  1. Also, I take a lot of digestive enzymes
  2. Has anyone here done the Protein Sparing Modified Fast, Carnivore version? It's a low fat Keto or Carnivore used for quick weight loss. Maria and Craig Emmerich do this. When I first started out on the journey to this way of eating, I was eating very low fat, and lost a lot of weight, and was down to 100 lbs. I have been stuck at 122-123 for over a year. I know we need fat for many important functions, but maybe cycling in and out of this would help. Any ideas are appreciated. Also, I don't believe I'm properly digesting fat, due to my liver cirrhosis. The cirrhosis is not from fatty liver, and all of my liver labs and ultrasound s which I have every 6 months, are perfect.
  3. I 5 oz mozzarella cheese, plain Greek yogurt, burger patty with cheese, flanken beef rib
  4. Sorry, Meathead, you must have misunderstood my comment. Geezy explained the dangers of soy consumption in a very thorough and accurate manner. I was simply pointing out that we may also be ingesting it by proxy, when we eat mono gastric animals, ie pigs and chickens, since they don't have the ability to detoxify like ruminants do. Soy is inflammatory! I do know Natto contains K2, but you can also get K2 from cheese. I am sure the dangers outweigh the benefits of anything made from soy. Perhaps you could find a Carnivore food to replace that. Have you tried whole milk plain kefir?
  5. Chuck eye steak with butter, burger with mozzarella, plain whole milk Greek yogurt
  6. Geezy: What about the soy and corn that some Carnivores consume indirectly, by consuming the animals that were fed those things? I, personally, cannot eat pork, or poultry, without an inflammatory reaction. Even organic are usually fed those things.
  7. Good one, Susyn!
  8. They are literally "PRACTICING" medicine!
  9. A few bites avocado, ground beef with fresh ginger mixed in, small piece of chuck eye steak with butter, and a few dry roasted cashews
  10. I definitely believe the entire system is corrupt, but many who are in it don't realize it.
  11. Congrats on your progress, Scott! Amazing stuff!
  12. Welcome to the community! Sounds yummy!
  13. I am also trying a local whole milk mozzarella. I was using a part skim, which is more processed. The whole milk one is working better.
  14. Today I had 11 dry roasted cashews, mozzarella cheese, a burger patty with cheese, and a tiny piece of chuck steak. I'm trying out a local A2 plain whole milk kefir and yogurt, to see if I can tolerate them better, than the regular organic Greek yogurt I've been using. Had some more mushrooms yesterday, and some celery, and realized I don't miss eating plants. Disturbed my sleep. I think it's the toxins in them, that do something weird to my brain. Animal foods are clean.
  15. My ex and I used to buy chuck 7 bone and chuck blade steaks all the time at Safeway in Anchorage. Now I don't see them anywhere. I don't go to Safeway, so maybe they still sell them there. They are so good. You used to be able to buy many bone in cuts, but now most of it is boneless. The bone adds a lot of flavor. As a child, I always loved the fat, especially crispy, the marrow, and the bones, and still do. That's where the flavor is. My family then, and the family I have left now, are mostly too occupied with their own meals to care about my plate. Which is fine, since I don't eat much of the food they offer. All of my family members have always been great cooks.
  16. Went off plan slightly today at my sister's for BBQ prime rib. Had a couple of bites of baked potato with butter, about 4 green beans, and a few mushroom pieces. The prime rib was the best! I've removed nuts again, and added back small amounts of mozzarella cheese, and full fat plain Greek yogurt. I need to cut back on food amounts to break this weight loss stall, as well as do more fasting.
  17. I am allergic to pork, and poultry is inflammatory for me. Beef is king!
  18. I had to quit dairy. Was causing scalp sores, tons of mucus, and sinus issues, constipation, increased neck pain. Have added back a bit of cashew butter. Today had a bit of that, and ground beef and a bit of chuck steak.
  19. Sounds like you're on the right track, The Hamburglar! There is a lot of info out there, but it all comes together as time goes on, and becomes much simpler. Congrats on your progress so far!!
  20. Welcome, Boss Man! You seem like you are a very determined guy! Even when confined, you found a way to manage, and work on your health!! I'm sure you will do just fine, now, being able to eat real meat, and animal foods.
  21. Thank you, Geezy. And I must say, this group has helped my motivation a lot, in just a short time!
