  1. Chaffle burgers today. Got a pot of yogurt fermenting right now and started making bacon today also. It’ll wet brine for 7 days. Sent from my iPhone using Tapatalk
  2. That’s fantastic! It totally makes sense because as our bodies become metabolically healthier our bodies become strong enough to fend off infection and illness. This has been seen in carnivores who have recovered in half the time as other family members who have had viral infections. Sent from my iPhone using Tapatalk
  3. I’ve experienced some itchy rashes and experienced some of what you’ve talked about but I don’t really know if it was oxalate dumping or just some kind of topical dermatitis. I’m not sure that anyone can say for certain that anything we experience during these times are OD or something else. I have read, by some who claim to know, that it can go on for several years. It’s also my understanding that spinach is one of the highest oxalate containing vegetables there is. Stay the course and let it play out. Sent from my iPhone using Tapatalk
  4. Good points. It’s also good to point out that our ancestors got minerals naturally through the water they drank and foods they ate. Unfortunately our soils have been depleted of their minerals from over farming and our water supply cannot be trusted. I have well water which was a great source of natural minerals but it was so heavily laden with minerals that it was calcifying everything in my house so I had to install a soft water system and filters. 5. Define “Healthy” lol! It’s such a subjective term. Which looks healthier? Hard to say really. To me the one on the right, pink shirt, looks better but that could be influenced by the different color tones in the photos. The other guy looks weaker to me. Sent from my iPhone using Tapatalk

  7. Eat what you want as long as it doesn’t affect your health and or weight. Foods affect us all differently depending on where we are at metabolically. They are low in carbohydrates and high in fat so they are definitely the better choice. Personally I will not eat any nut of any kind because it is a seed and I will not consume seeds. If you tolerate them then enjoy them. Because of their high fat content they may be less bad that other nuts. I don’t believe fats from plants are as good as fats from animals but I have no proof to back that up either. Often I hear from people that say they don’t like to eat fat but I wonder if they are talking about just eating gobs of fat on a steak or pork or are they talking about rendered fat as well. If you don’t like to just eat a chin of fat like what’s on your meat, you can increase your fat intake by just cooking your food in tallow, lard, ghee or butter. Put a couple of pats of butter on your steak. Put some butter in your coffee or tea and emulsify it in. Just a thought. Good luck and good carnivore health. Sent from my iPhone using Tapatalk
  8. Great post, thank you for all of that. I’ll be checking all of those out. As of right now the only condiments I use are Mayo that’s either made with animal fats or fruit oils and mustard that is clean. So far I’ve only been able to find clean mustard in typical yellow mustard of which I’m not a big fan of. I much prefer a brown mustard but so far the ones I’ve looked at have sugar in them. 9. It was delicious to the point of being decadent but I’m paying the price now for going too fat heavy. Oh well , better than the other end of that spectrum. [emoji15] Sent from my iPhone using Tapatalk
  10. Three over easy eggs on a bed of rendered out fat pieces. When I make tallow I save the rendered out fat pieces for just this sort of thing. Because this is such a fat heavy meal I won’t get hungry for at least 20 hours. Sent from my iPhone using Tapatalk
  11. True but that food can be easily prepared in bulk ahead of time so you can just grab and go. Sent from my iPhone using Tapatalk
  12. I will continue to post what I eat. Sent from my iPhone using Tapatalk
  13. I’m at a point where I’m introducing foods into my diet for seasoning to see how my body reacts. I was curious about jalapeño’s because I love them and hot peppers but being in the nightshade family I didn’t know how it would turn out. About a month ago my wife wanted some chili so I fixed her some and thought I’d try a little too. I was hurting (inflammation) for the next three days. I think it was the tomato’s. So far I’m feeling no I’ll affects from the peppers so I may be good to go. Sent from my iPhone using Tapatalk

  15. If governments start dictating things like this then how long before they start making laws that tell you what you can eat. Since they are controlled by Big Food we know where that will lead to. Anyone remember Soylent Green? Sent from my iPhone using Tapatalk
  16. So Japan is outlawing being overweight by forcing companies to monitor their employees weight and handing out fines if they are. Absolute tyranny in my opinion. According to Dr. Baker the UK is considering the same thing. I’m all about getting healthy but nobody has a right to tell me how much I should weigh or eat. Sent from my iPhone using Tapatalk
  17. One thing that always baffles me is when someone that’s been eating carnivore says it’s boring just eating meat all of the time. All I can say is that they are only limited by their imagination. Sent from my iPhone using Tapatalk
  18. Lamb roast stew. Sent from my iPhone using Tapatalk
  19. We have a saying here in Texas, “If you don’t like the weather, go inside for 15 minutes then go back outside, it’ll change.” Sent from my iPhone using Tapatalk

  21. I’ve seen a lot of carnivores on utube using them with good results. I like to have one to try but I don’t have enough space now for all the cooking gadgets I have. Sent from my iPhone using Tapatalk

  23. Gotta be a story in there. Sent from my iPhone using Tapatalk
  24. Venison chorizo & egg tacos. The tortilla is actually an Egglife Wrap. Makes a pretty decent tortilla. Topped with cheddar cheese, Tabasco sauce and jalapeño’s. Yes I said jalapeño’s. This is going to be an experiment. I love hot peppers. The hotter the better. I haven’t had any since starting this WOE and since carnivore is an elimination diet and I’m at a comfortable weight where I can start introducing things back in. If these don’t cause me any issues over the next 3-5 days then I think I’m good. If not then they’ll be out of my life forever…or till the next experiment.[emoji6] Sent from my iPhone using Tapatalk
  25. I rarely snack anymore since becoming carnivore simply because my one meal a day keeps me satisfied for at least 18 hours. When I do occasionally get the urge for a snack I’ll get a bit of cheese, or a hard boiled egg, sometimes two. A couple of slices of pre cooked bacon. Some pork rinds. Sugar and soy free jerky. A cold sausage that’s clean. And the list goes on. Anything can be a snack or a meal you just need to look at the ingredients to make sure it’s clean. Sent from my iPhone using Tapatalk
