  1. I am smiling from ear to ear trying to keep from laughing my ass off at the stupidity and narrow minded response from putting my cardiologist on notice. Me>cardiologist Hello. I have given you 3 links to studies/information that Dr. Xxxxx should read to reconsider his stance on our discussion in his office on Sept. 11 2024 . I will not entertain nor acknowledge responses from anyone other than Dr. Xxxx concerning this. https://pubmed.ncbi.nlm.nih.gov/25672965/ https://pubmed.ncbi.nlm.nih.gov/35938780/ https://pubmed.ncbi.nlm.nih.gov/32773573/ I hope to hear from Dr. Xxxxf before the end of October 2024 regarding this. Thank you Mr. Xxxx Cardiologist >me It'll take some time to respond, Mr. Xxxx. I don't have open access to these articles. The lead author seems on a mission to prove his point. I think it's confirmation bias to only look for articles that support your point. But I have been reading studies, placebo controlled trials, not observational studies. I am a cardiologist full time, not a part time investigative psychologist who isn't a physician or cardiologist that has never treated people since the age of 18. Twenty years later, I will never ever change my stance that LDL is a huge component of atherogenesis and plaque formation. I would look because you're my patient and I want to respect your viewpoint. But know that the psychologist writing these papers does not treat people. If you want to trust a plumber to repair your Ferrari, that is a choice you can make, but you also might want a certified Ferrari technician who has been doing it for a couple decades and has serviced literally tens of thousands of Ferraris over the plumber who read a couple of magazines about Ferraris.
  2. Wife cooked me some salmon tonight was super tasty.
  3. Starting off right since wife said no eggs until I heal from surgery. 1.25lb or 750grams 80/20 burgers
  4. Maybe try goats milk instead of cows milk?
  5. Thanks brother. Pain is manageable but putting fuel in and exhaust is plugged has me concerned 😅
  6. I've used under 40 lbs of pellets for smoking 28 hrs, grilling steaks octopus and burgers tastes better than propane. Since it heats up fast, I don't empty hopper cooking every day. The electric is minimal. Empty hopper is a 30 minute preheat.
  7. Ty update in my 10 week carnivore thread.
  8. Hi and welcome aboard. Your question and background is VERY vague. With the information provided it's difficult to think about answering. More detailed information provided the easier to get an answer. From googling..... Mucus in stool can occur due to a number of possible reasons, including: Normal amount A small amount of mucus in stool is normal and helps keep the colon lubricated. Intestinal infection A large amount of mucus in stool, especially when accompanied by diarrhea, could be a sign of an intestinal infection. Infections can be caused by bacteria, viruses, or parasites, and can lead to other symptoms like fever, vomiting, and abdominal pain. Food intolerance or allergy Food sensitivities can cause inflammation in the gastrointestinal tract, which can lead to excess mucus. Dehydration Dehydration can cause excess mucus in stool, but it usually goes away on its own. Irritable bowel syndrome (IBS) This functional gastrointestinal disorder can cause changes in bowel habits and mucus in stool. Crohn's disease or ulcerative colitis These inflammatory bowel diseases can cause mucus in stool, and bloody mucus or mucus with abdominal pain may be a sign of a more serious condition. Colon cancer A noticeable increase in mucus in stool, especially if accompanied by other symptoms, could be a sign of bowel cancer. If you're concerned about the amount of mucus in your stool, or if you're experiencing other symptoms, you should consult your doctor. Hope this helps.
  9. Well today's surgery went well and unfortunately forced to take pain medication and antibiotics via IV. I did learn they have to manage pain even though you're unconscious as they're on 2 different spectrum of each other. Regardless hospital staff were a breath of fresh air especially @ 5 am. Pain meds from hospital wearing off and pain is a bit annoying like when your insides gurgling before you have explosive diarrhea. Once I heal up I'm going back to flat stomach.
