  1. I don’t drink milk but just because I don’t see the need to but I do make yogurt and ice cream. If I come across some raw milk I’d like to try making some yogurt out of it. I did no strength training when I was losing weight and I lost no muscle that I could measure or feel. I lost 60 pounds in one year. I did walk for exercise in the beginning when I was able to walk again but during the winter I stopped. I did use some resistance bands on occasion but in reality I did very little exercise but then again, exercise doesn’t provide weight loss. Sent from my iPhone using Tapatalk
  2. I am taking a D-3 with MK-7. 5000 IU/180 mcg. I’ll be having my biannual physical soon so I’ll be looking to see if that high a dose has been doing anything detrimental. Sent from my iPhone using Tapatalk
  3. I started the day with a couple of “sizzle steaks”? My wife picked these up in at the store. They are very thin sliced sirloin. I just pan fried them in some bacon grease and let me tell you what, they are now my new favorite breakfast with eggs. I liked them better than I do bacon. Later on I smoked a chuck roast but forgot a picture of it but I did get a picture of the ribeyes and venison burgers I smoked. That’s the first time I tried smoking venison burgers and I thought they came out very good. Really retained some moisture. Sent from my iPhone using Tapatalk
  4. While most of us are very familiar with what’s being presented here it should be required watching for those just thinking about carnivore or just beginning. Sent from my iPhone using Tapatalk
  5. The only vitamin I take is D. Everything else is bioavailable from the meat. Sent from my iPhone using Tapatalk
  6. Give it time. Your body didn’t become sick overnight and you can’t cure it overnight. Be patient and just keep eating your fat and meat. Sent from my iPhone using Tapatalk
  7. Just been eating ribs and pork butt for the last couple of days. Decided to make a bacon and cheddar omelette this morning. I’ll eat again later probably. Sent from my iPhone using Tapatalk
  8. The cheapest way I know of is to buy the whole rib roast and cut your own. Then if you know someone in the restaurant business you could get them to buy the rib roast at their cost for you which will be cheaper still. My sister in law owns a restaurant so I can buy them from her. Sent from my iPhone using Tapatalk
  9. Food art today y’all. Slow smoked that pork butt for 10 hours. Nice tasty bark and fall off the bone tender. Tomorrow it’s time to go primal. Opening day of bow season starts and I’ll be out there going primitive. So glad it’s finally here because I’m getting really low on venison. Sent from my iPhone using Tapatalk
  10. Welcome Slambo. We are glad to have you here. You are on track to better health for sure. Stay strong in your convictions to eat carnivore and set a good example for those around you and you may just convert them. Sent from my iPhone using Tapatalk
  11. Welcome Alan. I’m glad you could join us. All diets fail. They fail because they are something you do to loose weight and then when you’ve lost the weight you go back to eating like you did before and put it all back on and then some. As Meathead (ironically we have All In The Family on tv right now) said , this is a lifestyle and changing your lifestyle is the only thing that works. No, the bread is trash. All “keto” foods are trash. You are not eating keto you are eating carnivore. Carnivore is simple. Eat when hungry. Eat nothing but animal fats, animal protein, salt and water. When you do eat then eat until you are comfortably full. Sent from my iPhone using Tapatalk
  12. Very good and should be required watching for anyone thinking about starting a keto/carnivore lifestyle. Sent from my iPhone using Tapatalk
  13. Yes there is a difference. Grain finished is going to have more marbling and as such will have a better taste. But to get down to the nutrients the grass finished is healthier. The difference in nutrition is not so much as to put yourself in a financial strain to buy the grass finished unless you have specific issues eating grain finished. The cattle and sheep that I raise for food is all grass finished but that’s my preference. Sent from my iPhone using Tapatalk

  16. I visit every day. I use Tapatalk because I find it easier to navigate but I keep the website pulled up on DuckDuck Go. But as you know I don’t own a computer, just my phone. Sent from my iPhone using Tapatalk
  17. Welcome Megan, you’ve got a great support group here. Having an addiction to carbs is just like any other addiction. You have to be determined to beat it. You have to be stronger than the addiction. Just like an alcoholic or drug addict you have to fight it one day at a time. Start with today. Stay clean for just today. You will feel so victorious when the day ends and you go to bed. When the new day starts then you start all over again and just get through that day. You do this every day anew and before you know it your addiction is gone. The physical addiction is easy to beat but the mental addiction is the tough one because it lasts longer than the physical. So to beat that you have to have a strong mental game. I new to adopt the mindset that you cannot fail. No matter what, you will not fail. You can do this girl and we’re here to support you any way we can. Good luck and stay strong. Sent from my iPhone using Tapatalk
  18. Yes, inches don’t always coincide with weight loss. Every stall I encountered I still lost inches. I’ve only done one fast and it was only because I just didn’t feel like eating. I’ve got to admit it felt great. Sent from my iPhone using Tapatalk
  19. We used to do that and still do to some extent but lately my wife has been on a kick of naming them after movie characters. Sent from my iPhone using Tapatalk
  20. Just venison burgers and eggs today. Sent from my iPhone using Tapatalk
  21. They are and they are fixin to pay the price for stealing the deer’s corn. I’ll be guiding a father and daughter hunt next week for those hogs. Sent from my iPhone using Tapatalk
  22. Well you certainly are the first and you won’t be the last. It happens to many of us. Now forget the mistake but remember the lesson. When the temptation arises try to remember how bad you felt when you cheated and how great you feel when you’re eating right. I equate this to my tobacco addiction. After a 35 year addiction I’ve been clean for 18 years now. I know beyond a shadow of a doubt that if I ever touch tobacco I’ll be hooked again and will probably never get off of it again. I can’t take that chance. I look at my carb addiction the exact same way. If I eat that way again I’ll be hooked for life. I worked hard to get rid of this addiction and I don’t ever want to go back to that glutinous lifestyle that was killing me again. I am determined to not fail. So stay in that mindset that you will not fail. Resist the cravings and fight them by eating fat. Cure your addiction so that you are in control and not it. This is a lifestyle that gives back health and life. You are in it for the long run so be strong and determined. You can do this. Now go light the fire, burn the beast and be happy. 23. I need to go grocery shopping. Sent from my iPhone using Tapatalk
  24. Well Bob you inspired me so carnivore nachos it was today. Chopped up a bacon infused venison burger and used extra sharp cheddar. Sent from my iPhone using Tapatalk
  25. I hear you. It’s time to move on. Knock the dust from your sandals as you leave. He and many other closed minded doctors are the reason for this health epidemic we have in our country but you already know that. I hope you find a new doctor that’s as understanding as my cardiologist. Good luck. Sent from my iPhone using Tapatalk
