  1. Eggs and precooked Jimmy Dean sausage patties for breakfast. They're just so tasty and convenient, lol. For dinner I had a "pizza bowl" from a local pizza place. The wife didn't want ground beef again and she was buying, lol. It was all meat and cheese besides the pizza sauce.
  2. I haven't seen the movie. But, we still have a complete set of non-stick cookware (from Ninja) that we use on the daily. Lately though, I have been thinking about my cookware more than ever before.
  3. I'll have to give this one a listen while I am on the road today.
  4. I will say you are eating more raw meat and organs than anyone I know, I think. Is this common in your culture? Or does this just happen to be what you personally find enjoyable?
  5. That is awesome! I'm hoping for the same this summer from my gastroenterologist. He said he will declare me "cured" if things are still looking good. I'm 5 years no meds.
  6. I had to go scrounging through my wife's and my brother's Facebook accounts. I don't take many photos of myself because I am the one behind the camera taking the pictures. I had to use the S Pen on my Galaxy Phone to take the recent pics of myself. Thank you for your kind review and for subscribing πŸ™‚ I fixed it. For some reason all your text was a hyperlink back to this site.
  7. Thanks Geoff. You know what's funny, is that I have my main account subscribed to my Carnivore Talk channel. I was watching YouTube on the livingroom television the other day, scrolling through my recommendations, and suddenly one of my thumbnails was on the screen and my kids are like "You're doing videos again?" lol πŸ˜„
  8. I got a Ninja Creami Deluxe a few days ago and gave it a test run. I used heavy cream, egg yolks, and a little raw honey. I didn't have any allulose or anything artificial to use. I use vanilla extract in one batch and strawberry extract in the other. The vanilla batch turned out fine. The strawberry batch didn't taste like strawberry, but rather like honey, which is not a great ice cream flavor, lol. But the family seemed to like it because they had most of it, lol.
  9. I just celebrated my ONE YEAR carniversary! After learning about the Proper Human Diet and Carnivore from Dr. Ken Berry MD - I lost 55 pounds and reversed several of my chronic health conditions. In this video, I share some pictures of the former me, when I tipped the scales from 220-230 pounds. I reached my goal weight of 175 in mid-November and have maintained it for the last 6 months. Now I am setting new goals and the carnivore diet gives me the confidence that I will achieve them too. 11. If I recall correctly when Bart Kay was discussing it, their is basically a grounding wire that you run outside and to the ground. This acts as a conductor. Same concept as standing on a rubber stool will protect you from electricity but if you stepped off the rubber stool onto the ground you would get fried.
  12. I'm not easily grossed out and generally speaking I would try anything once. I trained my pallet to like a variety of foods. I'm sure certain things might repulse me. Liver is sometimes great, and sometimes terrible. I've cooked it both ways, lol.
  13. Welcome aboard @Moomba. The original Atkins, based on the book, was a good plan. After he died his company was sold and the new "Atkins" became a shakes, bars, snacks, and meal company. Instead of wholesome recipes, it became a game of trying to create imitation versions of the junk food you were addicted to, which of course, solves nothing.
  14. It's Memorial Day weekend here in the USA, and Meijer has NY Strips on sale for $8.99/lb. They offer thin cut, regular cut, and thick cut. Check out this thick striploin I got. It was delicious, albeit a bit difficult to cook. Took longer than normal.
  15. I might consider a mat or pillowcase too. I sleep in a waterbed, but the window is right next to me πŸ™‚
  16. Yes, I flew into Houston, and Damon was about another 30-45 minutes out, I think. Flat as a pancake down there too. Not so much as even an anthill, lol.
  17. I have a PUR filter at home that I use. I also have an OPAL ice cube maker that makes the tiny little ice pellets. If I take water to go, I have a 32oz thermos with a metal lining. It doesn't seem to effect taste for me, at least not to any degree that bothers me. I will drink out of water bottles if I have to. At the music festival Saturday, they would throw cold water bottles into the crowd. I caught a few of those and drank from them all day.
  18. I was in Damon Texas in August 2009 to visit my grandparents, and it was ROASTING! πŸ˜„
  19. Sounds like a good April Fool's Day gag, lol πŸ˜„
  20. This is interesting. I've never heard this.
  21. Carnivore ice cream is my dessert. It's basically heavy cream and egg yolks. You can add a little artificial sweetener (or honey) if you want it a bit sweet and if you only have this once in a while it won't hurt you any (mind you, once in a while does not mean every day, lol). Use up your tahini so it doesn't go to waste. Gradually transition to carnivore. Keto substitute recipes are a nice crutch as you make your way to healthy whole single ingredient foods or a stricter carnivore. But like regular crutches, they should be temporary until you can "walk" on your own πŸ˜‰
  22. Mosquitos generally eat everyone around me and leave me alone, lol. Unless we are in an area where there is just way too many of them, or I am the only person around to try to feast on, lol.
  23. Keto is a good place to start, but we have to be careful how we define "keto". True keto is clean, whole, one-ingredient foods that God/nature provides. Aim to fill half your plate with fatty meat or eggs, and the other half with low-carbohydrate veggies. Gradually increase the meat and reduce the veggies over a set period of time until next thing you know you are fully carnivore. Try this for at least 30 days, preferably 90. A lot of people will experience the "keto flu" which is basically unpredictable stools, and then stop the diet and claim it doesn't work. You need to push past this transtion/adaptation phase. Took me 6 weeks. I've successfully reversed several of my issues, and my mental clarity and attitude has never been better. I think you will see the same results. So don't beat yourself up. Just be smart. Keep your actual carbs less than 20g a day to start. Avoid all sugar, grain, and vegetable seed oils. Of those things you listed, you may want to gradually wean yourself off the tahini. Sesame seeds contain a high amount of oxalic acid and phytic acid as well as other anti-nutrients like trypsin inhibitors, lectin, tannins, saponins. These anti-nutrients block mineral absorption and cause digestive distress when consumed. While hulling, toasting and cooking sesame seeds can reduce their anti-nutrient contents, it also lowers their nutrition value. We're here to help. And don't get too nervous about the festival. Just don't tell them you're eating a mostly carnivore diet. If you have to eat with them it's not the end of the world. I am going to a music festival in the morning - Sonic Temple in Columbus, Ohio. Once you're in, you can't leave, and you cannot bring anything in with you. I will probably have a massive breakfast and try to fast all day so I don't end up eating a $30 cheeseburger, lol.
