I think 100+ years ago people just stunk a lot more. If you read books about romance from hundreds of years ago they purposely did not shower their scalps because it contained potent attractants

This is true but as I stated before when we only eat fat and meat it changes our or bodies smell. I’m not saying that we won’t stink at all given enough time but it is amazing that our odor completely changes. If I forget to put on deodorant for the day it’s no big deal. No BO but I wouldn’t go any longer than that. Lol.
Now tomorrow with be the end of my two week experiment with just rinsing my hair under water a massaging my scalp and so far it’s been a surprising success. My hair is not greasy at all. It’s soft and looks clean. My scalp feels great and has no smell whatsoever.
I’ll wash it tomorrow but I may try for three weeks next time.
I just wonder if my water could be making a difference? I’m on a well and I have a soft water system. I’d be curious to hear the results from someone who is on city water ghats not filtered or soft.

Nah man you got to clean the hair scalp

Am I right?

I’ve said it before in this forum

you DO NOT need deodorant. Nobody does!!

the scalp is a different story

but like I said, old books tell how people would not wash their bodies and hair in order to keep pheromones so they can turn on their lovers

if they would be away for extended periods of time they would write love letter home telling their husbands or wives that they would not shower until seeing them again

to preserve the scents

But today we find this disgusting

Maybe so but it hasn’t been my experience so far. My two weeks is up today so I will be washing my hair to tonight.
Again, I wonder if the type of water makes any difference.
I also wonder if the length of the hair matters too. I keep my hair fairly short.

It’s too bad you two give explanations of keeping your hair a breeding ground for bacteria

you just praise the practice with zero evidence and just blind nonsense

yeah people might believe you

Zero evidence? Lol. Our own experience is our evidence.

Provide evidence of your theory about never washing hair

There’s something about it I’m not understanding

Ok… I can visualize just showering 1-2 times per day with just water and a hand rag to scrub things clean. it can work if it’s a 6-10 minute shower of washing with water

people who just eat meat need real specifics

there’s no such thing as Just taking a shower

…….you scalp is going to harbor bacteria and scents building up..,,

I think it's a personal preference, no more, no less.

I do agree, nobody needs deodorant. But once you start using it, it's become habitual.

Well I can’t provide any evidence other that my own hair. I’ve never said anything about “never” washing my hair. I’ve just gone one week and then two weeks and it’s been just fine. I suppose if I never washed it you might be right but I don’t intend to do that. I’ve just been experimenting and I’ve found that it isn’t necessary for me to wash my hair everyday like I used to. Now if I’m working out in the heat all day or cleaning and leveling horse stalls in the dusty barn you can bet I’ll be washing my hair regardless of the last time I washed it.

    • "Marching into March with Much Motivation"

For this months challenge, we are going to support each other in our efforts to get up and move. Spring is in the air. The weather is getting better. Get out there and MOVE! Go for walks, hike some trails if they aren't too muddy. Or just make a goal to get on the treadmill or lift some weights more than usual throughout the month. Get in the habit now, and we just might have beach bodies when summer officially hits, lol.

Just like before, we encourage you to check in daily, and share what you have eaten, perhaps a weigh-in if you're willing, and enjoy in some small talk.

The March drawing will be for a 4-pack of Carnivore Bars!

Every Reply in this topic will count as an entry for this month's prize drawing. Back-to-back posts count as 1 entry as a counter to spamming.

Attending Monday night zoom also counts as a bonus entry. Being a supporter of our YouTube channel also gives you an entry.

    • Today is February 1st and marks the first day of "National Fasting February" - and yes, this is a thing. Google it!

For this month's challenge, we are going to support each other in our efforts to practice various forms of fasting throughout the month. The type of fasting you wish to do is entirely up to you. We are going to encourage INTERMITTENT FASTING, that is to put it simply, skipping a meal so that you are only eating 2 meals a day instead of the traditional 3 meals a day. The goal is to enjoy these meals within an 8 hour "feasting window" and then no food in the remaining 16 hours "fasting window" (in which 8 of those hours you should be sleeping).

An example is waking up at 7am, but waiting until 11am-noon for your first meal, and then having dinner at 6-7pm for your 2nd meal. Other people prefer to eat a breakfast, then a mid-day lunch, and skip dinner.

If you want to throw in a 24, 48, or 72 hour fast just to show off by all mean do so, lol.
