Nice video.

I posted on another thread but I (as she put it) grazed all weekend, from Wednesday til Sunday. I fully expected some weight gain as I ate a lot, and I ate often. My pork and chicken cuts were not fatty at all, but I did eat chunks of butter here and there.

I hopped on the scale Sunday evening expecting to have a data point showing if I eat continually thru the day for several days in a row I will gain weight. Instead, I dropped two pounds.

I would not recommend this as a path forward for anyone, but it might serve as another example why carnivore will not provide cookie cutter results for everyone. The first key is that it is an elimination diet. It is more important to not eat the carbs and sugars and such. Secondly if the fat content is up anywhere close to where it should be my body will respond in a positive manner.

I like the videos because it is simplistic in approach but offers volumes in information/approach, even touching on the fact we are not all the same.

I think sometimes the individuality gets lost in expectations.

I hear you Scott. I had a guy on another forum that was a CICO advocate and we had a discussion about that because I don’t believe in the calorie model. I believe it’s about what you eat and not calories. Well he challenged me to increase my “calorie” intake so I did. I increased my intake from 1700 cals a day to 2500 a day. Not only did I not gain weight but I kept loosing weight. Me and that guy have had numerous discussions since then and he is now a convert. He no longer uses calories as a metric but uses mass as a measurement.

Calories never mattered to me, especially younger I lost weight with 3500 kcal days. Low carbs and high fat alwsys worked. But now I have been experiencing good results because of missing hunger. An unintentional "calorie deficit" (whatever that actually is) has kept my body fat disappearing nicely all year.

If I follow my hunger,I end up fasting. I'm trying to eat "enough" though.

I'm ketovore with 5-10 g carbs. High fat, about 75 - 80 %. But I tracked everything for a while and my cals are often 1000 - 1500 only. My (failed and stented) heart feels stronger than for years and blood ketones are high, 2.0-4.0.

We have to try things to know. I weigh and measure once a month, I'm approaching 85 kg. I was 110 kg in November. Many old jeans fit already.

Where the heck have you been buddy. We’ve missed you. I was getting worried that maybe that heart of yours had given out.

Glad to see you back.

@geezy I have had those same conversations several times today. We have a food vendor providing for the plant tomorrow and it will primarily be pork. At least three people asked today on whether I still eat pork on the carnivore diet. For some, the explanation seems difficult to understand. Then when I say I'm eating their pulled pork plus I'm bringing my own butter the confusion is ten-fold.

Not that I am trying, but it can be a tough sell at times. LOL
