Hasn’t been my experience so far but I only go a week or two without washing it with soap. No denial here. I can guarantee that if my head was stinky my wife wouldn’t hesitate to tell me. lol. One of the great benefits of carnivore that many aren’t aware of is that eating a diet free of carbohydrates and the poisonous highly processed foods our body’s bacteria changes and we don’t stink like we used to. It’s been a game changer for me. The fewer chemicals we put on our bodies the better for our health. Sent from my iPhone using Tapatalk -
We generally go to a nice steak house at least once a year. I don’t know what you have up there but down here Del Frisco’s Double Eagle Steakhouse is always top notch and then I have a really nice one in my small town. My absolute favorite though is Texas de Brazil which is a Brazilian steak house. All meat all the time as much as you want and cooked to perfection over an open fire. It doesn’t matter whether I’m at a cafe in town or the fanciest restaurant in town I’ve never had any of them try to push the sides on me. At the most the server might ask what sides I want but they have never tried to push them on me. When the server comes to take my order I simply order my steak rare and say no sides please. Most times the server just repeats my order back to me and then moves on to the next order. Occasionally they will ask are you sure you don’t want anything else but they never try to push anything on me. It no big deal to just order what you want and just say no to those things you don’t want. Sent from my iPhone using Tapatalk

Carnivore diet and dating
Geezy replied to Idunno's topic in Carnivore, Ketovore, Keto, & Low-Carb Support
Take that idea and run with it. Become the next Zuckerberg. I would imagine it’s tough these days if you’re young, fairly heathy and dating but I don’t see why that would interfere with eating properly. I go out to eat pretty regularly and have zero problems eating carnivore and how I eat has never been an issue with anyone in with. For me it’s all about my commitment to my health. No woman is worth wrecking my health over. Not even my wife tells me how to eat. Even if you do feel pressured to eat off plan you don’t have to go overboard. Like John said eat keto. Early man got most of his minerals from drinking from flowing streams but today all of our water is filtered so we have to supplement. Sodium is an essential mineral and we used to follow the animals to find the salt licks as they would travel for miles to get salt. Before refrigeration we heavily salted our foods to preserve them. Now in modern times our processed foods are loaded with sodium. So throughout the ages man has always obtained sodium. It’s rather instinctive for us to want it. Our issue today as carnivores is that sodium excretion is faster on carnivore, because reducing insulin allows the kidneys to return to their normal rate of excretion, so we advise increasing salt intake a bit on carnivore. Since we are no longer eating those processed foods anymore and flushing our fluids out at a higher rate we get deficient. A couple of recent studies have documented that the healthiest sodium intake is 4-6 g/day, which translates to 10-15 g/day of table salt, including the salt already present in our food. During the zoom meaning the other night I mentioned that I was going to the doctor because I had a hard knot on my throat under my jaw. So after X-rays with imaging it turns out to be an “acute inflamed salivary gland”. I wonder why that happened? Anyways, the doc ran some blood tests and the only bad markers involved the infection going on in my system. Everything else looked good just as it should be as carnivore. The xray also showed a nodule on one of my lungs but since I don’t have a history with cancer he’s not worried about it. Although I haven’t had an official diagnosis of prostrate cancer I am being monitored for it but I guess that doesn’t count. Sent from my iPhone using Tapatalk

That is what I do as well. I started to just wash my hair just once a week but now I’m going two weeks. My hair is doing great. Never looks oily and looks good. That’s what I’m using now. I ran out last week and so I used some of my old toothpaste and it was horrible and burned. I have forgotten deodorant a couple of times and I’ve been really surprised that I didn’t smell like a goat so I experimented for three days am I could detect a little odor but not much. I don’t use a chemical laden deodorant but instead a natural deodorant and it works well for me. -
Yeah… I don’t know. I suppose the vinegar could have something to do with that but otherwise it’s just dried meat.

