I read it may not be best to loose to much weight to soon.  And since I started carnivore I've been dropping a lot more than 8 lbs per week. So I believe I need to add some healthy carb packed foods to my diet. So the second part of this question is what would be some good foods to add?  thanks a lot.

I am a newbie to the group but saw your post.  8lb per week seems like it may be a lot for some but I think it depends on how much you started with and how many weeks you have been losing 8lb.  As for the carbs; I have opinions but I am too new to a proper human diet and total carb elimination to make suggestions.  I look forward to seeing what others have to share.

And what makes you think that may not be best?
You are in a whole different world now. If you are judging yourself against what the rest of the world thinks or does then stop that. Everyone else eats a SAD lifestyle so you cannot be judged against them. Same with your blood tests. You can’t be held to the same standards as them.
Odds are the majority of the weight you are losing in the beginning is water weight. Because you have no fiber in your diet there is nothing to store the water in your system so it’s just natural that it will be expelled more frequently than if you were eating SAD
It’s at these times when you need to make sure you are not loosing too many electrolytes in the process.
I wouldn’t concern myself with the weight loss but just enjoy it. You will hit a plateau soon enough and then you’ll be wondering what happened. Just enjoy the ride and don’t overthink it.
In my opinion the absolute worst thing you can do is add carbs back in to your diet unless you have some medical condition that needs to be addressed but for the life of me I can’t think of one.
Don’t look for a reason to go backwards but always try to be moving forward.

well,  i have slightly elevated atl results. so first i found out what that was, which is most likely from a fatty liver. so i snooped around and heard one person mention that loosing to much fat to rapidly (more than 2.2. lbs per week)  will cause you liver to replace that fat with (something i can't remember) that is not good.  Im all ears and thanks

Geezy is spot on.

I averaged a pound a day for the first 31-32 days. It may stall on one day and then drop two the next but the average was a pound a day for a little better than a month. A big portion of that was water weight and in time as I became fat adaptive the fat loss was evident in the mirror as well as the scale.

Depending on you as an individual at some point you will plane off, some call it a stall, and then the fall will be slower, mostly depending on you and your lifestyle.

I would not add carbs just to off-set weight loss. I'm just shy of 9 months in and I have lost 88 pounds. Around 75 or so I started to look sickly. I started eating like a horse and the weight continues to fall. This way of eating can get you a lot closer to your ideal bodyweight. I'm lifting with more frequency and more volume as of late and I'm eating like a horse. I have slowed the weight loss but it still continues with gradual weight loss.

Best of luck and I would not re-add carbs at this point (just my opinion).

That would be like fifty cent holding up a dollar.

All depends on you, your diet, your lifestyle, etc.

I weighed 306 on May 8th, 2024. I dropped an average of a pound a day the first 31-32 days. It tailed off and now I have lost 88lbs, about a week shy of 9 months. I think I have lost too much weight based on what I see in the mirror. I look somewhat sickly. I'm lifting a lot and eating a lot but I'm hanging around the 84-86 pound mark, fluctuating daily. I'm not sure I could eat much more during the day as of late I am fighting loose stools and I feel like it is because I'm eating more than I should.

It is like the more I eat and the more I work out the more fat I am using for energy, the weight continued to fall until I started eating like a crazy person.

I can only guess your end number will be as individual as you and me.

I don’t know what “atl” is so please explain.
The rest of what you said is news to me. I’ve heard no carnivore doctors say anything like this. I suppose it’s possible but with no one talking about it, it may be rare.
There is no doubt that carnivore will cure or reverse fatty liver so I wouldn’t hesitate to continue eating carnivore without actually being diagnosed with something that hinder your results.

so after the first month your weight lose started to tail off.  hmm interesting.  Im 30 lbs overweight and  Im concerned what happens once  i lose the 30 lbs?

Oh it’s terrible the things you’ll experience. Things like feeling better than you have in years or even decades. The out of pocket expenses of having to buy new clothes. The constant harassment of people complementing you on how good you look and asking how you did it.
Then the increased energy and being more productive, such a hard thing to deal with.
Oh man, there are so many downsides to eating this way and becoming healthy that they are just too numerous to list. 🤣🤣🤣

so you're 220 lbs and how tall?  What do you mean look sickly?

6'3".

When someone is actually sick and loses a lot of weight over a short period of time. I'm not sick but going from 306 to 220 in less than 9 months leans in that direction.

sorry ALT  is a enzyme produced by a damaged liver and released in the blood.  Ill try to find that video where it was mentioned.  I figure if even partially true, why not play it safe.

Yes, try to find that video, I’d be interested in hearing about this.
I understand about playing safe but I always try to find out what the common sense truth is before I make any decisions. Generally one man or one video isn’t enough proof for me to go on.
It’s kinda like the whole cholesterol myth. I could play it safe based off of what so many in the medical community say but I’ve studied the real truth and I’m not the least bit concerned about my supposed high cholesterol.
Also, since I’ve ridden a motorcycle most of my life it’s not in my nature to play it safe.
