Lol, it is Paul. Got hungry, ate a pack of pork chops cooked in bacon fat. CGM is now up to 75. I will take it. No big rise from eating the pork. Makes me think, what do the vegans think about the food guide now. No pun intended, but their world is rather upside down.

The thin chuck meat is usually cooked in an iron skillet.
Sometimes on the grill and sometimes on the smoker.
A few weeks ago I ground up some with some beef fat and made some chuck burger (probably between 60/40 and 70/30 as I don't weigh the two parts. I go by color.

I think that is Kerry Mann's cut of choice also. How do you usually prepare it?

Yesterday I had sausage patties and cheese around noon. And for dinner it was 4 lamb steaks (the kind with the t-shaped bone in them) which did not fill me up so I added a wrap with Egg Life Wraps, beef bologna, and pepper jack cheese.

Been on straight red meat since the beginning of December and it has mostly been versions of chuck meat.
I have been hitting the grocery store early on Monday morning and buying up all the red meat I can that has been reduced for quick sale.
My wife is not the biggest fan but it hasn't killed me. Saves a few dollars and keeps me on the 'red meat kick' which started around the first of December and will stretch til February.
I have labs schedule mid-Feb and I am sort of self-experimenting again/still dialing in.

I imagine that they are either....
    1) Vehemently angry, wanting to "peacefully protest" by smashing or breaking things. These are the mentally-diseased political snots. Or...
    2) Understand the concept of "eat real food" and will simply find plant-based alternatives to their protein and "dairy".

Bob, I did for almost a year, because I just couldn't figure out what to make nor how to make it and no, I haven't been ill. My labs are good, my iron was 500, so my doctor told me to lay off the red meats for a minute and I did, it could be my meds. I am not that one that can just create something delicious, I have been searching for recipes, and the ones that I made so far was tolerable but not that great. I am getting back on track, and I need some help on recipes that are tolerable.
Thanks for looking out for me my brother.

Question, food and I aren't getting along at present, nothing tastes right, any suggestions, broth has become my friend, I can tolerate that.

Since posting the original post, I'm now getting a slew of ads from Meat Shipping Companies. Most of them I've never heard of but at the moment I'm narrowing them down to US Wellness Meats and Meatworks. Maybe Butcher Block too, but more research needed on them. Still searching for reviews on them and their companies. I not only want clean and good quality meats, chicken, seafood, etc., but good customer service and good pricing. I have a great grocery store in my tiny town in the middle of nowhere, Indiana, but lately their ribeyes are stringy, grissley, and tough for some reason. Their chicken, even the rotisserie chicken has odd texture and strange taste and tough. Usually the rotisserie chicken could be cut with a fork! Anyhow, the search continues!!!

Though he may not have been there, Bob is not that far from the "Bearded Butchers". They are local to Ohio and have a YouTube Chanel where you can check them out.
I have never ordered from them and can't speak for their prices compared to what is available where you live. It does not look like they are any more expensive than other mail order meat companies.
From what I can tell, they have a decent variety of meats and bacon. They make their own bacon.
I did see this on their website - it may give you an idea of what they offer

Welcome aboard @Nichole - you will likely be fine. Most people can eat all sorts of eggs, from store-branded white eggs to pasture-raised brown eggs.
A factory farm egg from chickens that were fed soy will contain a higher amount of omega-6 fatty acid. The Omega-3 and nutritional profile of a pasture-raised egg is better, but that doesn't make the common egg "bad", per se.
If you're doing a carnivore-centric diet to lose weight and you don't think you have food sensitivities, go ahead and keep eating them.
If you are doing it to try and reverse it appreciate chronic conditions, then at some point in the future you may want to try switching to pasture-raised eggs, eliminating the egg whites, OR eliminating the eggs altogether.
    I hope that made sense

Coffee and 1 pack of instant grits, I know but I was able to get it down. Ok, I don't possess a grill so can someone give me or tell me how to cook my ribeye, tender but not raw and not burnt.

    TIA

I've definitely lost my ability to eat temps that I used to. I still like them, but they don't like me.

Aldi lets me try cuts we don't have locally. The little store I part time at still has $3.49 lb bacon. And their burger just went up to $4.50. I got a bone in ham yesterday for $1.49 lb. I don't usually need to go anywhere else.