You are exactly right. We can only speak from our own experience and what we’ve read of other’s experiences. We are all on individual paths no doubt. Sent from my iPhone using Tapatalk -

It may or may not. I know I certainly feel like I will live longer just because I feel so much better than I did over 650 days ago. I think being metabolically healthier can extend your life just as being metabolically sick can end it early. We see that in today’s society all of the time. It has been said that man has the genetic disposition to live 120 years yet none of us do. Why not? Well maybe it’s because we eat foods that wreak havoc on our metabolism. But in reality none of us can know for sure because we can’t live our lives twice to test the theory. I do agree that feeling better in our end days is a great plus. Unless you canned it like you do jam or something I wouldn’t think it’s shelf stable. I will keep one jar out on the countertop next to the stove because we use it everyday for cooking. One jar stays in the refrigerator for when the one jar runs out and the rest are kept in the freezer. I’ve read that it’s best to be kept refrigerated or in the freezer for long term storage. Fat will go rancid if kept unrefrigerated too long but I have no idea when that timeline is. One jar gets used in a few weeks to a month. Sent from my iPhone using Tapatalk

Most of us do some spices occasionally and it’s no big deal as long as your body tolerates them. Some people react to some seasonings and spices. When I first went Carni I was very strict with everything because I needed to heal my metabolism so I only used salt and white pepper. I found that the longer I went without the seasonings and the longer I ate carnivore the better my food started tasting. After a year I started using some seasonings but on a limited basis but for the most part all I really want these days is just salt. Sent from my iPhone using Tapatalk

Agreed. I’ve seen this guy and if he can go that long without a shower then I’m pretty shut he doesn’t work for a living or has a farm. [emoji1787] Sent from my iPhone using Tapatalk -
I get what you’re saying but in Genesis I find nothing where God sanctioned the eating of animals until after the flood. After the creation of man and land animals on day six of the Creation week, God instructed Adam saying, “I have given you every herb that yields seed which is on the face of all the earth, and every tree whose fruit yields seed; to you it shall be for food” (Genesis 1:29). There is no record of God telling Adam and Eve that they could butcher cows or smoke chickens, but He did authorize them to eat the seeds and fruits of plants and trees. In the very next chapter of Genesis, it is recorded where God told Adam that he could eat “of every tree of the garden” (except the tree of the knowledge of good and evil—2:16-17). Notice that nothing is said here about animals—only vegetation. Then again, in Genesis 3, when God sentenced Adam and Eve to a life outside of the Garden of Eden, He said: “And you shall eat the herb of the field. In the sweat of your face you shall eat bread till you return to the ground” (3:18-19). Three times in the first three chapters of the Bible, God instructed man regarding his diet. Each time, the Bible records only where God permitted man to eat vegetation (some of which could be made into bread—3:19). The Bible nowhere mentions man receiving permission from God to eat any kind of animal until after the Flood. It was then that God said: And the fear of you and the dread of you shall be on every beast of the earth, on every bird of the air, on all that move on the earth, and on all the fish of the sea. They are given into your hand. Every moving thing that lives shall be food for you. I have given you all things, even as the green herbs (Genesis 9:1-3, emp. added). Just as God had authorized mankind to eat “green herbs” many centuries earlier, after the Flood, God gave His permission for mankind to eat “all things”—including all animals that move on the Earth and swim in the sea. I never tried that with bacon and I can see where liver would definitely stink up the place. I don’t think the bacon smell would bother me though. [emoji39] Sent from my iPhone using Tapatalk

It’s all about progress not perfection. Taking small steps will still get you there. Eliminating the grains is a good first step and I don’t know if I’d call it so much cheating as just taking a break. After all you are eating whole foods and not junk so that ain’t bad. There may come a time when you decide that those foods provide no nutritional benefit to you and decide to stop but until then do what works best for you. Sent from my iPhone using Tapatalk

Dr. Paul Saradino and Carnivore
Geezy replied to Mesa_John's topic in Carnivore, Ketovore, Keto, & Low-Carb Support
He actually did this a long time ago. I subscribe to him and get emails from him regularly. He no longer called himself carnivore but instead meat based. And he’s right, he’s not carnivore but many of his carnivore principles are sound. The difference between what you have experienced and what Salidino experienced was the time frame. Paul had been carnivore for a long time whereas you have only been doing this for a short time. What you were experiencing was what most of us go through in the beginning. Many call it keto flu or the adaptation phase and it’s perfectly normal as our bodies adjust but once we become fat adapted things generally level off. Unfortunately a lot of people experience those issues in the beginning and quit because they just don’t understand that the body must adapt. I like Paul but I think he’s off base in telling people that they all need to eat the way he does. Everyone is different and processes Their food differently so what works for him won’t work for everyone, especially me. No way I could eat like he does. Pure carnivore works great for me and I won’t be changing anytime soon.

Why Keto & Carnivore?
We believe that a proper, all natural human diet should be meat-based, whether that's a keto, ketovore, or carnivore lifestyle. You will thrive on most nutrient dense foods on the planet, lose weight, and possibly reverse disease and chronic illnesses, so why not give this a try?
