  1. Taboo in your culture? That’s interesting. What is your culture and why is it taboo? I don’t really have a favorite meat. I put red meat above all else but there are enough varieties of red meat that I just can’t say I prefer one over another. I just depends on my mood at the time. In red meats I love them all. Beef, lamb, goat, bison, venison of all kinds (deer, elk, caribou, etc). I raise much of the red meat I eat and I hunt the remainder. Next on my list is pork. Sometimes nothing beats a rack of slow smoked short ribs and bacon is a staple. A lot of the pork I eat comes from the hogs I hunt. Seafood. That one’s another tossup that vies for the top of the list. It’s especially great when I can combine it with a good steak. I have noticed that since becoming a carnivore I have lost my desire for fresh water fish, except for trout, and only like saltwater fish. If there’s any meat that just doesn’t compete with the others is poultry. I do like a good fatty duck and goose is good but they are a red meat. White meat fowl such as turkey, chicken , pheasant and quail can be boring. The only way I find them to be palatable is to drown them in butter. Sent from my iPhone using Tapatalk
  2. No, absolutely not. Red meat is the healthiest, most nutrient rich, bio available food you can eat. It is so nutrient rich that it’s the only food you need to live a healthy life. No, there are absolutely no studies that prove that red meat causes any health deficiencies but there is a ton of evidence to show that eating only meat is the healthiest way of eating. 3. There are no environmental damages caused by the meat industry. That is a myth and outright lie that is perpetrated by agenda driven idiots that no absolutely nothing about the livestock industry. Raising livestock is the most natural and ecological form of raising food there is. You want to see what damaging to our environment? Then look at agricultural farming. It destroys the land, pollutes it and destroys beneficial wildlife. Sent from my iPhone using Tapatalk
  4. I wouldn’t call it “real” meat but instead maybe whole meat? Even processed meat is still real, it’s just been modified. While Webster’s may define bacon as processed I totally disagree because I don’t believe curing something is altering it, only preserving it. It’s no different than cooking a pot roast, is that turning the roast into processed meat? No, you didn’t alter the meat anymore that curing it did. I make my own bacon so I’m very familiar with the process. Processed meats. In my opinion there’s nothing wrong with processed meats but with this caution, make sure it’s clean. That can be hard to do though. I read the ingredient labels on every thing I buy that’s processed. If it has any sugars, sweeteners of any kind and that includes any thing that ends in “ose” such as dextrose, that includes store bought bacon, I won’t eat it. Also, if it has any fillers such as grains, soy, soy grits I leave it alone. Chemicals are also a no no. If I had absolutely no other choice I would eat unclean processed meat but only in limited quantities and only after I had achieved my goals on carnivore. Do I like one over the other? Not really, it just depends on my mood. My German heritage demands that I love sausage and I do but the Texan in be loves a good steak or brisket. I ate one meal yesterday and it consisted of 1 dozen oysters on the half shell , 1 dozen boiled shrimp. 1 dozen langostino and four clean sausages. Sent from my iPhone using Tapatalk
  5. Bob is spot. The only thing I’d like to add is in regards to soy. Stay away from that crap as much as possible. First off it’s a seed and all seeds should be avoided. They are not meant to be eaten, are full of chemicals and toxins that cause inflammation in the body. Soy is especially bad to men because it increases the female hormone estrogen to increase in males whereby making them effeminate. Ever heard the term “Soy Boys”? Sent from my iPhone using Tapatalk
  6. Eating wise you’re doing great. The creamer? Maybe not so great. I agree with Bob that it’s probably not doing any harm but I’d be curious about the ingredients in it. Is it a liquid or a powder? Is it an animal based product or some product developed in a lab with a list full of chemicals that you can’t even pronounce? In my opinion, if it doesn’t come from an animal then it has no business going into the human body. It has no nutritional benefit whatsoever. If it is an animal product such as heavy cream and it doesn’t adversely affect you then it’s fine. Sent from my iPhone using Tapatalk
