I’m so happy I started this journey!  I have been on beef, bacon, butter, and eggs, with occasional chicken or pork. I started at 209 lbs and weighed 175 today. I’m continuing, but going to Ketovore for a little variety. I don’t post a lot on here, but I do read a fair amount. I’d like to thank you guys for the encouragement along the way.  It’s going to be fun to go back to NY (in fl for the winter) since I haven’t told anyone there what I’ve been doing 🙂

Good job Thomas. It was great meeting you tonight. Hope to see more of you on the Zoom calls.

Yeah, I do the same sometimes, it all depends on your issues, in my case thats IBD so any plant material is a risk. Some guys won't even grate a little pepper. Hard to know where to draw the line. I'd hate to give up coffee and that's plant material right? ..... but thats a whole topic on it's own.

Thanks for the response. I’ve actually changed my mind on going Ketovore for the time being. Last night I was given what I believe was some solid advice on sticking with carnivore until my weight goals are met.  I’m pretty close.

Congratulations on the weight loss so far. Carnivore gets easier as you go, at least that is what I found. I still have the rare keto treat, but not very often and never anything worse than a keto level.

It really boils down to what the body can tolerate or what your mindset is.
Many people will reintroduce certain things one at a time to see how it affects them. If there’s a change then they know it’s forever banned but if their body doesn’t react then they can keep it.  My only indulgence is jalapenos. I love jalapeno poppers and will eat a few a couple of times a year. They don’t bother me but I don’t eat them very often either. I’ve also reintroduced some seasonings but again , sparingly.
For me it’s all about the mindset. I’m 99% pure because I came from a really bad place and have no desire to ever go back there again. I want nothing but nutritious food going into my body. I don’t see the point of eating something that my body doesn’t need on a regular basis.
We all have different physiology’s with different needs so we have to follow our own path in this journey.

Hey Tom, nice job on the 90 days.  You are through the initial tough phase of cravings, and well on to where you are seeing many benefits!  Most excellent.

Ill tell ya, nothing makes me smile quite as much as someone walking into my shop that I havent seen in a while, and they look at me and say "dang!  You lost a good bit of weight!"

I dont get to Florida much, but sounds like you may be headed up my way soon.  Stop in and say howdy if you go through Oneonta!

I’m flying into Plattsburgh on the 19th, so I won’t be going through. Another time perhaps!

I have zero desire for any vegetable. I realize I only enjoyed salads because of the dressing. I stupidly ate three pieces of breaded deep fried chicken tenders on Sunday and couldn't work up the energy to work out on Monday. So lessen learned. Congrats, keep going Outdoorstom!

While digging in the freezer today I found a bag of frozen veggies from many years ago. Those are now at the bottom of our compost pit 😆

    • "Marching into March with Much Motivation"

For this months challenge, we are going to support each other in our efforts to get up and move. Spring is in the air. The weather is getting better. Get out there and MOVE! Go for walks, hike some trails if they aren't too muddy. Or just make a goal to get on the treadmill or lift some weights more than usual throughout the month. Get in the habit now, and we just might have beach bodies when summer officially hits, lol.

Just like before, we encourage you to check in daily, and share what you have eaten, perhaps a weigh-in if you're willing, and enjoy in some small talk.

The March drawing will be for a 4-pack of Carnivore Bars!

Every Reply in this topic will count as an entry for this month's prize drawing. Back-to-back posts count as 1 entry as a counter to spamming.

Attending Monday night zoom also counts as a bonus entry. Being a supporter of our YouTube channel also gives you an entry.

    • Today is February 1st and marks the first day of "National Fasting February" - and yes, this is a thing. Google it!

For this month's challenge, we are going to support each other in our efforts to practice various forms of fasting throughout the month. The type of fasting you wish to do is entirely up to you. We are going to encourage INTERMITTENT FASTING, that is to put it simply, skipping a meal so that you are only eating 2 meals a day instead of the traditional 3 meals a day. The goal is to enjoy these meals within an 8 hour "feasting window" and then no food in the remaining 16 hours "fasting window" (in which 8 of those hours you should be sleeping).

An example is waking up at 7am, but waiting until 11am-noon for your first meal, and then having dinner at 6-7pm for your 2nd meal. Other people prefer to eat a breakfast, then a mid-day lunch, and skip dinner.

If you want to throw in a 24, 48, or 72 hour fast just to show off by all mean do so, lol.