I felt like shaking things up tonight, lol. So I had my own chicken fajitas, using Egg Life wraps, with sour cream, Carolina reaper & ghost pepper shredded cheese, with bacon. It was pretty tasty.... and pretty toasty hot too, lol

Hello everyone, I really haven't been eating well at all, I just don't have an appetite. I ate a taco last night and I believe that I was food poisoned, my tummy is not to happy. Food just don't taste right to me, I have some homemade chicken soup in the freezer and I am going to try and sip on it tonight.

Celebrating 4 years today as a carnivore with these ribeye beauties.
I put them on the smoker frozen and then let the smoke do it's magic for 3 or 4 hours. Then flash grill them at 475' to 500' for just a few minutes per side. Done this trick several times now and always get a nice rare center. I just used (lots of) salt for seasoning.
It's going to be a happy OMAD for today 🥩

My appetite or maybe a better term would be hunger is completely gone being a carnivore, and I love that. Food also tastes so much better now. OMAD is the usual thing for both my wife and myself. I hope you can discover what is up with your situation, because a carnivore diet can be really amazing in what it can do for a person. Good luck

    Hello everyone,
Just want to start off by saying sorry for the long post, but this issue that came up is concerning me.
I am relatively new to the carnivore diet, maybe close to 2 months in, and when I initially started with the first month the diet was working well. Inflammation in some of my joints were reduced, concentrating was easier digestion seems smoother, and energy was up. Now that I am in the later part of the 2nd month, it seems that some negative things are popping up that I didn't have before.
My diet since doing carnivore consists of fatty beef, chicken occasionally, eggs, bacon, salmon, beef liver, and fatty pork. I mainly focus on beef and eggs but include the other foods to try to maintain the electrolytes. I do also want to note that the first month, though, I didn't eat beef liver or salmon. I use Pink Himalayan Salt and Kerry Gold Butter on the vast majority of food and I always pour the meat grease onto the food after it is cooked from the air fryer. Finally, I only drink water. No caffeine in the diet.
Some of the issues that I am having now are:
    1) My legs, especially the calf area, will feel kind of sore, but not actually be sore. As in there is a feeling of slight soreness, but if you touch the calves no additional pain occurs. I have not had any leg cramps, though I feel that is coming soon. In addition, when I walk up just one flight of stairs, pain in my legs and quads seems to be very, very noticeable.
    2) I always have this sort of fluttering feeling in my heart. It doesn't seem like my heart is beating any faster. It might beat louder sometimes, but the majority of the time I think it is just fluttering. It doesn't seem like it is skipping any beats neither.
    3) Inflammation seems to have increased. It is not as bad as before I started the diet, and there are still times when it is really reduced, but it doesn't seem to stay consistently reduced.
    4) Dizziness is not really prevalent, but sometimes it feels like when I am in certain light too long (mainly at work) slight dizziness does occur. In addition, when I get up from sitting too long, I do get slightly dizzy.
    5) When I go to bed, my mouth starts getting dry. When this first started, I would wake up with very bad case of cotton mouth. Now, it seems like within a few minutes of laying down, the dryness starts. I also wake up at least once a night, though, that is something that was happening prior to carnivore, but I think it is happening now due to the dry mouth.
All of this I believe should be a result of an electrolyte imbalance, at least from what I have read, but I am having a hard time trying to counter this. I would prefer not to take supplements since I am trying to use the diet and diet alone to get all my nutrients in. I do have a LMNT (no flavor) on hand in case emergencies happen, but would prefer to figure this out through eating, no supplementation. I added the beef liver and salmon to help balance the electrolytes (eating each about twice per week), but I really don't see any glaring differences. I am not eating liver or salmon daily due to not having a high fat content, especially the liver (which I actually think the liver is making it hard to go number 2, though I am not constipated). Finally, I am starting to put the Pink Salt in water when I wake up and maybe an hour before I go to bed. Not sure, but I think this is preventing the cotton mouth from going full force.
Any additional food suggestions that you can give to try to counter act what I think is an electrolyte imbalance? Is supplementation the only thing that can work?
Also, (not related to the topic) I am very curious if it was possible to find someone near where I live who is more of a veteran in doing the carnivore diet to show me the ropes. I have been doing this on my own, but I don't think I will be able to figure everything out on my own, so it would be nice if there was some sort of website or something along those lines where I can find somewhere near me that can guide me better with this diet and make it more personal.
Thank you in advanced and sorry again for the long post.
