  1. I find this to be fascinating. I don’t know very much about diabetes and I don’t know anyone who is treating it with carnivore so you are our own case study. Keep up the good work Paul.
  2. I hope it gets and stays where you need it to be Paul.
  3. Fortunately I’ve never had gout but my son has. I feel for anyone who gets it.
  4. I’m still hibernating. 🥶
  5. Add to that all of the fruit and grains but they won’t mention that. I sent that article to my SIL who was a big Coke drinker and is now dealing with some liver issues including fatty liver. He has quit drinking cokes but this can help him get a better understanding of the why of it.
  6. Tools are worthless without the strength to use them. Or way of eating gives us the strength to make the best use from the tools you mentioned.
  7. 17° and 2” of sleet on the ground this morning. 🥶 Y’all need to come get your winter and take back up there. It ain’t welcome down here.
  8. It’s a good start but I’m skeptical that anything will change much. I’m afraid that big food has too big an influence in politics. I hope I’m wrong.
  9. You are exactly right Paul. Like I said on the livestream the other night, I hate these blankets statements from those in our community. I’m one of the fortunate ones that has been able to get off of all my medications and I wish everyone could but it’s just not a reality for everyone. Many people come to carnivore thinking that it’s some kind of miracle cure that will fix everything in them but the reality is, carnivore won’t cure anything. Carnivore heals our metabolism which allows our bodies to start healing itself as God intended. Unfortunately, sometimes our bodies are just too broken to heal.
  10. Good video. I make my own tallow but not my own lard. We use tallow nearly everyday.
  11. Maybe…maybe not but it sure seems like it does.
  12. It’s not a big deal in my opinion. It’s natural for those eating a high fat and protein diet to have higher cholesterol numbers simply because we are using fat for energy so we need that fat running through our veins. What important is Triglycerides to HDL ratio and yours if fantastic. If you are really that concerned then go get a CAC score done and or a complete lipid profile done that includes looking at the size of your LDL particles.
  13. While I’m not against this I don’t believe it will have any effect nor will it “prevent around 20,000 cases of childhood obesity”. Removing cigarette commercials didn’t stop smoking. It’s up to parents to parent their child. It’s not the government’s responsibility. "Train up a child in the way he should go, Even when he is old he will not depart from it. Proverbs 22. Parents are responsible for teaching their children in all things for living a fruitful life. That includes eating properly. But even with that being said they will do what they want to do once they become adults. All you can do is lay the foundation. My children were not raised drinking cokes. We never had them in the house except for very rare occasions such as a big bbq. But once my son started working and earning I’m his own money he became addicted to them things. He eventually came back to his foundation though.
  14. That’s a good question Scott. I’m not really sure I have an answer for you. I have noticed a difference between rendering suet vs fat trimmings in how it renders down. The trimmings leave a more edible fat bit or crispy whereas the suet tends to be mushy and falls apart. I didn’t notice any difference in the liquid fat or how it cooks. It can take a long time to render most of the liquid fat out of the solid so depending on how long you rendered it may have been a factor. I keep my temps around 200° give or take and continue simmering it until the solids turn brown (which suet doesn’t seem to do) then is strain it through a metal strainer lined with paper towels and I press it to get all of the oil out of it I can.
  15. Not much really. Some dumbbell workouts 2 or 3 times a week with a few body exercises and a long walk occasionally. I used to walk every other day but I’m just too busy these days building up my farm. That’s the main part of my exercise these days, just working on the farm all day. This cold weather has given me a little bit of a break lately.
  16. I subscribe to a lot of carnivore channels and it funny or maybe sad how the algorithm is always showing me weight loss drug advertisements or diabetes medication advertisements.
  17. “Uneasy lies the head that wears a crown” From King Henry IV, by Shakespeare
  18. Haha. Oh you gotta turn in your carnivore card and take 20 lashes with a wet noodle. As long as it doesn’t create a craving in you or any kind of health setbacks it’s no big deal. Heck, I have a jalapeno about once a month a last month I ate some sauerkraut. Doesn’t cause me any issues.
  19. I’m not sure what you are trying to say here Paul.
  20. Your situation can be unique. Once I started carnivore I was amazed that I could eat as much as my body desired and I still lost weight and inches. I never had to restrict food but was actually able to increase how much I ate. Once I learned that it isn’t how much we eat but what we eat and what our body does with it that matters it all started making sense to me. I hope you find the combination that works for you Paul.
