I planned the fast for these three nights. I am not sure how long it will las this time. I have been eating like a horse as of late and I think my body was getting use to the 'extra'.

I had a pretty good lift this morning and skipped the breakfast meal I have had for the last several weeks. My meal at lunch today was six eggs.

8 hours in and my blood sugar is at 70. I started today at 222lbs which is up 8 in the last two weeks but still 84 down from last May.

Totally bummed that my ketone meter did not arrive in time. I went to several places in town and none were available.

Not knocking on the pharmacist but she assured me the strips provided me with all the information I needed. Sometimes we can choose our battles. Today I chose not to educate someone with more education than me. Maybe another day.

8 hours deep and I won't say I am hungry, but I will say I know I didn't eat three times today. (if that makes any sense at all).

The crash at 71 hours I still don't understand. Then the next one just afterwards I had super levels of energy for four or five days afterwards.  I still wish the ketone meter had come in this ti

  • I always say fasting is like magic. I normally sleep 8-9 hours but when in a fasted state 6 hours sleep is about all I need and then it's time to wakey-wakey. I would agree on the mental clarity also.

Salt, not slat in the above post. About 69 hours deep in the fast and I feel really good. Night shift went off with plenty of energy and this morning I hit the gym on the way home. I started feel

That is incredible news. Congratulations.

I go back in mid April and again mid-May for bloodwork for my AQ-4 and immunoglobulin numbers. Prior to carnivore I was way low on one and way high on another. In the last 9 months they have both eased back toward the norm. I'm hoping in the next couple months I am in the 'green". LOL

Again, great to hear your success. "getting off medicine" or "not having to be on medicine" is absolutely priceless.

Here's one thought on IF.

Recently I was diagnosed with IBD, I was in a bad way, 16 really unpleasant, rushed visits to the smallest room. This was something I'd had on and off for many years. Anyway, I had to do something and refused the meds, so I thought I'd give my guts a rest, let them heal was my thought, seemed logical.

I did a 3 day fast, that was 2 months ago, I've just had my results back from a calprotectin test (the marker for IBD) and my doctor can find zero evidence of IBD, she's in shock! my calprotectin score was 6 mg/g, she said that's about the best score she's seen in anyone. I'll be doing this 3 day fast once every month.

Congratulations Peter, You found the magic answer to most of life's health problems. I bet your energy level was good during the fast also? I'm fasting every week now from 24 -72 hours or more. It helps the food and toilet paper bills also 😀

Congratulations Peter.

Carnivore cured not only my IBS that I had suffered with for over 30 years but also Crohn’s disease.
It’s amazing how just eating a proper human diet will allow our bodies to function as they were ment to.
