He is an acquired taste. He comes off as harsh but it's just a schtick for clicks. Everyone says he is actually very charming in person.

Well Meat, welcome to our group.
I know a few people who eat carnivore that have little to no physical issues and no need to loose weight. They do it because it is the most nutritious way to eat.
They find that they do feel better and love the simplicity of this way of eating. You may find, like so many before you have found, that after trying carnivore as a curiosity it becomes a lifestyle rather than just a diet.

Hey, my name is Jamie, I've been on the carnivore diet for about 3 years now.
I was keto before that for about three months after eating about 15 doughnuts in a row and suffering from the biggest cramp EVER. After that, I studied the keto diet and learned about the science. Ketosis, gluconeogenesis all that good stuff.
Since starting the carnivore diet, I've gained a vast wealth of knowledge regarding the carnivore diet/keto due to watching Professor Bart Kay and so now I'm spreading the message, since, of course, the mainstream narrative is carbs are essential for health. Even our UK government says a person between the ages of 19 - 65 MUST get at least 333 grams of carbs per day to be healthy...
    Pure insanity.

I think they lowered the "normal" range for blood pressure as well. It's all nonsense.

Bob pretty much nailed it all but I will add that you haven’t been on carnivore long enough to see much if any difference.

Carnivore is not a magic bullet. Carnivore is not a diet. Carnivore is a way of eating which enables your body to undo years of metabolic damage, abuse from calorie restricted diets, and metabolic disregulation. Carnivore is primarily about health and healing.
Yes- it is true that the weight will come off. But! It will do it when it wants to. For some people it happens fast, for others slow because we are all different.
Some women, as Bob said, will loose slower than men. Look at Kelly Hogan, she took 6 months before she saw any weight loss but she did see metabolic healing in that time.
So relax. Give it time and just eat right. Eat only when you are truly hungry then eat fatty meat until it doesn’t taste good anymore. Use plenty of salt and maybe take an electrolyte supplement and drink water.
Avoid anything that’s sweet. Avoid all seeds, grains and seed oils. Eliminate all vegetables and preferably spices in the beginning.
But most of all, be patient. None of this happens overnight. As I said earlier, this is not a diet, it’s a way of life that you should commit to for life, for health.

An observation I made while going over the results of my most recent bloodwork results was that of the LDLc recommendation.
The first time a statin was ever mentioned to me was probably back in the early to mid 90’s. The doctor at that time suggested I get on a statin because my LDLc was as he put it, “ borderline high” at 200.
So in this latest test my LDLc was 195 and my present doc is saying it’s extremely high. Then I noticed the average that they recommend now is 130. Good Grief! [emoji1749]
In another five years it’ll probably be down to 100.
Well I refused the statin back then and I’m still refusing it. I’m just fine with it being what “they” consider high.

These guys give great advice; other than that, I would just reiterate that it’s best not to think in terms of normal vs not normal. Tons of people have had success, but it doesn’t come the same way for everyone. I’m 7 months in and still looking to make adjustments for my body. I believe we’re all on the right track, it just takes fine-tuning and patience. 👍‍

I am just now within the last week experiencing this euphoric type of energy. I have been at this since mid February.  I have recently started focusing on eating mostly beef and adding more butter to my decaf.  I have quit caffeine coffee over this time as well, so I am supposing my sleep has gotten better.

Very true. I’m 349 days in and still tweaking here and there. For some of us it can take more time to heal and expel all of the toxins accumulated over a lifetime.

I’ve never had a weight problem, so it’s always been about feeling healthier. Whether you choose to be strict or not so much, I think carnivore is definitely a lifestyle. 👍‍
