  1. Hang in there Laura. It must be rough to not be able to add some variety once in awhile. Is beef the only thing you can tolerate or are there other ruminants you can eat? If you can eat others that may help with some variety. Sent from my iPhone using Tapatalk
  2. I’m not sure who it is you are referring to but most people will think that seed oils aren’t inflammatory but I’m sure most people don’t even understand what inflammation in the body is and how it affects everything. I know that several times people have called for similar actions to be taken against Dr. Chaffee and Dr. Baker. Sent from my iPhone using Tapatalk
  3. That’s perfectly normal. We all had to break the chains of misinformation to learn the truth. We were all brainwashed at one time including the carnivore doctors that we now follow. Keep doing your research and understand how we have been lied to our whole lives. Immerse yourself into the culture and continue to garner information. Sent from my iPhone using Tapatalk
  4. As it should be for everyone. Pork and chicken can do that because of the imbalance of the fats they have compared to ruminates. And this is what I love about this lifestyle. I can eat until I’m satisfied and never have to count calories because it isn’t about the amount, it’s about how you’d body processes the food. This is true.
  5. We have had a lot of family coming into town to visit so I’ve been swamped and yesterday I smoked 8 ribeyes, 1 huge sirloin and seven New York strips. Everyone loved them or maybe they were just being nice but everyone went back for seconds. Sorry but I forgot to take pics. Sent from my iPhone using Tapatalk
  6. It can be easy to under eat in the beginning of carnivore because it satiates us so well that we just don’t get hungry like we used to. Instead of a hunger that craves food like it did when we were carb eaters our bodies tend to just let us know when it needs fuel. A carb hunger vs a carnivore hunger. It’s important then to make sure you are getting enough food and nutrition at each meal. You need plenty of fat to go with the protein. I generally only eat one meal a day so i make sure I eat enough. Sent from my iPhone using Tapatalk
  7. Welcome Laura. So glad you could join us. Sent from my iPhone using Tapatalk
  8. Been outta pocket here lately. Just too much going on but I did manage to wolf down a ribeye yesterday and just pulled a roast chicken out of the oven. Sent from my iPhone using Tapatalk
  9. Y’all are funny. [emoji1787][emoji1787][emoji1787] Sent from my iPhone using Tapatalk
  10. They are fine if you are keto and if your body handles them well then go for it. Just be aware that they can be one of the highest forms of oxalates there is so if you experience any kind of health issues it may be the nuts. Sent from my iPhone using Tapatalk
  11. I had a blood test six months into carnivore and then another six months later. My results were actually lower. After a full year as a carnivore. My overall cholesterol was 299 but came down to 269. LDL was 225 but then down to 190. Triglycerides were 87 then down to 66. HDL was 57 but then went up to 66. This puts my HDL to Triglyceride ratio to a 1 which is a fantastic number considering that that is the true maker for cardiovascular health. I’m actually concerned about my LDL dropping because it’s a well documented fact that there is more all cause mortality in older people who have lower cholesterol. I want mine to stay elevated. 12. This was yesterday and I’m sure I’ll be eating them again today. Sent from my iPhone using Tapatalk
  13. Good perspective Scott. It is healthy to be skeptical and not just about the things that don’t fit into our lifestyle but about our lifestyle as well. Even in carnivore there is a lot to be wary of. Just because someone says it’s so doesn’t necessarily mean they know. We can only rely on ourselves and must do our own research. Believing everyone who comes down the pike claiming this or that about carnivore tend to cause a lot of confusion within the ranks. One must have an open mind but always be willing to “trust but verify”. Sent from my iPhone using Tapatalk
  14. I hear you Scott. The more I learn the most I distrust and it’s well founded. Sent from my iPhone using Tapatalk
  15. I’ll see about doing that. We don’t have any Spanish shops here that I’m aware of, just plenty on Mexican carnicereas. They have good meats but no jams that I’ve seen. Sent from my iPhone using Tapatalk
  16. Things have been a little hectic for me lately but I still managed to find time to eat. Venison burger, beef cutlet and bacon. Sent from my iPhone using Tapatalk
  17. I spent some time working in Athens. Gyros were a staple of my diet. Sent from my iPhone using Tapatalk
  18. Beef cutlets and four eggs. Sent from my iPhone using Tapatalk
  19. Welcome Jarrod. Glad you could join us. I really can’t relate to what you are going through Jarrod because I’ve only experienced any anxiety a couple of times in my life under some very stressful circumstances. It could very well due to your transitioning. In the past when you had anxiety were you in a state of high energy? I ask because many people talk out how high their energy levels get on carnivore so I wonder it there could be a correlation. I hope you stick with this way of eating became it can take time to heal. 20. Orweller’s advice is sound and logical. He has been patient and is only trying to help. Sent from my iPhone using Tapatalk
  21. Man, those hams sound delicious. I’ve never had any hams that exotic. I love ham, especially what we call here a country ham but they probably don’t compare to what you’re talking about. The best I’ve ever had was Black Forest Ham that I used to get when I lived in Germany. I really miss it. Sent from my iPhone using Tapatalk
  22. I looked up some biltong on Amazon and the ingredients in most of them were much better than what we get with our jerky. The prices were a little out there though. I’m going to try and find some locally and if I can’t I’ll research it to see about making some. Sent from my iPhone using Tapatalk
  23. Food wise it was just some bacon and egg pafflewiches today. Been so swamped with family stuff right now it’s been hard to find time to eat. Sent from my iPhone using Tapatalk
  24. Yeah, kinda sort of. It’s from the Gonzalez flag of the Texas Revolution. It was actually our first fag used during the revolution. The phrase "Come and Take It" dates back to King Leonidas I defying the Persian army to take his army's weapons with the phrase "Molon labe" at the Battle of Thermopylae. So yeah, FAFO fits.