  7. Oh yeah, it’s changed quite a bit . It’s called spring, summer, fall and winter. Don’t worry about something you can’t do anything about. The planet has always gone through cyclic changes since the beginning of time and man and farting cows have never had anything to do with it. Study some actual science and history and stop listening to the drivel spewing out of the mouths of these idiots that just want attention. Sent from my iPhone using Tapatalk
  8. I could see where the sneaky outfits could start mixing in real hamburger, sausage and lunch meat and labeling it in very fine print. Very few people read ingredient labels. Since becoming carnivore I have become a voracious label reader. It’s amazing and sad how much crap they put in food. The deception is downright criminal. Sent from my iPhone using Tapatalk
  9. I’m really trying to refrain form saying…well duh! [emoji1787][emoji57] Sent from my iPhone using Tapatalk
  10. On one hand I want to agree that it should be outlawed but on the other, the food industry has been making fabricated food products for decades without anyone stopping them. It’s all fake food and it’s all poisonous. If we are going to outlaw fake meat then we should also outlaw all highly processed foods as well as seed oils. It’s all bad and detrimental to our health. Unfortunately, the only reason they are against the production of this false meat is economic and not health. Sent from my iPhone using Tapatalk
  11. I don’t eat breakfast simply because I only eat when I’m hungry and I don’t get hungry until the afternoon some time. In the morning when I first get up I’ll fix myself a bullet proof tea. One cup of hot tea. I like English Breakfast or Earl Gray. Coffee can also be used. One teaspoon of butter. One teaspoon of coconut oil or MCT oil. Emulsify in a blender, I use a NutraBullet, for 30 seconds. These are good anytime though if you want something that resembles traditional breakfast foods. Liver and egg pancake. Recipe Liver Pancakes Ingredients • 3 oz raw beef liver • 3 eggs • 3 tbsp ghee • sea salt Instructions • Blend the raw liver, eggs, ghee (room temperature/softened), and a dash of sea salt in a blender until smooth. No liver chunks should be left.
 • Make as you would normal pancakes at medium heat, with the exception of cook time and resting from heat. **See note below.
 • Top with 1 tbsp of ghee, and honey if you tolerate it/prefer. Enjoy!
Notes **Important notes: Beef liver cooks VERY quickly, so these pancakes will cook fast (usually about 15-20 seconds per side). Sometimes slightly more or less. You'll know to flip it when the batter starts to bubble and the bottom of the pancake has solidified. These pancakes like a lot of fat while cooking, so between every 1-2 pancakes, add some ghee to the pan. Between each pancake, I let the pan rest from heat for about 10 seconds. I pour the next pancake onto the pan while it is removed from heat, and after about 5 seconds, I add the pan back to heat. This prevents the pancake batter from sizzling, cooking too fast, and burning. I usually pour about 1/4 cup of batter per pancake. One batch makes about 6 pancakes. Sent from my iPhone using Tapatalk
  12. Absolutely! For me, IBS cured. Crohn’s disease cured. All inflammation and arthritis is gone. Where as I couldn’t walk a hundred yards without support, I now walk 3 miles briskly with no support. Dandruff is cured. Floaters in my eyes are gone. Blood pressure is normal. Cardiologist has taken me off of one of my medications and is talking about reducing the other. Sleep apnea is so reduced that I may be able to get off of my bipap machine. My flexibility has greatly improved. I was able to clip my own toenails last week for the first time in ten years or so. I’ve lost 46 pounds and 26 inches overall. I’m. 67 but feel 47 so yeah, I’ve seen not only benefits but just outright miracles. Sent from my iPhone using Tapatalk
