I haven't eaten outside since I started my journey and not sure I can after seeing the shit that they put into food. Especially after eating at friends 2x only having 2 drumsticks finding out later they're fried in vegetable oil. I prefer Texas roadhouse > longhorn.- 1,369 replies

Day 5 of carnivore
Meathead replied to Mammamu's topic in Carnivore, Meat-based Keto, & Ketovore Support
Lamb pieces on the bone, soak in milk for 24 hrs to get the gamey taste out. Rinse thoroughly then put in a slow cooker. Makes a filling meal and you drink broth after. Maybe try bone marrow if you can. It's super delicious over meat or suckin from the bone. -

From: MD<<cardiologist 12:10 PM It's not me that needs to challenge them. It is them that have to reverse the overwhelming proof that LDL puts plaque in the arteries. I invite you to read/listen to everything that Thomas Dayspring writes and speaks. He is a physician and lipidologist and a recognized expert on lipids. I would also encourage you to read the National Lipid Association and Am Soc for Preventive Cardiology statement on LDL https://www.lipidjournal.com/article/S1933-2874(23)00033-8/fulltext Then read the Am College of Cardiology / Am Heart Association guidelines on primary prevention of cardiovascular disease https://www.ahajournals.org/doi/10.1161/CIR.0000000000000678 And the 2023 ACC AHA guidelines on management of patients with chronic coronary disease https://www.ahajournals.org/doi/10.1161/CIR.0000000000001168 Each one of these is cites dozens and dozens and dozens and dozens of articles to support the their statements. When you have read literally hundreds of articles, personally looked at these trial results, know the authors and their clinical background, it is compelling to me. And again, I treat patients with ASCVD everyday. For 20+ years I have. I gave him until October 31st to read and reply but his ego and unprofessionalism got the best of him. Showing me no respect by talking down to me instead of a language I would better understand. I'm beside myself hearing "I care about your health " but let's do low fat diet with a statin.

I cant do it!
Meathead replied to Bossman150's topic in Carnivore, Meat-based Keto, & Ketovore Support
I love trying different roasts and smelling roasted coffee. Once I heal up I may try doing without for awhile to see if any positive effects or not. So mid October or November 1st will try to quit. -
I've said it before and I'll say it here. You could hit them upside the head with a brick and they still wouldn't have the common sense. I just replied that last reply to yank his chain, he's fired regardless of his decision. Due to the fact his being unprofessional response to a bipolar (diagnosed 2002) person. I'm just stating facts not using my diagnosis as a crutch or pass.

So he pushed me into a corner with his egotistical remark. My reply to him. I have several Ferrari mechanics as you put it you can challenge their discoveries on saturated fats/red meat diet VS CVD. Mind you 3 of the authors served on the board 2005 for SAD have now reversed their findings and thoughts on saturated fats/red meats in a daily diet. https://www.jacc.org/doi/10.1016/j.jacc.2020.05.077 Looking forward to hearing from you.

herbal supplements for constipation?
Meathead replied to Colene's topic in General Health and Wellness Discussion
I guzzled 10oz of magnesium citrate drink and it was effective for clearing the system out like flushing a radiator. -
Ok so basically he's called 1 person who spent 20yrs with PhD in neuro science then decided to get a PhD in cardiovascular a part time whatever . Only reading a couple magazines. I put my money on Dr David Diamond > my cardiologist. But cudos for a hasty retort and because I challenged him he's going to read them. If it looks like sh##, smells like sh## I'm going to call it sh##.

I am smiling from ear to ear trying to keep from laughing my ass off at the stupidity and narrow minded response from putting my cardiologist on notice. Me>cardiologist Hello. I have given you 3 links to studies/information that Dr. Xxxxx should read to reconsider his stance on our discussion in his office on Sept. 11 2024 . I will not entertain nor acknowledge responses from anyone other than Dr. Xxxx concerning this. https://pubmed.ncbi.nlm.nih.gov/25672965/ https://pubmed.ncbi.nlm.nih.gov/35938780/ https://pubmed.ncbi.nlm.nih.gov/32773573/ I hope to hear from Dr. Xxxxf before the end of October 2024 regarding this. Thank you Mr. Xxxx Cardiologist >me It'll take some time to respond, Mr. Xxxx. I don't have open access to these articles. The lead author seems on a mission to prove his point. I think it's confirmation bias to only look for articles that support your point. But I have been reading studies, placebo controlled trials, not observational studies. I am a cardiologist full time, not a part time investigative psychologist who isn't a physician or cardiologist that has never treated people since the age of 18. Twenty years later, I will never ever change my stance that LDL is a huge component of atherogenesis and plaque formation. I would look because you're my patient and I want to respect your viewpoint. But know that the psychologist writing these papers does not treat people. If you want to trust a plumber to repair your Ferrari, that is a choice you can make, but you also might want a certified Ferrari technician who has been doing it for a couple decades and has serviced literally tens of thousands of Ferraris over the plumber who read a couple of magazines about Ferraris.

What Did You Eat Today?
Meathead replied to Geezy's topic in Carnivore, Meat-based Keto, & Ketovore Support
I've used under 40 lbs of pellets for smoking 28 hrs, grilling steaks octopus and burgers tastes better than propane. Since it heats up fast, I don't empty hopper cooking every day. The electric is minimal. Empty hopper is a 30 minute preheat.- 1,369 replies

Hi and welcome aboard. Your question and background is VERY vague. With the information provided it's difficult to think about answering. More detailed information provided the easier to get an answer. From googling..... Mucus in stool can occur due to a number of possible reasons, including: Normal amount A small amount of mucus in stool is normal and helps keep the colon lubricated. Intestinal infection A large amount of mucus in stool, especially when accompanied by diarrhea, could be a sign of an intestinal infection. Infections can be caused by bacteria, viruses, or parasites, and can lead to other symptoms like fever, vomiting, and abdominal pain. Food intolerance or allergy Food sensitivities can cause inflammation in the gastrointestinal tract, which can lead to excess mucus. Dehydration Dehydration can cause excess mucus in stool, but it usually goes away on its own. Irritable bowel syndrome (IBS) This functional gastrointestinal disorder can cause changes in bowel habits and mucus in stool. Crohn's disease or ulcerative colitis These inflammatory bowel diseases can cause mucus in stool, and bloody mucus or mucus with abdominal pain may be a sign of a more serious condition. Colon cancer A noticeable increase in mucus in stool, especially if accompanied by other symptoms, could be a sign of bowel cancer. If you're concerned about the amount of mucus in your stool, or if you're experiencing other symptoms, you should consult your doctor. Hope this helps.

Well today's surgery went well and unfortunately forced to take pain medication and antibiotics via IV. I did learn they have to manage pain even though you're unconscious as they're on 2 different spectrum of each other. Regardless hospital staff were a breath of fresh air especially @ 5 am. Pain meds from hospital wearing off and pain is a bit annoying like when your insides gurgling before you have explosive diarrhea. Once I heal up I'm going back to flat stomach.

Hello and welcome aboard. I compare your statement to giving heroin addict Narcan so they can keep doing heroin. You're on the right path starting carnivore. 1. Electrolytes = Redmond real salt,Himalayan salt or Celtic sea salt mixed with your water daily. 2. Fatty meats as fat is where you get most of your energy. 3. Eat until you don't want to put more food into your body. 4. Keep plenty of meats yes even hotdogs, spam something you can snack on just in case. 5. Rinse and repeat. Don't worry so much about supplements or anything until you have blood work done (thorough).
