I'm completely freaked out about my blood work results that I just got back. A1C went from 5.7 to 5.9. APOB is 174, total cholesterol 329, LDL cholesterol is 234, HDL is 77 and trigs are 69. I'm freaked out about the A1C and apob. My weight is great and I feel good.

Do you know your numbers? (I apologize if you've already posted them and I didn't see) Do you know your ApoB?

I keep a printout of my lab work so I can monitor how things are going on as a carnivore.

I’ll try to remember to look them up tomorrow.

On my last blood test my A1C was 5.6 which was up from 5.2 from six months earlier.

At 5.2 I had been a carnivore for 6 months. So at 5.6 I had been carnivore for a year. As I progress in my diet my hemoglobin are living longer so it kinda skews the numbers. I do not ever eat any sugars, carbs or artificial sweeteners.

Remember, our blood test results are judged against a thousand people who got there test done at the same clinic before us. As such we are judged against other people who do not eat the way we do. It’s a pretty un fair comparison if we are not judged against our peers.

My cholesterol numbers were,

Total cholesterol 329

Triglycerides 51

HDL 68

I have no concerns whatsoever about any of my numbers.

Oil of bergamot is used to flavor Earl Grey tea. It supposedly helps autophagy during a fast also. I have a bottle of true oil of bergamot and I add that to my herbal teas while fasting.

As far as statins go, you are the final decision in your own health care. Do your own research and if you don't agree with your doctor then you have the final say.

Have you had any issues with extra hunger after drinking it. I find that teas with fruity flavors make me hungry.
