the positive effects of L-reuteri yogurt and intermittent fasting on MS. I'm always searching for my "personal cure for MS"

anyone ever eat a "raw" egg shell?
I've seen on Youtube if you crack your eggs with the back of a knife instead of the bowl edge, that is supposed to help make a clean break in the shell. I have never tried it though, so ...........

My uncle and an old boss of mine both would (and still) suffer from gout to the point that they could not even walk and would say to never eat shrimp because it causes gout. After educating myself with a few Dr Berry videos, I now just 🤣 to myself whenever I hear that or some other crazy ideas floating around out in the ozone. I had what a doctor called gout once about 50 years ago when I was a teenager and they gave me some kind of a pill to take. That time in my life was an extremely high carb intake period. Doughnuts, several bottles of coke per day, candy of any type, Etc, Etc...... We were all there at one time in our lives, but NO MORE for this fellow. Always trying to stay as close to zero carbs as I can. I do fall off the carny wagon a few times per year but then jump right up, dust myself off and get back to the business of eating meat! Whenever I do fall off the wagon it seems to motivate me to try even harder to stay on course. I will not beat myself up when it happens. That's just life!- I recently found a new pharmacy near me
on my last yearly exam with my Neurologist for my MS, I informed her that I was not going to be continuing with the Copaxone injections I have been taking for the last several years. She said "that's fine, but have you considered taking Ampyra to help with your walking?". I told her that I was not interested in using ANY more medications. It's like are just trading one drug for another. I feel just by her comments alone that she is truly interested in my health and does not want to see me trip and hurt myself, but these drugs come with too many risks and side effects for me to be comfortable taking them. I'm sure she has to comply with her clinics "Standard of care" and has no choice in the madder. We have NEVER once discussed diet or anything about what I consume for nutrition! SO SAD! Next year is going to be medicare for me which will probably be even worse. I'm dreading it already and it's 11 months away.- SPAM... in a can. Not the kind in your inbox

That sounds like the "shrimp causes gout" myth- SPAM... in a can. Not the kind in your inbox
It tastes the same as always, by which I mean "great" and it comes in several different flavors now. I still like the original one the best. good and salty! I have found SPAM to be a food that you either love it or hate it. I like to cut it into french fry sticks about 1/2" square, dip it in an egg wash, roll it in crushed pork rinds ands then fry it in tallow or bacon grease. Now there my friend you are talkin' Good Eats!- Far ahead of his time.

More novelty than anything. They just tasted like a regular brat with no noticeable sweetness. Now the wood fired pizza flavor brat is another story. That one will be bought again on our next trip over their way. I'm also going try making those myself next time pork shoulder goes on sale. The natural casing weiners they make are very good also. They have that "snap" when you eat from the casings. So much taste adventure being a carnivore. I've never gotten that out of a spinach salad. All that ever gave me was kidney stones.- Far ahead of his time.
Pizza day from my school memories really is a standout. It's permanently burned into my brain. It was so tasty! If i could accurately reproduce it I would just to eat a slice (or 3), just for the memories 🤣- Far ahead of his time.
Also be glad your not a student in any public school in the U.S. eating what "they" call lunch. not sure what other countries do for school lunches but the U.S. has always been horrible for my 64 years. I remember in 1976, in high school for a morning snack before class you could buy toasted Crappy white bread for 5 cents a slice and a scoop of peanut butter for 25 cents or fried little doughnuts for 25 cents. We would buy stacks of toast and mounds of doughnuts every day, and who can forget the sheet pan pizzas or mock chicken legs they would serve? but I guess if you included sliced peaches or some fruit cocktail and a brownie then that was a balanced lunch 🤣🤣🤣- For you coffee drinkers out there.
If I'm not feeling like a cup of coffee then I'll go to herbal tea. Drinking "a plant" does not bother me at all. I am not that hard core of a carnivore at this point in my life. Regular coffee will make me twitchy for about 18-24 hours or even more and that effect started about 20 years ago. When I was eating lunch one day I noticed I could hardly keep my food on my fork because of hand shaking. I went to decaf the following morning and have rarely had regular coffee since that day. My sister had it even worse than that. one coke would wipe her out completely.- Far ahead of his time.
Bob, Bob, Bob - Wake up. it's time for school. you must have been dreaming? 😂 In the U.S. you need to be your own doctor for anything you can handle yourself. Now if you break your leg or need surgery, well then you are in their hands. Hopefully you won't have to spend a night in the hospital and eat their crappy nutrition!- For you coffee drinkers out there.
I drink De-Caf coffee because I like the taste and it's a morning ritual also. All it does is make me pee 😂- For you coffee drinkers out there.
I agree with you. Too in depth and way too sensationalized. "do this or you may die" kind of thing.- good video-Carnivore/MS
I used to follow her but stopped because I felt she became quite wishy-washy with her early videos. I will check her out again tonight and see where she is at on her journey lately. Maybe time to resubscribe to her channel? hopefully she's not gone on to selling "A health program", AG-1 or LMNT. I hate when influencers go that route. The lure of the dollars sucks them in.- I recently found a new pharmacy near me
We returned to this place today and picked up some more brats and some of their natural casing weiners. I grabbed the gummy bear brats just to say I tried them. I would think they will have to be an interesting taste. I'll be grilling them tomorrow. The wife and I were both "BAD Carnivores" today 🤣 - On the way home we stopped at The Hamburger Haus in Dundee, Wis. and we each had a double cheeseburger, split an order of fried cheese curds and 2 scoops of ice cream. We fell off the carnivore wagon and then got run over by it. Oh well, so be it. We will start over in the morning. I'm sure it won't be the last time 🤣. luckily we live about 20 miles away from this place and don't get that way too often. A big double cheeseburger for $5.50 can't be beat and it comes on a sheboygan hard roll (Famous in S.E Wis - if you know, you know kind of thing). It's been a nice day all around.- What Did You Eat Today?

Vinegar and salt seems to be the main components being consumed with these "cures". Just take one or both however you can. My wife and I both likes pickles so we keep a jar of the brine in the fridge. I've used pickled eggs and pickled ginger slices with the same effect of reducing RLS.- 2 Year "Carniversary" Q&A with Bob, Geezy, and maybe YOU! [Video/Podcast]
I loved the live stream last night. Unfortunately I only caught the last 15 minutes. I never checked my emails yesterday and just happen to run across it in my YouTube notifications. It makes a nice couple of hours when combined with Dr Berry beforehand for an hour. I'll be tuning in next week for sure.
