comment_14238Hi all, I hope you all having a great day.
I am from Asia and get used to consuming animal organs such beef offal, pork intestines, chicken heats, and etc. What I realized during the time that I lived in the US is that I have problems to find good quality non-frozen animal organs and a lot of people consider them disgusting and not consuming it.
The most frustrating part is that only thing I could’ve find was frozen Chicken heart or kidney Yakitori (skewers) from Japan in JungleJim’s. Those are definitely over priced compared to when I get it consume them Japan or South Korea, and what I’m looking for is just raw red beef liver, unfrozen chicken organs, and pork intestines, like that.
I think Kroger and Wholemart are definitely not a place for me. I tried a few local butcher shops but in vain and it is unpleasurable when other customers seeing me crazy for myself looking for beef offals.
I enjoyed my time in Hong Kong, consuming all the animal organs as much as I want, but I feel a bit stressed to go back to the US and surrounded with wheat, cookies, and cakes and people gonna judge me while they are eating those stuffs. 😐
I would really appreciate if anyone shares your experience and tips to getting safe and fresh animal organs to consume.
Thank you!
