Still eating ZERO carbs
UPDATE ! I Just looked at my CGM, all reports, and all cycle periods. Is encouraging to see a noticeable change at 7 day intervals. Steady movement in the right direction. Slow, but steady. I am g getting ready to contact my Endocrinologist for some additional labs to better quantify my Diabetes. Will not see my PCP until mid July. I expect they will be a bit stunned with my results. Just keep on the ZERO Carb Train. U all be well

Still eating ZERO carbs
I am on a slow decline in my Blood Glucose Level! Therefore, effective tomorrow my daily Lantus insulin dose will be reduced from 25 to 22 units per day. I gave everone fair warning not to bet against me. This change will remain in effect for 30 days. As my body Adapts.

Daily Chat and Progress Check-In for February 2026
So I had some better thinking this morning. My metabolic health improves and I do better. A very small daily improvement may not register in any noticed way. But over 7 to 14 days of consistent feeding and exercise it show a small gain. Lack of consistency in diet exercise and or BGL and it builds a lack of results. For me staying on track is crucial, a must. A small disturbance in careful eating or exercise and results slow, stop, or even reverse. Atleast at this stage of my journey. In our community there often is a big focus on big and quick results. Alot depends on where you are in your journey. Just my observations. Be well

Daily Chat and Progress Check-In for February 2026
Watching my 90 day BGL average decrease by 1mg/dL every 14 days or there about. It is now down to 112 mg/dL My insulin dose is remaining condtant. By the end of February I anticipate a small reduction in my insulin dosage will be something I will do. Again, I remain ZERO carb, Coke Zero free, and coffee is down to 12 ounces per day. Going in the right direction, i can measure the slow progress. Is warmer now, so getting more walking in. Be well all. It is nice right now

Daily Chat and Progress Check-In for February 2026
Seeing the trend on my Continuous Glucose Monitor reports. It was nice to see this evening. Not settling any record pace in the decline. Is going in the desired direction. That is a win. Even slight reductions are good. If you are in a weight 📉way , u get my meaning. Onward, be steady be as true as u need to be for yourself. Everyone be well, February is half over.

i'm having trouble staying on track
For me, fasting is an interruption to my rhythm. My body does best with a constant rhythm.

Super Bowl ad GLP-1
The dosage of a GLP1 for blood sugar control (will loose a few pounds) and the dose for weight loss are about 4x÷. Bigger dose is more possible side effects. My body does not like several drugs. All of the diabetic drugs, oral or injections, Have not worked for me mostly due to bad side effects. I continue on Zero Carb eating and insulin. And Increasing my exercise. Will se that things look like at the end of this first 3 months.

Daily Chat and Progress Check-In for February 2026
I am once again reviewing my dietary lifestyle. Seems constant review is mandatory to continue progress. Gone is the Coke Zero, most all artificial sweeteners, and now coffee is on the table. I never thought I would even consider reducing of eliminating coffee. Better health does take precedence. As a diabetic my insulin injection dosage remains constant as my BGL average slowly declines. 7 day average Blood Glucose Level is 105 and 90 day average is 114. I know my PCP thinks I am too aggressive in my blood sugar control. My endrinconologist thinks I am ok and likes my result. Once u get in your 60s doctors think A1c under 7 is ok. Move into your 70s and <8 is ok. Not for me. Coffee consumption is now going down to 2 mugs a day. Yes it is a 12 0unce mug. Please do not ask me how much reduction it is, let's just say a significant decrease. So Zero carb eating is my thing. Appetite ebbs and flows, goes up and down somewhat, but overall us consistent. Will call to request necessary blood work in early March to hopefully define my diabetes better. May everyone make progress along their path.

Broke a 1000
Great. Good to hear. I wish all 1,000 well. Is small community. We grow slow.

Super Bowl ad GLP-1
Perhaps. I do not know but have heard if u come off the drug. The weight comes right back. So someone has to keep paying.
-
Super Bowl ad GLP-1
Yes. The main problem with GLP1 and SGLT2 is the lack of long term studied. They were never done a Ken Berry explains it. I suspect many high profile people are using them. Competition will increase supply and reduce prices. Insurance companies are likely not too happy right now

Daily Chat and Progress Check-In for February 2026
We all are just a bit different to some degree. It is the bell curve, most of us are under it somewhere perhaps under one of the tails I react negatively to many drugs. Particularly T2DM and statin meds. Negative side effects. So I have c e to do the more natural, holistic, and simpler way. So this has landed me to a Ketogenic Diet, usually and mostly BBBE. My main objective is to control my Blood Glucose Level, BGL. The side effects are nice and include no joint pain, no skin issues, no heartburn, no sleep apnea, overall I feel better. No negative effects for a journey of 55 months. My Blood Glucose Level is regulated by a Ketogenic Diet and 25 units of Long Acting Lantus Insulin a day (down from 50 units) My 90 day Blood Glucose average is 114 mg/dL. Ranging between 70 to130, 95 percent of the time. My focus in February is increasing my exercise. Results are slow, but are steady. My journey began at age 65, far to late. Life is better and the prospects look decent long term For me, this is the only path that has worked i look forward to mor positive results in 2026. You all be well.

Daily Chat and Progress Check-In for February 2026
Thought this might be of interesr. Started a new Libre 2 Plus Senior today. The graph shows an erratic pattern. It takes 12 to 36 hourb to settle itself out. Just the way it usually happens. The actual BGL is likely in between the highs and lows

Thousands Sue Weight Loss Drug Manufacturers With Serious Harm Allegations Caused by GLP-1 Medications
Unfortunately. Most people do not I t understand the GLP1 medication. Dr. Eric Westman recently stated in a video that a strong ( < 20 total carbs a day) Keto style diet would be more effective with less cost and side effects. People want easy and fast results.