  10. Hello and welcome aboard. I compare your statement to giving heroin addict Narcan so they can keep doing heroin. You're on the right path starting carnivore. 1. Electrolytes = Redmond real salt,Himalayan salt or Celtic sea salt mixed with your water daily. 2. Fatty meats as fat is where you get most of your energy. 3. Eat until you don't want to put more food into your body. 4. Keep plenty of meats yes even hotdogs, spam something you can snack on just in case. 5. Rinse and repeat. Don't worry so much about supplements or anything until you have blood work done (thorough).
  11. Just getting ready for my 16 oz ribeye.
  12. Exactly, but remember what works for you or myself may not work for others. Some of us are fortunate enough to have the willpower, mindset others may need support but it doesn't make us better or them weaker. We all have to support one another and help each other with our short comings.
  13. 4 am 6 eggs and 4 strips of bacon. 3pm 3 1/3 lb 80/20 burgers 16 oz ribeye for supper. Tomorrow's surgery.
  14. Chicken wings and thighs have most fat content. Grilling season has not ended lol.
  15. You have a rare commodity. I had tons of improvements, blood work was great, only (triglycerides & hdl) need improvement but I did improve in 90 days went from 350ish in triglycerides to 230ish. No praise or positive input only to tell me to lower my Ldl and stop worrying about my triglycerides. I'm tenacious especially when I get looked down on due to my education. I'll school in a nice way but I'm putting him on notice.
  16. I think a dbl blind control study with same age grp, similar/same health grp of 25 m/f ,vegans and carnivore. Total 50 men 50 females. Do cognitive as well as physical testing for 1 year.
  17. Hence table salt shouldn't be on the table for discussion 😂 It's the process/chemicals used and if you're using table salt for foods, every little bit adds up. Table salt tastes way different than natural salt.
  18. You buying whole striploin/ribeye with cap? Hella cheaper than buying precut stuff and you customize thickness with or without fat cap.
  19. I pulled up 3 studies for my cardiologist. All 3 published and 1 is from college of cardiology. I thought of using videos of Dr's proving this but he's more likely not to comprehend layman's way so bury him in papers, studies so he feels a bit challenged 😂 If I can fix 1 broken dr I'm doing my job. If not I'll find a new cardiologist.
  20. TABLE SALT shouldn't be consumed for ANY reason. Look at the label. Get some blood work done so you have a better idea instead of possibly doing yourself more harm by chancing it's this or that. Eat BBB&E religiously along with electrolytes religiously for 90 days this will give your body time to regulate then get blood work done (fasting) of course. https://www.beefitswhatsfordinner.com/nutrition/beef-nutrients From WebMD Chicken breast has the highest amount at 332 milligrams of potassium per 3-ounce serving. Beef and turkey breast contain 315 and 212 milligrams, respectively. Hope this helps.
  21. FATTY beef or other ruminant animals. Fat>protein as that's where you will get most of your energy. Table salt no Bueno, only use Redmond real salt or Himalayan <single source or Celtic sea salt. Table salt has sugar and anti caring agent which neither are healthy. You can make electrolytes with Redmond real salt and water if you can't stand taste add a squeeze of lemon juice. Carnivore lifestyle works best without seed oils, carbs and sugar 😋 I like to eat omad, drinking my electrolytes all day until I get hungry.
  22. Could be an epidemic 😜
  23. So I cooked up bacon and eggs today but the dining room floor decided it was hungrier. Ended up grilling this after I cleaned up their mess 😜 Having 1lb 80/20 minced beef for supper. 20240913_151146.mp4
  24. Honestly the people working in medical field should use their common sense alas they're sheep like most of society walking through life with blinders while looking down upon the lowly layman who knows nothing because they don't have a FORMAL education like they do. Unfortunately you can't apply everything by protocol you have to improvise or make something work with what you have. Like when wife's Dr said ketosis is bad and go to the ER if I happen to get it. <<<< I had to walk away before she heard me laughing at her.
  25. Just was told to drink Gatorade 12 oz before surgery. They said not to drink my Redmond real salt and water mixture. Studies have been done those who drank Gatorade fared better than drinking water or nothing with their blood glucose due to the electrolytes. So I just chuckled and agreed so I can get off the phone with that mentally and cook my ribeye.
