  1. Exactly, but remember what works for you or myself may not work for others. Some of us are fortunate enough to have the willpower, mindset others may need support but it doesn't make us better or them weaker. We all have to support one another and help each other with our short comings.
  2. 4 am 6 eggs and 4 strips of bacon. 3pm 3 1/3 lb 80/20 burgers 16 oz ribeye for supper. Tomorrow's surgery.

  4. You have a rare commodity. I had tons of improvements, blood work was great, only (triglycerides & hdl) need improvement but I did improve in 90 days went from 350ish in triglycerides to 230ish. No praise or positive input only to tell me to lower my Ldl and stop worrying about my triglycerides. I'm tenacious especially when I get looked down on due to my education. I'll school in a nice way but I'm putting him on notice.
  5. You could try eating alot of protein before fasting. I never thought I would make it not being hungry past 3 hours. Just before my 90 days doing carnivore I did a 60 hr fast, I broke it because I was super bored and 60 hrs was a milestone for me.
  6. I think a dbl blind control study with same age grp, similar/same health grp of 25 m/f ,vegans and carnivore. Total 50 men 50 females. Do cognitive as well as physical testing for 1 year.
  7. Hence table salt shouldn't be on the table for discussion It's the process/chemicals used and if you're using table salt for foods,every little bit adds up. Table salt tastes way different than natural salt.
  8. You buying whole striploin/ribeye with cap? Hella cheaper than buying precut stuff and you customize thickness with or without fat cap.
  9. I pulled up 3 studies for my cardiologist. All 3 published and 1 is from college of cardiology. I thought of using videos of Dr's proving this but he's more likely not to comprehend layman's way so bury him in papers, studies so he feels a bit challenged If I can fix 1 broken dr I'm doing my job. If not I'll find a new cardiologist.
  10. TABLE SALT shouldn't be consumed for ANY reason. Look at the label. Get some blood work done so you have a better idea instead of possibly doing yourself more harm by chancing it's this or that.   11. FATTY beef or other ruminant animals. Fat>protein as that's where you will get most of your energy. Table salt no Bueno, only use Redmond real salt or Himalayan <single source or Celtic sea salt. Table salt has sugar and anti caring agent which neither are healthy. You can make electrolytes with Redmond real salt and water if you can't stand taste add a squeeze of lemon juice. Carnivore lifestyle works best without seed oils, carbs and sugar I like to eat omad,drinking my electrolytes all day until I get hungry.
  12. Atophogy will happen. The thing is you can't stray from carnivore (cheating or anything), drink electrolytes religiously and stay as active as you can. I was 300lbs dropped to 265, I'm 6ft 1 in. Lost my man cans,2 inches of belly with no exercise but I'm constantly on my feet every day.

Honestly the people working in medical field should use their common sense alas they're sheep like most of society walking through life with blinders while looking down upon the lowly layman who knows nothing because they don't have a FORMAL education like they do. Unfortunately you can't apply everything by protocol you have to improvise or make something work with what you have. Like when wife's Dr said ketosis is bad and go to the ER if I happen to get it. <<<< I had to walk away before she heard me laughing at her.
  15. Just was told to drink Gatorade 12 oz before surgery. They said not to drink my Redmond real salt and water mixture. Studies have been done those who drank Gatorade fared better than drinking water or nothing with their blood glucose due to the electrolytes. So I just chuckled and agreed so I can get off the phone with that mentally and cook my ribeye.
  16. Hi and welcome aboard. This lifestyle is super beneficial but will have hiccups, stalls and the dreaded falling back to carbs and sugars. Make sure you get a benchmark blood work starting and annual, drink electrolytes religiously. Congratulations on your journey and best wishes for you to achieve your goals.

How's he going to refute someone who's got PhD in neuroscience<25 years AND PhD in cardiovascular <<24 years that's published evidence statins are basically only good as a business model and nothing else
  18. So my cardiologist tried to explain red meat causes inflammation, my 230 ldl cholesterol was bad and has to get closer to 55 to avoid another maybe more serious cardiovascular event. He said carbs are not the problem it's red meat. I asked him how is it my neuropathy in both legs and feet 95% reversed, I wake up wide eye and bushy tail,I can run up 2 flights of stairs and not be winded,AND after 15 years I wake up with a morning wood like a 15 yr old boy. His response was I can only recommend, suggest to you so as to prevent another event. We both agreed to disagree, he refuses to let his pride go and look into this lifestyle for enlightening. I will definitely print abstract of studies in BMJ and present them my 6 month appointment.
  19. I'm so jealous, I need to get 2 or 3 vintage skillets that don't break the bank. My newer lodge had a rough finish but with using metal spatulas and years of care it's now smooth but not as good as Griswold, wapak.

  21. So far feeling better day by day even though I'm not active until after surgery. Hovering around 265lbs, my moobs almost disappeared (yayyyyyy). Lost 2 inches on belly. Total wt loss is 35lbs. All of this and more in my 90 days of carnivore. Can't wait to see 180 days then 1 yr. This is more exciting than when I sobered up cold turkey.
