After about 2 years on Carnivore diet I had a major shift in thyroid condition. I went from extreme hyperthyroid (graves) with a fairly large goiter on the right side of my neck to extreme hypothyroid. I first noticed the goiter starting to get substantially smaller about 1 year ago. Then symptoms of tiredness and being cold all the time came along. In addition muscle fatigue and weakness set in and then eventually neuropathy in my feet and fingers. I could hardly hold my arms over my head to wash my hair. I'd go for walks in the summer but could hardly walk around the block as my legs would suddenly get very fatigued and low back get sore so I decided to come off carnivore for a while to see how that was going to go. More recently my lymph-nodes have swollen quit a bit, it seems the enlarged goiter had moved into the lymphatic system. I now noticed I have sleep apnea and drooling on my pillow along with dry eyes and change in vision. I was also taking Ivermectin daily at 0.4mg/kg so it left me wondering if it was the diet that caused the shift or the Ivermectin or the combination of both. I will admit I may not have been eating enough fat and or butter on carnivore and that I mostly ate grassfed/grass finished organic beef as I am friends with a farmer who raises certified organic beef. April 21/2023 bloodwork showed free T4 @80.5 pmol/L with normal being 10.0-25.0 pmol/L and free T3 @>30.8 pmol/L with normal range being 3.0-6.5 pmol/L, with TSH @ 0.01 mlU/L with normal range being 0.20-6.50 mlU/L. I had afib which I managed well with Beta Sitosterol Jan 9/2025 bloodwork showed free T4 @2.3 pmol/L and free T3 @ <0.3 pmol/L with TSH @ 18.24 mlU/L July 11/2025 bloodwork showed free T4 @1.5 pmol/L and free T3 @<0.3 pmol/L with TSH @ 25.16 mlU/L My Dr told me that after many years with hyperthyroid that my thyroid simply burned itself out and of course wanted to immediately put me on syntheroid. I understand that this is the only explanation the Dr is allowed to give but I think it's total BS From what I've read and watched in video's Carnivore is supposed to be good for hyperthyroid as well as hypothyroid so I'm left wondering what happened. Has anyone had a similar experience? Anyone have an idea of what's going on with me? I want to go back on Carnivore but don't want hypothyroid to get worse than already is if that's even possible. Any input, opinions or help understanding will be appreciated and welcomed.

My rash is mostly in my left and right side abdomen and lower back by the lower spine. I also get a little bit in the neck and around forearms and biceps. The itching goes away and comebacks. The reason I lower my fat intake was because I was having too much fat for my body to handle and that's why I dropped the fat. I thought that too much fat caused Keto rash. Is there a cream to get rid of the brown spots that keto rash leaves behind? My skin is two different colors right now..LOL @Bob

I'm that guy that walks up when the last good deal was just sold. LOL A buddy of mine just bought a chuck roll and instead of cutting up for the individual steaks, "Denver" and "Ribeye", he just sliced the chuck roll as it lay. He said he was happy with the way the steaks turned out. I'm thinking of giving that a run in the next month or so. This weekend was our first frost and the group killed hogs. I will stop by a get my 60-70lbs of sausage tomorrow. I never do the math on the sausage because I am almost sure I am losing money, LOL But it falls into the "it tastes amazing and I know where it came from" category. Enjoy babbling. LOL Scott

Sold a pallet of one pound packages of hamburger at the little store I part time at today (Saturday). Owner found a bargain somewhere and priced it at $3.99 a pound. Was busier'n a cat coverin up doodoo on a marble floor. Burger was 80/20. And apparently was a tyson brand. I managed to grab 5 pounds before we sold out. ... Then our regular burger went back up to $4.50 where it's been for a few months. Bacon went up awhile back to $3.69 a pound, from 3.49. ..... I still buy some meats from the local butcher shop. But not bacon and burger. An older couple came in today and was lookin at the cheeses and asked if I had ever tried Limburger cheese. 😀 I said I had, a long time ago. They said it was on they're bucket list. I told em they should try it. Wasn't bad. Just the after taste was alil wanky. We don't handle it there. He was going to havta find it somewhere else. Well, I've had a nap. Now I'm up too early. Ought to find something to do I spect.

I have been reading quite a bit on energy and mental clarity/focus on carnivore. I am putting thoughts together and my 2+2 might equal 9 but here goes. When I was on the trash diet/dumpster diet I was eating some of everything. Not horribly bad per se at mealtime but the 6-8 Mountain Dews and three or four Little Debbie cakes per day were doing me no favors. And when eating like that the foods are competing for the work available from the digestive system. It is not very efficient as even if the tract/gut were to gain ground, before assimilation is anywhere near complete, I am eating again. A lot of the energy we use comes from the ATP which is supported by creatine. Creatine has been widely studied as a performance enhancer but as of late its brain and cognitive support is becoming more and more evident/apparent. When I got off the dumpster diet and went strict carnivore, I am thinking my gut was one, not being constantly over ran with food, and two there was not a lot of competition for the capabilities of the gut/tract. I feel like things became much more efficient and now the meat and fats are being assimilated at a much higher percentage. The natural source for creatine is red meat and other proteins. I wonder is there a connection between being on carnivore the fact I am assimilating meats at a much higher percentage thus getting more of the available creatine, at least more than I would with the meats competing for assimilation amongst the previous dumpster diet. I was eating the same meats before, maybe even more at times than now, but lost weight, got past inflammation, off-set and auto-immune disease and have more energy than I did before. I think all I really did was both change and target the workload of my gut. Is my 2+2 closer to four or 9? Scott
