  1. I’m so glad and humbled that I had an impact with you Jack. While our heart conditions are different from each other there’s no doubt in my mind that carnivore can help you. The biggest factor, according to my cardiologist, is reducing the inflammation in the body especially in the chest. Staying as pure as possible carnivore is your best bet for optimal health. Welcome to carnivore talk Jack. Sent from my iPhone using Tapatalk
  2. I love anchovies. Never thought about putting them with eggs before. I might have to try that. Sent from my iPhone using Tapatalk
  3. It was a great interview Bob. Sent from my iPhone using Tapatalk
  4. The description of pigs being dirty has two origins. The first is yes due to how they live because they love to waller in mud. They do that so they don’t sunburn. The second is due to what they eat. They will eat anything including each other. Some people are grossed out by what pigs will eat. Same can be said of chickens. Being monogastric animals they are what they eat so to speak. I eat a lot of wild pork and it’s good stuff but I know a lot of hunters that won’t touch them. Sent from my iPhone using Tapatalk
  5. Had a good walk with my neighbor today. I took it easy on him today since he’s just starting out but we had a good talk about nutrition. Tomorrow it’s weight day for me. Sent from my iPhone using Tapatalk
  6. 11 B here. We humped it until we became mechanized infantry. We get to go get shot at quicker that way. [emoji15][emoji16] Sent from my iPhone using Tapatalk
  7. Ate twice today. First meal was 2/3rds pound of hamburger and four eggs. Second meal was some ahi tuna salad and pork rinds. Sent from my iPhone using Tapatalk
  8. I was watching a video today from Max German and his little trick to get help him drop a few and get shredded is to go what he calls fat cycling. He eats three meals a day. The first meal is his normal high fat to protein ratio. The second meal is moderate fat and his last meal is very low fat and mostly protein. That is known as your optimal weight. It is believed that if you just eat a proper diet then the body will eventually settle into its optimal weight.

  11. I took the weekend off. Needed to recover but I’m motivated to get to walking tomorrow. When my wife and I were walking one of my neighbors stop us to talk and he’s interested in starting carnivore and asked if he could start walking with us. I’m excited about that. 12. You need to write up a recipe and post it in our recipe section. I want to try that. Sent from my iPhone using Tapatalk
  13. Totally agree. It’s also great for back pain believe it or not. Sent from my iPhone using Tapatalk
  14. Ain’t nothing wrong with making your own pork rinds or cracklins. If fact it is better in my opinion because you know for sure what you are getting. I make my own bacon and sometimes I’ll buy a whole pork belly slab with the skin still attached. I’ll trim that skin off and make my own cracklins. Good stuff. Sent from my iPhone using Tapatalk
  15. LMNT is good if you use the plain and not the sweetened. Another good one is KetoChow. Making your own is the best way as you know what you are getting. Now question why you think you need to supplement electrolytes? In the beginning of carnivore we do flush out more fluids and thus electrolytes but in time that can self regulate. Many people jump on the electrolyte bandwagon because everyone else is doing it but it’s easy to over do it. For example I was using an electrolyte mix and after a year on carnivore I had a blood test done as part of my routine exam. It showed that my potassium levels were in dangerously high territory and could stop my heart if I didn’t quit the supplement. This is really not good for someone with a heart condition. My advice would be to make sure you need them before you waste money on them or put your health in danger. My most recent blood tests show that I’m getting all I need from my diet. The only thing I do use is salt because my blood work does show that I’m in the bottom range of sodium. Now if you are experiencing muscle cramps, trouble sleeping, issues with bowels etc, then electrolytes can be very helpful. Vitamins fall into the same category. Do you really need them or are you just following the trend? Most vitamins are not very absorbable and are generally a waste of money. Eating a pure carnivore diet is the most nutrient dense way of eating and as such you should be getting most of everything you need from your meat. The exception may be vitamins D which of course we get from the sun. Speaking of salt. Try to avoid table salt as most of it has sugar in it. I’ve have been a carnivore now for over a year and a half and by getting a blood test every six months I’ve come to trust my diet and the results it’s producing rather than listening to what “everyone else” is doing. If you think it’s helping you then do what you feel is necessary but if budget is an issue then just focusing on your diet may be all you need. Sent from my iPhone using Tapatalk
  16. No carnivore police around here and definitely no judgement. Will it spoil the magic? Probably not in small quantities. It’s definitely not carnivore but it would be considered ketovore or keto depending on how many carbohydrates you are consuming. Many people do great just eating a keto diet and are able to maintain a state of ketosis and still reap many of the benefits we get from carnivore. The big difference is when those who eat keto just can’t get over a stall or some physical condition that can’t be overcome they find that eating a pure carnivore diet will help them. I have found that the longer I’m carnivore the more I enjoy the natural taste in the meats I eat. I’ve also come to the conclusion that I eat for fuel and not pleasure so that makes a big difference in my mindset and how I approach food. If something does not provide nutrition for my body then I figure why eat it. Enjoyed the onions and what ever else you use as long as there are no adverse effects. But if you encounter problems then that would be the first place to look. Sent from my iPhone using Tapatalk
  17. That could be a possibility. Our body’s can think they are in starvation mode and slow down. It is widely believed that increasing our fat intake can help. Personally I’m not of fan of trying tricks to kickstart weight loss. I believe in just letting the body do its thing naturally. After all, you are losing weight so what’s the rush? If you are eating properly the just let it ride. This is a marathon, not a race. Now that’s just how I feel about it and what’s good for me may not be what’s best for thee. Have you tried a long fast? I’ve seen where that has turned on something in some people to get things moving in the right direction. Another thing I just thought of is Priming. Have you heard of that? Check out Bella’s video on it and see if it might appeal to you. Sent from my iPhone using Tapatalk
  18. That can certainly happen. It happens to many of us. In my case it’s part attitude and part necessity. My attitude is that I don’t want anything in my body that doesn’t provide nutrition and fuel for it. In my mind it’s just a waste of time and stomach space to put fillers in it when I could put real food in it. The necessity part comes in because after abstaining from the poisonous non food items my body has lost the tolerance it once had and now those things will cause me to feel sick or cause inflammation. I don’t miss any of those items.
  19. I’m just of the mindset that if it does not provide any nutrition for my body then I don’t need to eat it. I eat for fuel and not pleasure. That’s just me though and I judge no one for how they eat. I tried a glass of wine when I was about nine months into carnivore and my stomach was upset for several days. I have no desire to put anything in my body that it wants to reject. I find it amazing how much my body has changed and how sensitive it is to the poisons it used to tolerate. 20. That’s too bad about the bear. My bear, what little I got to eat, was pretty good but it was fresh within a couple of hours of being killed. It’s nice that you feel that it’s rude to not eat what’s been served but I don’t see my health as being a breach of etiquette. If I had an allergy to shellfish and my host served shrimp it wouldn’t be rude to politely decline something that would harm you. I feel that way about my health. Sent from my iPhone using Tapatalk
  21. There is an app called carb manager that is very popular. Sent from my iPhone using Tapatalk

  23. I just hope it’s more user friendly for me. I like Tapatalk because it’s so easy to use and all of the posted I’m subscribed to show up as unread and are posted for me to see in the unread column. With the web version it doesn’t always show me what’s unread and I miss a lot of posts. The advantage of the web version is I can do more things on it that I can’t do on Tapatalk such as muti quotes. 24. I agree. It’s poison in more ways than one. Sent from my iPhone using Tapatalk