  13. Physical fitness is taken care of by eating carnivore and staying active. I do some exercises but nothing hard. Mentally? Never been a problem for me. I’ve always had a very strong mindset. Mental health is for the weak minded who are not in control of themselves and their emotions. If I have any weakness in that area it would be anger. I get really pissed off at stupid people doing stupid things. But I control that emotion. It’s been a long time since I’ve pull someone out of their car and beat the shit out of them. 14. I’m retired so I don’t really have busy weeknights but if I just need something quick I’ll toss a steak in the frying pan. Take all of ten minutes from heating the pan to eating the steak. I often cook several meat items at once so there is almost always something I can just pop in the microwave to heat and eat. For instance, I smoked this brisket a week ago and I’m still eating on it. 15. Research, research, research. Read about carnivore and come to a complete understanding about how to do it and how it works in your body. Then, understand how your body functions in regards to how glycogen and fats work on your metabolic health. Get on utube and follow the carnivore doctors such as Ken Berry, Shawn Baker, Anthony Chaffee. They, and others of their ilk can help you get started down the right path. Then there are numerous utube carnivore influencers that share their stories, successes, failures, tips and methods to help you stay motivated and knowledgeable. Immerse yourself in the knowledge available to you. Carnivore is not a magic bullet. Carnivore is not a diet. Carnivore is a way of eating which enables your body to undo years of metabolic damage, abuse from calorie restricted diets, and metabolic disregulation. Carnivore is primarily about health and healing. Yes- it is true that the weight will come off. But! It will do it when it wants to. For some people it happens fast, for others slow because we are all different. Sent from my iPhone using Tapatalk
  16. 193 days as of today. Discovering carnivore and wanting to do it kinda goes hand in hand for me. I have proximal Atrial Fibrillation so I’m not in AFib all the time but I will have attacks that hit me really hard and result in a trip the the ER and a stay in ICU. After my fourth attack, my adult son asked me if this was going to shorten my life and my response was “more than likely, yes”. He then asked me to listen to what he had to tell me with an open mind. He talked to me about the carnivore lifestyle and how it could be metabolically healing. He then gave me some reading materials and videos to research and then decide for myself if it was right for me. It all made sense to me so I thought I’d try it for 30 days. I saw so much improvement after 30 days that I decided to see what another 30 days would bring. After 60 days things were going so good that I figured, why not 30 days more. I saw and experienced so many miracles in my health that I was convinced, deep down to my very core, that this was not only the proper way we should be eating but that it was also the way I would eat for the rest of my life. 17. I try to take a brisk walk every other day. I generally go 3 miles. On the off days I try to get in a workout with my resistance bands. Recently I’ve started doing ten sets of ten with each band exercise I do as well as inclined pushups. I’m 67 and have had many surgeries that have limited what I’m capable of doing so I do what I can. I also have a small farm that keeps me pretty active as well. For instance, yesterday I had to unload six railroad crossties from my pickup and put them in place for a new feed pen. Lots of lifting exercises there. I’m glad that eating carnivore doesn’t require exercise to be successful. Sent from my iPhone using Tapatalk
  18. There was a guy just down the road from me that had a couple. Funny looking critters. Sent from my iPhone using Tapatalk
  19. Yeah, mine was Adkins. It worked well for me for ten years or so but there were so many Adkins snacks and sweets that I got away from eating just meat and whole vegetables. Cravings got stronger and eventually took over. Bad foods crept in. Inflammation took over my body and I quit working out. Carnivore has changed all that and I have no desire to ever eat any kind of sweet or carby foods. I no longer care to eat for pleasure but only for nutrition. Sent from my iPhone using Tapatalk
  20. I only have one mounted, it can get expensive. I do have several euro mounts (just the cleaned skull and horns) . I just came in from boiling and cleaning these antlers and skull cap. I’ll put these up in my garage. Sent from my iPhone using Tapatalk
  21. Same here. New to me. Sent from my iPhone using Tapatalk
  22. I’m on a well so I don’t get any from my water and I don’t drink milk and I darn sure don’t swallow my toothpaste. Sent from my iPhone using Tapatalk
  23. My doctor wanted me to take that to loose weight but my insurance wouldn’t cover it. I’m glad now. Sent from my iPhone using Tapatalk
