  1. Congratulations on your journey with our Lord Jamie. May you grow in faith and love, discovering the depth of God's grace and the joy of His presence in your life. May you be guided by the Holy Spirit as you embark on this new journey of faith.
  2. Pretty much the same here Scott. I do most of the cooking and my wife is fine with just eating what I cook. If she wants something extra like an avocado or onion she will add it herself but for the most part she eats what I eat. I feel for the younger families where only one person in the household is eating a strict carnivore diet but everyone else eats SAD. It can drive up the cost of groceries and it’s hard on the mental game.
  3. Spot on Paul and Scott. It’s not that difficult or expensive unless you are the only carnivore in the family.
  4. The gas thing has me puzzled especially since you haven’t changed anything in your diet. I will still get a little gas occasionally but I believe it’s because I swallow air and then it’s not offensive. As far as feeling flat that could be not having enough fat in the diet. In my case I started having spells of low energy when my weight got very low. There just wasn’t enough body fat left to sustain me and I had to up my fat intake.
  5. As individuals with different physiology’s we are all our own N of 1. Looking forward to hearing how yours turns out.
  6. Smoked T-bone steak, eggs, cheese and a few slices of jalapeno tacos with egglife wraps.
  7. You are definitely on the right path Paul. Keep up the good work.
  8. Just natural Gluconeogenesis or something else?
  9. Good deal. I don’t have eye care insurance but I’ve been able to negotiate cash prices but it’s still expensive.
  10. I Renee when that happened. It was so sad. She had an eating disorder for sure.
  11. Never been a problem for me. It helps me keep weight on. As long as one is staying as minimal carb as possible then the Randle Cycle shouldn’t be an issue I’d think.
  12. No, you are not off the mark. To start with nearly all of the carnivore advocates state that eating dairy is still carnivore because it comes from an animal. Carnivores can be categorized by the importance meat plays in their overall diet: A Hypercarnivore or Obligate Carnivore is an animal that derives more than 70% of its calorie intake from animal foods. A Mesocarnivore derives about 50% of essential nutrients from animal foods in order to survive. Animals whose diet is only about 30% meat are called Hypocarnivores. Finally, Facultative Carnivores, the category in which humans belong, prioritize the consumption of animal foods but can survive (but not thrive) on vegetables. Wolves and dogs are also facultative carnivores. Where the doctor really goes off the rails is when he states that you can’t be a carnivore if you consume dairy but then states that all mammals eat dairy. 🥴 Are not all cats considered carnivore? Are not most carnivores mammals? This guy makes no sense.
  13. We are responsible for our own health. I have no other goals in the coming new year but to serve my Lord as best I can.
  14. Yeah let’s just ignore all of the evidence that shows that those with higher LDLs tend to out live those with low LDL. I stick with treating my heart with food.
  15. The good doctor is just flat wrong on this one. Eating dairy does not mean you aren’t carnivore. Anyone who thinks that doesn’t understand carnivore and knows little to nothing about the animal kingdom.
  16. Why do you think it’s zig zagging like that?
  17. I hear you Jamie. I find it disgusting since I learned the truth. There is a movement afoot out there and we have at least one advocate in Washington on our side but I’m afraid that there is just too much money on their side to do much damage to them. The best we can do is get the word out and fight them with our wallets. Our Thanksgiving turkey was deep fried but we used lard. It’s definitely better than peanut oil.
  18. Glad you had a good thanksgiving. I stayed zero carb. It’s so ingrained in me that it’s not even a challenge. It also helps that my daughter has developed a carnivore cheesecake for me.
  19. As soon as I was enlightened and found out the truth about statins I got off of them. It drives my PCP nuts but I’m switching to a new doctor so I’ll see what kind of talks we get into about the subject.
  20. Hey Carb, good to see you posting again.
  21. That’s great Paul. Congratulations.
  22. Welcome and make sure to let us know how the schooling goes. Lol.
