Yep. Terry turned me onto the article. I have since read it twice.

From the outside looking in, and I am on the inside as well, it makes a lot of sense. When I cleaned up my diet my gut got healthier. From there the symptoms-issues of NMO/SD pretty much went away.

I had blood markers that indicated my immune system was dormant when it should be active and attacking healthy protein like a sociopath when it should be only active when needed. The blood work indicated I had issues, and I indeed had issues.

Again, the carnivore diet didn't help those issues because all I was eating was fats and proteins. The carnivore diet helped me because of all the things I stopped eating, which in turn allowed the fats and proteins to their thing while my body healed itself.

My day to day says these are facts. The bloodwork suggests the same. As they dig deeper going carnivore will make more sense, but the MS/NMO medical community is still steering clear of it being a viable option for their patients.

My Neurologist said in so many words that he was not ready to prescribe the carnivore diet as treatment but based on what he sees in me he does wish some of his patients would follow my path. I feel like he is getting there and maybe in time he will become an advocate.

Hopefully, I can keep showing him. LOL

If your neurologist is employed by a clinic or health organization then they will have a "standard of care" that their employees (your doctor) are required to follow, and I would bet that a carnivore diet is not included in that standard of care. They could be in trouble if they venture outside of their guidelines.

My personal results so far with "MS vs CARNIVORE" have been excellent. I've noticed my best results and no noticeable or visible symptoms in the last year after 1444 days of carny. It will be 4 years total on August 15th. I'm having a meat party to celebrate 🤣

Congrats. Party on. I’m in pretty much the same boat at 15 months.
